Lovely cabin on the water

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the sound of the river flowing outside our window. The area was great for cycling the McKenzie River Trail, and visiting the general store and restaurant down the road in Rainbow.

Cozy Cabin

I had a desire to stay in a cozy cabin in the woods by a rushing river for Thanksgiving. A tall order I know. This property checked all the boxes plus all the more practical and less romantic in that it was spotless, not fancy but well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the heating system took the chill off the rooms quickly, not an issue in summer, but much appreciated in late November. We enjoyed walking the trail, a real treat with all its flora. The whole group of cabins is lovely. Probably not the best choice if you aren’t mobile, It’s a short walk from the car to the cabin and this time of year there is weather, but for us, It simply added to the aura of being away from it all.

River Stay

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a trip to see the Oregon football game in Eugene. The place is beautiful with the river in the backyard and river noises drowned out any roads sounds that might be concerning. There are a couple small restaurants within walking distance that are worth eating that with some interesting ambiance. He will definitely stay there again and would recommend anybody.

Perfectly Perfect

This stay was perfect right from the start as communication with Jonathan and Lisa was easily done. Clear instructions on using the cabin. Accurate descriptions of its appointments and surroundings. Clear directions for locating the cabin and how to care for it during our stay. Every single element of the cabin is just right. The architecture is perfection with attention to detail that makes it well above most river cabins. It’s well-equipped for cooks. The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and warm. Warmth! The cabin is cozy in all ways. And there are decorative touches, such as original art, that make it very personal and that was especially nice. We’ve stayed in several river area places, but never any with riverfront access for fishing. This was a treat! We each caught trout within steps of the cabin. Having the privilege to bring our dogs was most appreciated. Having them with us enhanced our time there immeasurably. We hope to return in spring. We hope always to return.

Beautiful cabin in fairy-land setting

Very close to the river. You can hear it all the time. Beautiful large screened patio overlooking river. Nice separation between two bedrooms, each with own bathroom. Very comfortable living room. Great ambiance all around. You will be delighted. Hands down, the nicest place we have ever stayed.

Pure magic

We absolutely loved our stay here. The screened porch was the best thing ever! Loved to sit there and listen to the river, so calming! Although we had cabins on either side, it felt more private than any other place I’ve stayed. The cabin was gorgeous and had everything we needed.

Breathtaking

What others said about “pictures not doing justice” is true! The cabin is amazing, from layout to views of McKenzie River to the property itself. The place is clean, cozy and had all that was needed for our stay. The screened sunroom is such a great touch that allows you to hear the river/nature upfront without the insects. Def recommend and will certainly be back to this gem.

Paradise

The cabin was as described. Charming in every way. The river view and sound was superb. Jonathan was very accommodating. One thing that could have made the place better was if there was a washer and dryer since we were there for 2 weeks

Nice cabin rental

Really liked the cabin rental at McKenzie Bridge. Enjoyed having coffee on the back porch while listening to the river. Very peaceful. My only complaint was the master bedroom bed. Mattress and pillows need replaced.

Wonderful property, hosts very kind and accomodating. Staying right on the river made the perfect backdrop for games and the white noise of the water was wonderful. Booked twice now and will book again.

1.We wear disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Gloves are discarded after each cleaning. If reusable gloves are used, those gloves are only used for cleaning and disinfection of surfaces.
2.We clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in household common areas (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, sinks) between each renter.
3.We use the following disinfectants for cleaning the cabin; diluted household bleach solutions, alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol, and most common EPA-registered household disinfectants.
4.We clean the soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes, remove visible contamination if present and clean with appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces.
5.We launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. We wash towels, sheets and bedspreads with the warmest appropriate water setting (hot water) for the items and dry them completely.

Why they chose this property

This location is the closest to the river of all the cabins in the community. Enjoy the extra large screened-in porch facing the river -- you may never want to leave. This location is just 20 minutes from Clear Lake and Sahalie Falls, Just 20 minutes from Proxy Falls and the lava flows of Belknap Crater. 20 minutes from Terwilliger Hotsprings and Cougar Reservoir. 3 minutes from Tokatee and the local store. soak in the hot pool of Belknap Springs within 6 miles. The famous Mckenzie River Trail and the incredible Blue Pool are favorite hikes, but don't forget the Castle Rock, Horse Pasture and the world famous Pacific Crest Trail located within minutes of the cabin. Wonderful fishing opportunities, including fish viewing. There is a fish ladder at Leaburg with a large state run hatchery and just below Trailbridge Reservoir, there is a spawning channel for salmon and steelhead spawning.

What makes this property unique

The intimacy with the river and the exit door off the huge screened-in porch make this the most unique cabin on the property. The proximity to local sites and activities makes this the best over-all location in the Upper Mckenzie River Valley. Located half-way between Eugene and Bend makes this a great vacation base from which you can see the rest of the state -- just a few hours to the Oregon Coast or Central Oregon and literally an hour from the University of Oregon. Some people take day trips to Crater Lake from the cabin. Some people never leave the screened in porch. What's your style? Either way, this cabin works for you.
