Labor day

Nice place. Smaller than the pictures show. Not really on the creek either. Lots of highway noise. Hot tub and porch were great.

a few issues

To start I’ll say I did give the manager a chance to make this right. They asked what I thought would be fair and I responded that they should decide. $50 reimbursement would’ve been enough for me not to leave this review. First thing I noticed was overgrown yard then the lawn guy was there mowing 3 of the 5 days for about 1 acre. The tall dead stump near the fire pit has poison ivy on it and I seen yellow jackets entering the stump. We have a two year old. We weren’t able to access the front door with the provided code when we arrived so we made a run to Walmart for groceries while waiting on a response. The cleaning lady did give us access when we got back but the code never worked during our stay and had to make sure we had the spare key with us. The water in the hot tub had a slight smell to it and floating chemical container had no chemicals. The living room HVAC unit doesn’t work great and we couldn’t use the living room fireplace to provide more heat due to not being able to locate the remote. There’s an ant issue. We noticed them around the bathroom and kitchen. One of the island chair backs was broken but I had my drill with me so I fixed it with a screw I found.

We are registered nurses that specialize in nephrology. We have a 13 year old daughter name Chloe. After the pandemic, we decided to spend our savings on a mountain getaway that was available for everyone to enjoy. We hope our visitors feel the dedication and love we've put into this unique vacation property. We chose King Rentals to manage our property because it is family run business that is proven to be dedicated to providing an amazing guests experience.

Why they chose this property

The convenient location and the unique and charming features of the cabin will make you happy with your choice. For example, the in the kitchen and living room constructed from a 150 year old barn that once stood on the property. The former owners family used the barn to hide a secret moonshine still during the 1930's prohibition era.

All of the cabinets, countertops, and beds, were build from scratch by local craftsmen.

Greenbriar Creek makes the property have the feel of staying in the national park. Wildlife, including black bear, frequent the area. The Eastern Hemlock and giant Rhodenderons, unique to the region, can be found throughout the property.

There's a brand new hot tub that is emptied, sanitized and refilled between each stay. You can binge watch your favorite shows from the hot tub on the 55 in smart TV. See pics for reference

The large, covered front deck features a high end competition dart board. There's also an outdoor kitchen! It's complete with gas grill, a flat top griddle, and refridgeration. A table with 4 chairs is also located on the deck.
