We loved our short stay at Dixieland Delight. Very clean and comfortable. Great communication from the host. It’s very close to RP Funding Center. We would definitely stay again!
As nice as the house is (and it is nice), what makes this place special are all the great outdoor spaces for conversations, relaxing and enjoying the cool night air. I was there with my two brothers to see Detroit Tigers baseball, but the best moments were hanging out at the house talking and laughing. Thank you!
Stayed here for a coach retreat at Southern College. The property is well kept, comfortable, clean and beautifuly decorated. Great place to relax in the outdoor space.
Will stay here again!!
We spent a weekend here and loved our stay at Dixieland Delight. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The lock system was easy to check in and check out with. Beds were very comfortable to sleep in. The outdoor area was a wonderful touch. I've never really spend a lot of time at a VRBO in the backyard, but the sitting area in the tiki hut made it irresistible. It was the perfect place to enjoy our morning coffee and hang out. The decor throughout the house added to the overall welcoming and "homey" feel. Location was also important to us and we could easily get to the convention center and downtown in just minutes. Highly recommend!
This house was the perfect spot for our family to relax together after a busy week. The backyard is a wonderful spot to read, listen to music, and enjoy the games. The front porch swing and the visiting kitty cats were also ideal. Cobb and Pen is just two doors down and delicious. We also enjoyed the antique shops in Lake Hollingsworth. Recommend!
My husband and I enjoyed staying in Dixieland while visiting our son who attends FSC. The home is close to restaurants, stores, and lakes. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is very well stocked and the backyard was a comfortable hang-out! The owners provided great communication and were very attentive. Highly recommend!
Close to RF Funding Center for SEU Graduation. Very clean, comfortable beds, and k-cups were provided for Keurig.
We spent much of our free time on the covered back patio (fan, raptor Bluetooth speaker included).
This home has so much character and we enjoyed our stay very much. Would definitely return. Great location for parents that need to be near Florida Southern College to visit kids. Central to everything and safe. Loved it!
What a charming property! It was perfect for the three of us for a few days. Very well appointed, cozy and convenient to downtown. The host was super responsive when I had a question about parking. Make sure you make your way a few blocks to Lake Hollingsworth and enjoy the view! Would definitely stay again.
This was an amazing find! Location is perfect friendly neighborhood and close to everything. Very clean and comfortable for our family of 4. We will definitely go against next trip to Lakeland.
The house was just as cute and clean as it appeared in pictures. It is super close to everything fun to do in Lakeland: Cobb & Pen, the Farmers Market and Lakeland Community Theatre. It is also the perfect location for a sunrise stroll around Lake Hollingsworth. The beds were super comfortable and the outdoor area was cool and inviting. I will definitely stay again and look forward to it.
Lovely house, lovely location, it certainly was a delight and, as a bonus, just 2 doors from a brewpub. The Cob and Pen is in a former church, interesting ambience but great beer.
We loved staying here. If we return to Lakeland it will be our first choice. We tend to move around for our Winter break but Lakeland could be a revisit.
Visited our daughter who recently graduated from FSC and now teaches in Lakeland. House is in a perfect fairly central location and sets up nicely for a comfortable place to stay. Love old houses, interesting layout, and the tiki hut out back is awesome. We love Cobb & Penn a couple doors down. Sheree was great and incredibly responsive. Would love to stay here again.
We came into town for our daughter's graduation. We had our immediate family and my elderly parents. This place made the best place to call home for the weekend. We were able to host our family gathering around the dinner table, played games together in the living room. The beds were very comfortable.
Thank you for helping us to celebrate our grad well.
Clean house as described on VRBO. Location on the same street as Cob and Pen and a few short blocks from Born and Bread. Less than a mile from Polk Museum of Art, Lake Morton and Lake Mirror. Location served our purposes for the weekend. The house was comfortable for 4 adults. Communication with owner was prompte and timely.

My husband, Tim and I have owned several long term rentals and have always wanted to host a vacation rental. We are both from Key West and moved to Lakeland in 2005. We fell in love with the community and the people. We love living downtown and walking and riding our bikes all around. Our other love is being on our boat in St. Pete. We both work at the community hospital ( Lakeland Regional Health). I am a nurse but transfer to HR a few years ago and my husband works in Supply Chain.
