The check in process was super easy, and the manager provided directions before we left which were great! My pups and I really enjoyed the stay! Great lodging for checking out the Talimena Byway which is the definitely worth the drive!
The cabin has an awesome view of the mountains in the area, as well as the sunrise first thing in the morning. There is a lot to do in the area, we were only able to do the scenic drive and go to Robbers Cave. We will definitely be back to explore more of the area.
This property and the cabin was awesome. Missy was a great host, she gave me very specific and accurate directions on how to find the cabin as google maps will not take you there. Everything about the trip was great. Its a great place to get away and just enjoy God's creation.
the property was simply beautiful and so peaceful. my nephew and wife want to stay here again at next family gathering, so i am renting it again right now.

What a great experience! I was traveling for work in Talihina and stayed here and it was an excellent experience. Was so quiet and peaceful just to relax after work with nothing but nature to listen to. The cabin was very clean and relaxing. I have already decided I will be bringing my wife back here for a relaxing getaway very soon.
This place will not disappoint you, the property was so beautiful and quiet, and immaculately kept. Missy gave us great directions from town we had no trouble finding the place. The cabin was warm and cozy and fully stocked with everything we needed. If you’re looking for piece, quiet, and comfort this is the spot, a hidden gem
I can’t thank the owners enough. My wife had an allergic reaction in the middle of the night that was pretty scary being from out of town and all so I called them at 1:00am to see if they had any Benadryl and they did thank God and brought it to us. So I can’t recommend them enough. Cabin was very nice in a beautiful area.
We were in the Talihina area for an annual Memorial Day gathering with our daughter-in-law's family. This was our first time to attend the gathering. To our surprise, her aunt and uncle rented the Deer cabin! Our cabin was the perfect size for me, the hubby and our dog, Daisy. The location is far enough off the main roads that you are emersed in the sounds of nature. We had morning visits from humming birds, woodpeckers and a friendly local dog that we named Red.
Our extended family members fished the pond behind the cabin and caught/released several large bass. Their kids enjoyed the play ground.
We will definitely rent again!

My husband, Bradley, and I have been enjoying cabin life for years. His family has had cabins in Southeastern Oklahoma for decades. My love of cabins didn't begin until we got married 20 years ago. Bradley's mother had cabins in the Kiamichi Wilderness that she so graciously let us go to every chance that we got. We lived in the DFW area for many years. Nearly 4 years ago we decided to move to the Kiamichi Valley. The cabin we built here became our home! It has been so amazing waking up to mountain views every day! We have two children, Jake 16, and Max 11. We live near Mountain View Retreat in Tuskahoma. We hope you find this area just as magnificent as we do!
Why they chose this property
Mountain View Retreat is a hidden gem! We found this property while looking for the next chapter in our lives. As soon as we saw it we were hooked! It is a beautiful property with a 3 bedroom house and 3 small cabins. The cabins all face a sprawling view of the Kiamichi Valley. It simply took our breath away! There is ample space on the property to roam. There are woods to explore, personal fire pits per cabin, plus another fire pit by the covered bridge, 3 ponds, and porches with grills to enjoy.
