Beautiful and quiet home

We did not get to spend a whole lot of time at the house yet every minute we did, the stay was quiet and very homey. We loved the layout of the house, and everything was easy to find, The locations was 30 minutes from Bardstown, 15 to 20minutes from Elizabethtown and an hour from Louisville. Great location.

A great family place for events in Elizabethtown and Mammoth Cave

Very spacious, clean and well stocked for my family of four adults and two young children. Nice to have linens and towels provided. Not much to brag about on the outside, but served our needs perfectly.

Grils Weekend

The house was surprisingly roomier than expected. Kitchen/Dining Area is very large. Definitely recommend for family gatherings. House was laid out so we had our own personal space and common areas. Washer/Dryer were great adds. Easy access to highways and town. Highly recommend renting this house. We are already planning our trip next year. We will definitely be renting this house again!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at this house during our visit with our family from Kentucky. Having more seating options in the living room and even some chairs out by the fireplace would have made this place perfect! The house was larger inside than what we expected and really enjoyed when we hosted dinner for the family! We will be back and stay here again so long as our numbers stay low. If we bring all the adult kids and their significant others next time, we would need a place that sleeps more! Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay!

Super cute and clean little property

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We came out to Kentucky to visit family. The house was in a very quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and comfortable. The house had ample things to cook with in the kitchen but I recommend the host buy a plastic spatula to cook with I felt so bad using a metal one in their pots and pans. The other amenities like a washing machine and a dish washer we’re icing on the cake. The host was incredibly communicative and a pleasure to work with. It was chilly a couple of nights we were there and wished the house had extra blankets for the beds and throw blankets available to use. The back yard was nice but we wished they had a few chairs for sitting around the fire pit and that the host would of had some fire wood at the property so we could of had a nice fire and sat around it to relax. And we also wished there had been a bbq grill available to use as well. This was a fairly new listing to vrbo though and only a few people have used the house so far so I’m sure the host is still new at this and will use these suggestions as future considerations for their property. I would definitely stay here again and again it was great. Thanks for a great time.

Great stay

Very clean home with a great layout. Floor plan is perfect for a family with a toddler. It was easy to get her to sleep in a room located away from the other rooms and the living room area. All of the beds are comfortable. All necessary amenities are present. We couldn't have been more pleased.

May Trip

It was a good location for activities in St. Louis, mammoth cave, corvette museum and the Lincoln boyhood sites etc. Hogdenville was a great historic small town with lots of ambience to offer. We had a great time in the area and enjoyed a home base to relax and away from hustle and bustle

My name is Eric. I was born and raised in Elizabethtown, KY! I’ve been in this area my whole life so if you have questions about the area I’m happy to help. I enjoy hiking, skiing, and history! Hodgenville is just outside of Elizabethtown and is a cute little town, this home is just a few miles from downtown Hodgenville. The town square (circle) is so well preserved and well kept. My wife and I love all the town festivals that go on often downtown. There is a beautiful nature park just 3 miles away called Creekfront Park.
Also McDougal Lake is a nature preserve with beautiful scenic hikes around a serene lake! We love our home here in Hodgenville! The house is cute, (my wife decorated it:) cozy, and spacious!

Why they chose this property

The neighbors are quiet and friendly. This is an older neighborhood. The average age of the people in this neighborhood is 55. We loved our neighbors when we lived here. Also there is only a few houses past ours on this road and we live on a dead end street so there is very little traffic.

What makes this property unique

The kitchen is really large and so is the living room. You will enjoy the size of the home. The pictures don’t do it justice. My wife and I lived in this home for 8 years and love this quiet neighborhood! The property the home sits on is one acre so there is a nice private backyard behind the house. Swing on one of the swings on the beautiful massive tree in the backyard.
