The perfect cabin!

This was the perfect place to stay for a nice get away with friends! Plenty of room with many things to do! The location was perfect and the scenery was beautiful. I would 100% go back!

Annual family adventure

The property was Beautiful. Overall a great vacation. However, there were no matches/lighter to start fire and the wait time was significant. There was standing water in dishwasher but we ran it anyway. It did not seem to work well and had a significant odor. We chose to hand wash dishes. After one use, the propane tank ran out, so we were unable to cook bacon outside the next morning. Once we mentioned it, Ted did bring a replacement. These were minor inconveniences, however it did cause undue stress in the moment

Relaxing Getaway Weekend

We had a small group of guys that wanted to do a golfing and fly fishing trip. Staying at Lester River Pines was the perfect spot for us. Beautiful chunk of land with a deck that provides beautiful sunrise views over a pond. We particularly enjoyed the large kitchen as it was easy to work in while cooking. There were towels and toiletries laid out in every room and the house was very clean. From start to finish our experience was top notch and we will definitely look to book here again in the future.

Perfect location just outside of Duluth

This property was the perfect place to stay for our company fishing trip. The location was remote enough that you didn’t have close neighbors while still being conviently close to town. The house was beautiful and clean with plenty of added amenities. We would absolutely stay here again.

Graduation Celebration

A beautiful backdrop and plenty of room for our gathering to celebrate our daughter’s St. Scholastica graduation. The wrap around deck and kitchen full of amenities were my favorite places to be. So much attention to detail in this charming home. Personally connected with the own who has a lot of pride in his home. The few small issues were followed up and resolved via Chat.

Family Get-Away

My family loved this place. It was close enough for trips to the Duluth Aquarium, Canal Park and Russ Kendall's for smoked fish. It was far enough outside of town to have beaver and ducks on the pond and deer in the field across the road. Lots of room to have quiet time and family time inside and outside.

Very beautiful property! Amazing views. Host did not inform us that they would be working on property the 1st day. They were working on the side of house where. Master bathroom is with large windows with no curtains. We were unable to shower or use the bathroom this whole day do to they would see us. I had a newborn and my dogs. The dogs would bark at the pounding and voices. Waking up the newborn and causing alot of Un needed stress. Host needs to inform guests before they arrive that this will be happening Or do not rent property while work is needed. Beautiful home, great location.

It was a great place. Very clean. Secluded enough but also close to the city if you forget something. The only downer for us was the oven is little tricky to turn on and i texted the number that was given to me for help but did not get a respond.

Awesome property!

We had a family group including grandparents, children and grandchildren and a couple of pups. The house exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of space to spread out and it was very clean and nicely appointed. The property was private and would be absolutely gorgeous in any season. We would all love to stay again!

The Best Family Christmas Location

We stayed at Lester River Pines for our annual family Christmas gathering. This home was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family. It was decorated for Christmas, and party hats were left out for our birthday celebration as well. Every bedroom was gorgeous, and the beds were very comfortable. We had plenty of room for all of us to spread out, yet be together. There were family games to play, and of course, the pool table got a workout from the older kids. The grounds were lovely, and we took several walks through the surrounding woods. The kitchen was filled with all the pots, pans, plates, and utensils you could use. We had plenty of room to eat in the dining room and the huge kitchen island. We had a fire going in the fireplace almost the entire time, and the whole family could sit on the very comfortable couch! All in all, we just had a great time, and Lester River Pines made it all possible.

Beautiful Retreat Just Outside of Duluth!

We stayed at Lester River Pines over the holidays. What a beautiful home and a beautiful location! Great house for a family gathering, comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, and comfortable living room for gathering to watch a movie or play a game. Communication from start to finish was helpful, timely and clear. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Christmas Gathering

It was a wonderful location! It was a woodland winter wonderland buried in the woods. We had a large group for 4 days and it was perfect! Close to town and grocery store. The amenities we excellent and bedrooms were all comfortable! Wood burning fireplace was the best and decorated for the holidays. Can’t wait to go back! Beautiful views of the river too!!

Disappointed

The disappointment was something fierce when I rented this place 6 months ago SPECIFICALLY because it had a hot tub and I review the listing the week before we stayed to see that this amenity had vanished. We spent way more money on this house for that reason and it was quite dissatisfying to find out not by a message from the owner but by reviewing the property listing myself. I feel that is a poor business practice to not notify of the change nor try to alleviate the unexpected change in any way. The house was nice otherwise, hard to appreciate it when I was so bummed though.

Great girls weekend

We had a really nice girls weekend staying at Lester Pines. The kitchen was a perfect size for our group (9) and the bedrooms accommodated our group comfortably. The twin beds in the basement felt less hospitable than the rest of the house, but worked fine for one of our friends who stayed down there. The hot tub was out of order, which would have been nice to know prior to arrival. Additionally, we didn't receive arrival information until on the property and needed to contact the property manager to get access. But the property manager was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. We would stay again!

Almost perfect!

This property was nearly perfect. The house was really lovely, cozy, clean and very inviting with many amenities. Our biggest concern is the online listing information. It does not comfortably sleep 12. It comfortably sleeps only 10 in queen size beds in five bedrooms. The other two women on our retreat slept in a lower level room and it was very cold and had no bathroom access at that level. Without a bathroom on that level I cannot reserve it again, and I really would like to. The property manager was fabulous! She promptly responded to every one of our needs, but obviously could not build a bathroom! I highly recommend it if you do not need to sleep 12 comfortably.

Loved, loved, loved this property!

Our family stayed at this property as a birthday party celebration which included White Water Rafting in Carlton, MN. We were so impressed with all the amenities in/with the house. The accommodations were perfect for every personality that we had along with us. Every detail was thought out including the owner leaving some birthday favors knowing we were celebrating a couple birthdays. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well appointed and the outdoor furniture and fire pit was wonderful for spending quality time together. I sent many communications with the owner/manager and they were so fantastic at responding right away. We were so impressed and would love to make this an annual outing!
