About this property

Cozy Seaside Cottage- BEST LOCATION ON THE BAY OF FUNDY SHORE!

Hello and thank you for your interest in The Cottage. This is your perfect getaway to relax and get away from it all. The cottage is for nature lovers, adventurers, day-trippers, readers, artists, and everyone who appreciates quiet and ease. It's the perfect place to step away from the disruption and overwhelm of the busy world. The cottage has fibre optic internet. Read below for the enrichment it DOES provide:

This lovely cottage is perfectly situated in the quiet working fishing village of Parkers Cove, Nova Scotia, approximately 10 minutes by car over the Parker Mountain from historic Annapolis Royal. Watch the spectacular sunsets over the Bay while you rock your cares away on the wrap-around porch. Spot porpoise, seals, and eagles as they occasion the cove and surroundings. Take a nap or read a good book in the hammock.

Refresh yourself as you beachcomb the rocky shoreline for miles. Enjoy local produce, baked goods, and fine crafts from the local farmer's market in Annapolis and then pick out your fish, scallops, and lobster from a local fish market or right off the boat where the salty fisherman's advice is always free, but not always accurate! Treat yourself to a day in town where shops abound and museums and historic sites will steep you in early colonial history.

Breathe in the flower fragrances at the Historic Gardens. Take in a movie or a live music performance or play at the King's Theatre. Take a hike or go kayaking at nearby Kejimkujik National Park.

Whatever suits your style, your pace, the cottage provides a comfortable and friendly 'home' for rest, relaxation, and recreation. Only 2 hours from Halifax, a day trip to other parts of Nova Scotia is very possible from the cottage.

The cottage itself is meticulously clean and tidy, well-appointed to make your stay comfortable and comforting. Feel safe and secure by knowing strictest housekeeping protocols are in place, including disinfecting surfaces and linens between stays. The cottage will be vacant of guests for at least one day minimum between stays. This may require flexibility on reserving your dates.

The cottage is considered by many, both locals and visitors, to be THE perfect spot on the Bay of Fundy shore.

PLEASE BE FLEXIBLE with your dates so that there can be 24 hours between your stay and the guests before and after you.

A million miles from distractions and 10 minutes to Annapolis Royal, a national gem with food, history, fresh seafood and produce, and a wicked little brewery. Google it all and go.

Visit the Annapolis Valley. Stay here!

Very private, cozy bay front property with private access to a cove next to the fishing pier. Despite chilly waters, our kids splashed for hours among the picturesque rocks. The interior is vintage and very thoughtfully adorned with antiques and well appointed for a comfortable stay. We had a minor snafu with an appliance during our stay and Beth was very responsive and attentive, having it addressed quickly even after a holiday weekend. A perfect launching point from which to explore the Annapolis Valley!

We didn’t want to leave

Besides the stunning location, the well appointed rustic seaside cottage, being able to hang clothes outside and the spellbinding silence, it was transforming. Perfect for reading, painting, rug hooking, sun rising and sunsetting walking thru the longest daylight of the year and wilderness trails . Learned about Canadian birthplace and history through the garden. Our time was wide and long. Will be back!

Completely relaxing

My mother travelled from Ontario and we came just 2 hours to spend quality time in a relaxing setting. We enjoyed every moment, from seeing eagles soaring and seals chilling out to the boat action in the marina. Everything we needed was in the cottage, we rarely left the porch and feel rejuvenated and rested after a supposed heatwave then rain storm came through, we barely noticed! Thank you to Beth for creating the perfect bayside retreat with all the amenities and THE best view.

Rustic cottage by the Bay

Reminded me of an old family cottage - rustic and comfy but a little musty. Our last 2 nights here were quite cold and turning the heat on helped clear the mustiness. No tv or internet (which we knew) and we couldn't even get cell service which bothered my husband, but there was a great paperback collection. And the view over the Bay of Funds was spectacular!!

We will be back for two weeks next year!

Beth's place is right on the water. It is very quiet, loved watching the tides role in and out. The home is exactly as pictured, well organized and not over crowded with "stuff". Loved the porch-we saw lots of birds, seals and a humpback breech twice! He put on quite a show! The location is great for many day trips. We loved it so much we are hoping to reserve for two weeks next year.

Lovely cottage on Fundy shore - quiet, comfortable and close to interesting places.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was a great place for my little dog. The kitchen was amazingly equipped to our great enjoyment. Beds were okay but not wonderful. One of us stayed in the bunk room which could use a door. The double bed rooms were good. There were a lot of things to do within an easy drive and just sitting on the porch or down by the picnic table and gazing at the sea was super. There was a great little restaurant 5 minutes drive up the road and Annapolis Royal was lovely with many things to do.

Perfect Getaway!

Beth's cottage was just as advertised - a quiet, peaceful retreat. We enjoyed walking the rocky coast, relaxing on the porch watching loons, seals and a bald eagle that frequents the area. We really enjoyed experiencing the rhythm of this small active fishing village. The cottage had everything we needed.

Excellent getaway!

Like a trove of blueberry bushes hidden in the forest, I am tempted to keep this property a secret. The cottage is nestled at the oceanfront of a small fishing village and is ideally situated for an escape from crowds of people and the mind-numbing ubiquity of the internet and television. looking out from the wraparound front porch, the view is divided by a harbour wall, with the charming harbour to the east and an expansive stretch of undeveloped sea-shore to the west. The opportunity to experience private and stunning sunsets was a true luxury, with seals making several appearances. Inside, the cottage meets the platonic ideal of maritime cottagery: nostalgia, charming furniture and art, cleanliness, and impeccable organization (especially in the kitchen) best describe the interior. The owner is very kind and responsive. Would definitely return!

Four Weeks in Paradise

We spent one week at the cottage back in 2011 so when I had the chance to spend my sabbatical of 4 weeks there I jumped at the idea. It was the perfect place to spend an extended time away to relax, renew, and rejuvenate ourselves. We enjoyed waking up each morning and spending time on the porch drinking coffee while we watched the constant parade of seabirds going here and there. We saw new ones we did not know existed which as a family of auks (murres) with their little white chests as they would dive underneath the water searching for food. We saw other birds that are not seabirds also, such as two bald eagles and an osprey. We saw a seal out in the bay twice as he swam here and there. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. The cottage does not have television or the internet which was also great. For four weeks we never heard a negative news story about wars or strife or world problems. We listened to a station in French on the radio so that we heard a variety of music in both English and French but could not understand anything the announcers would say. Having a break from the media was great in that it allowed me to read 6 books while I was there also, something I need to do more often but do not seem to find the time while at home. We cooked in the well-supplied kitchen daily and got the hang of sorting out the trash for recycling, which is something that Nova Scotia leads Canada in and beats most of the US in doing. It was no problem, just something that we did since that is the way that people live in Nova Scotia. We got our seafood at the nearby Nautical Seafoods, just up the hill from the cottage and enjoyed scallops on a regular basis. We shopped the Saturday Market in Annapolis Royal each week and drove to the Wednesday Market in Kentville on three different Wednesdays. We looked around the area and took day trips here and there exploring the Acadian Coast and the Annapolis Valley. The farthest from the cottage we went was for a night away on Cape Breton Island where we attended a Ceilidh and had some fabulous chowder. Otherwise, we stayed within 100 kilometers of the cottage most of the time. I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone who wants peace and quiet and tranquility. It was just what we wanted in order to recharge our emotional batteries.

Beautiful Spot!

Can't begin to explain how wonderful this place is. We so enjoyed our stay here. The view of the working fishing harbour was amazing. There was always something to watch as the fishermen were coming and going. We also enjoyed watching the birds and exploring the rocks while the tide was out. The cottage itself was a delight. It is kept so very clean with everything you could possibly need. Wonderful selection of reading materials & games and music cd's. No need or want for a tv or internet access! So many things to do in the area. Would highly recommend Mariners Whale Watching out of Tiverton on the Digby Neck. We would not hesitate to suggest this cottage to anyone!

Quiet and Relaxing

Great location for those who want to explore Annapolis Valley. Location is perfect if you want to get away from the technology world and enjoy the cool ocean breezes and smell the salty ocean air. Beautiful sunsets! The owner was very helpful and adressed all of my questions and concerns prior to our arrival. The property was clean and well maintined. We treated it as if it were our own. The kitchen was well stocked with an assortment of cooking essentials. There was always something to look at from the wraparound porch, bald eagle, fishing boats, seals and ducks. We did however purchase a bigger propane BBQ with canisters in order to accommodate our family of 4, which we left for other renters' to enjoy and we had to borrow a local fisherman's fishing equipment in order to fish off of the docks. Observing the tides first hand was incredible! The Bistro in Annapolis Royal has great food. Touring the many historic forts is educational and fun. Upper Clements Adventure Park is great fun! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your vacation home. I would highly recommend this gem.
