Great house!

This house was great for our family of 10! Great location. We skied everyday and enjoyed CB and the Almont resort restaurant across the street. Fireplaces didn’t work, so that was a bummer. Also, the water heater cannot accommodate 10 showers at a time. Take short showers..

Relaxing time with family

We had a relaxing time while other family members spent some time hunting. I especially enjoyed sitting on the deck reading, enjoying the view and sounds of the river. So peaceful. We had plenty of room. The living areas were very spacious.

Amazing mountain getaway for all ages

Fabulous property! Was a great location for 3 families ranging from grandkids age 2 to grandparents. Great outdoor space to play that was fully fenced and in the shade and an amazing porch to enjoy the river. Everything we wanted and more. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful home

We had a ski weekend with friends at crested butte. This home was beautiful and clean. It has large windows to allow sunshine or admire the snowfalling. It’s literally on the highway to crested butte (no off-roading). Highly recommend.

Excellent accommodations and service

This beautiful house was perfect for our group of 11. Everyone slept very comfortably and we had plenty of bathroom spaces! Although we had a small issue with the furnace the first night, the management company made it right and it sounds like it shouldn’t be an issue again. Being in Almont was a very quiet and serene experience. We even saw a large herd of elk out the back door one evening!

Great house for large family

We needed a place for multiple families with adult, married children so we needed lots of bedrooms with queen beds and bathrooms. The Almont House fit the bill. Great place for multiple families to do their own thing during the day and gather for dinner and games in the evening. It is in a good location with easy access to Gunnison, Crested Butte, and the surrounding wilderness. We had a blast.

Almont Property in December

None of the fireplaces worked. Even though they were not listed as an amenity, they were in the pictures and on almonthouse.com.The book to the home said maintenance would be by and explain everything the first afternoon. We never saw this person. We did call two days in to find out about the fireplaces and the stove. One fireplace had a sign that it didn’t work. The other fireplace did not. We came very close to starting a fire as it looked cleaned and ready to use. This was a liability not told to us, explained or written anywhere. The downstairs had a strong musty smell probably because of the hot tub. The hot tub was about 6 inches low on water and when turned on the jets that were not covered with water started shooting like a fountain. The condition of the stove and the oven did not work well. Took almost an hour to boil water because of the design of the exhaust. The oven door had been twisted and extremely hard to open. There was a leak in the foyer coming into the home. You could open the doors only partially in the smaller bathrooms as they would hit the shower. The grill was not set up to use. Stoppers were not in some sinks. Not being told about safer level property entrance When I spoke to the mgmt about the larger issues and requested a partial refund as I was paying 1000 a night. I was given 200. Not sufficient in my opinion.Small things that make a big difference when you’re paying this much money and a house full of people.
