This modern comfortable home has a split bedroom floor plan ideal for 3 couples with two modern tiled bathrooms. A covered cathedral ceiling rear deck faces a pine forest for relaxing or outdoor dining. A circular drive and a two car garage allows ample parking for the boat or an extra vehicle.


Screen Porch: Fully equipped Kitchen, queen bed master w/shower bath, queen and twin beds in 2nd and 3rd bedrooms with shared tub shower bath, cable TV/DVD/stereo, wifi internet, gas fireplace, screened deck, washer/dryer, 2 car gar, grill, private yard and more.

Activities: This property is both a Summer and Winter rental home. Summer activities are related to the close proximity of the mile plus long beach for daytime swimming or to just have a fire on the beach at night to watch the stars over Lake Michigan. Golf courses are very close and hiking trails are found just a couple of blocks away. Biking in the neighborhood is an everyday activity. This neighborhood borders North Point Nature Preserve and Beach. Our favorite activity is sitting on the screened porch, grilling fresh lake fish, and sampling local wines with friends. This is followed by a fire in the firepit or gas fireplace talking about the days activities. Winter brings in family downhill skiing at Mt. McSauba Recreation Area. Boyne Mt. and Nubs Knob ski resorts are less than 30-40 min away. Cross country ski trails are just down the street.

Area: Carlevoix is known for its friendly atmosphere, great restaurants, summer time outdoor concerts, and the marina right in the middle of town for great evening strolls past the big boats. Petoskey, 15 miles north, has a casino. Charlevoix Lake offers inland boating at its finest. Public access to Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix are abundant with outstanding parks.

A great summer getaway

Our family really enjoyed our time away at this beautiful home Tucktaway in the woods two blocks from Lake Michigan and two blocks from a nature sanctuary. Every day we saw a deer, two baby fawn twins trotting through the backyard, munching grass and enjoying the neighborhood… You’ll love this place!

We had a great time in Charlevoix. The house was perfect. We had 6 in our party. The back porch was great. We enjoyed watching the deer in the yard. Its a great quiet neighborhood. This house has everything you need. We will be back.

Comfortable but could use a little updating! liked the location!

The house was comfortable, we liked the fact that it was set back away from the road and the wooded area behind was really nice! We saw deer every evening! The back porch was great for morning coffee, reading, evening drinks! The grill outside could be updated and the house overall could be updated a little! But overall we enjoyed our visit and would probably rebook! Loved the location!

This place was phenomenal. The area was quiet. It was walking distance from Lake Michigan, and from McSauba park. It was on a quiet traffic free street. It was close to downtown Charlevoix (less than 2 miles), it was also close to Petoskey (15 - 20 minutes). The house was very clean. It was large. It had nice hardwood floors throughout. The covered back patio is great, especially on a rainy day. You can enjoy sitting out there listening to the sound of the rain. The house had all the amenities you could want (washer, dryer, cable, internet) The kitchen had all the tools, pots, pans, and other utensils you could need, There was a fire pit in the back yard. This is our second time at this house, and we plan on returning.

Well Appointed Home

We had a great week of weather, and a perfect stay in this clean and well kept home. The highlight is the large screened in porch on the entire back of the house. Would have loved a floor lamp out there to be able to read at night. Fans, bikes (2), well equipped kitchen, even Air conditioning which we did not use! Even though we were not on the water, it is easily accessible by bike or car or you can walk to the dunes on Lake Michigan for a quieter beach. Very nice spot!

Convenient, well-maintaned and equipped rental

This nice home in a quiet, residential neighborhood is spacious for one or two families. Nice screened back porch. Close to the lake and hiking trails in Mt. McSauba Park as well as public golf courses. It's on the north side of Charlevoix which makes it easy to get to Petosky which has a larger number of shops and restaurants than Charlevoix.

Wonderful vacation

My husband and two young daughters rented this house for a month and couldn't have been happier. It was in a great location, 5 minute walk to beautiful Lake Michigan in a quiet neighborhood. The screened in porch was a wonderful spot where we ate every meal. It offered all the comforts we could ask for, including a great fire pit, bikes, canoe, and lounge chairs. If we have the opportunity to come back to Charlevoix again we would love to rent this place again:)

Wonderful space!

We rented this house in July while visiting family in the area. We found it a great place for family gatherings. The screened in porch was the hub of all activities and many great family meals. The house was clean and very comfortable and provided lots of space for 3 couples and a couple of kids. The short and easy walk to Lake Michigan was well travelled by us all, and the 5 minute drive to downtown Charlevoix (the Beautiful!), was really convenient. The owners of this property were great to deal with and we'd recommend it to anyone. We'll probably try and rent it again on our next trip.

Great!

More than enough space for my husband and I and our 3 young children. We dined on the gorgeous screened-in patio every evening and enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit on the nights that we weren't out and about enjoying Charlevoix and the surrounding areas. Clean, comfortable and quiet... making for a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy time with family!

Sisters Get Together a Success

Wonderful home. Large screened-in porch w/dining and extra seating capacity, outdoor fire pit, several blocks walk to fabulous sunsets, quality furnishings, spacious bedrooms, workable kitchen, great for cookouts or eat ins, laundry room (less packing). Mid-town Charlevoix is a quick drive or a 25 minute walk away. The home added to the enjoyment of hanging out with family.
