Quiet and fine location

The location is very convenient, a couple minutes in either direction of the main road will get you into tannersville or further in to catskill. the food is quite simple and good in town as well as a grocery nearby. Propertywise, The driveway is very small, so either approach slowly and don't be mad if you missed it. This property allowed three dogs which we were very lucky to find. Lots of open space in the common area, the bedrooms were reasonably comfortable. The climate was cool and there were fans in each room. Overall, it was fine. Communication was fine, albeit canned. Got the information I needed

Convenient location but poor communication

Overall the weekend stay met the bare minimum for us but minor improvements can help for future visitors. It is located close to the mountains for skiing and the town for restaurants and groceries which were what enticed us. The circuit breaker kept tripping though so you could not have both the fireplace and heater on for too long at the same time. I expect this happens with older properties and cottages. Responsiveness was not great with the owner where the replies were generic and almost automated. I asked questions prior and during the stay but there were no answers to them. We arrived on a weekend when there was snow coming in which was perfect for skiing so I asked ahead of time if the lot would be or was plowed but did not receive any answers. It was not plowed when we arrived so when we entered the property we had a hard time figuring out where to park since we could not see anything. We found 1 shovel at the house to move the snow for our cars to come in. The house number was also not correctly labeled on the property but we were able to figure out which house it was based on the pictures online. The shower door does not close all the way so some water comes out onto the floor. We put multiple towels down that were provided to help with this. There is no hair dryer so you have to bring your own. There was also a dead mouse in the outdoor garbage bin we saw while preparing to leave so I had notified the owner in case they wanted to inspect anything after we left.
