Really enjoyed our stay. Hubby and I stayed 5 days with our two little dogs. Everyone enjoyed the Cozy Cottage. It was clean, tastefully decorated, well stocked and the host was very accommodating. We’ll miss our stay, and can’t wait to return someday. Also, the little black kitty became our friend! Excellent place!
Went to see our son graduate infantry school. The house is located in a perfect location to everything. It was clean and nicely updated. Perfect for a quick trip to Jacksonville, thank you.
My stay at the Cozy Cottage in Jacksonville, NC was simply delightful. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in warmth and comfort. The cottage exudes charm, with its tasteful decor and attention to detail.
The living area is inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the nearby attractions. The kitchen is well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. I particularly enjoyed sipping my morning coffee on the quaint patio, surrounded by lush greenery.
The bedroom is cozy and inviting, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. The bathroom is pristine, stocked with fluffy towels and essential amenities.
The location is ideal, situated in a peaceful neighborhood yet conveniently close to downtown Jacksonville and all it has to offer. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventures or simply a quiet retreat, this cottage is the perfect home base.
Above all, the hospitality of the hosts was exceptional. They were responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable.
I can't recommend the Cozy Cottage highly enough and look forward to returning for another stay soon!
This is our second visit to this home and we enjoyed ourselves again. It's in a quiet area and not far from Jacksonville. We love the attention to detail, from a small snack basket to bedding, they provide everything you need.
We are pet lovers and go everywhere with our fur babies. We did have an extra visitor this time, a sweet black kitty. Our dogs are fine with cats and it wanted to join our family. If you are allergic to cats, this could cause an issue as it was hard to ignore him/her.
We will continue to come back again and again.
This place couldnt have been more peefect for our stay. I didnt have to worry about my dog with the back yard fence and it was well stocked and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of closet space. I love that the little kitty met us on the porch every time we arrived back to the cottage.
This is our second time staying while we visit our daughter. We love the privacy and that we don't have the added expense of boarding the dogs when we travel. We are already planning our next stay!
We came to visit with our Marine and enjoy the area. The house was super cute and the attention to detail was wonderful. We were staying with our pups and Dena even left us sweet dog treats. The furnishings were comfortable and clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The included coffee and kcups so appreciated until we could get to the grocery store. I will definitely stay again the next time we are in the area to visit!!
We were looking for somewhere kind of last minute to spend a long weekend. Daycare had teacher work days and when we realized they were closed it was only about 3 weeks away. The property was clean and had everything we needed. The pull out bed was perfect for our almost 2 year old…. She sleeps on a floor bed at home and I wouldn’t feel comfortable with her in a “normal” bed… but it rolled out so close to the floor… it was really comfy too! Backyard fence was great for letting the dogs out and not have to take them on full walks. The neighborhood cats stopped by the porch at night was an added bonus… we lost our 20 year cat a couple months ago and miss having little meows around. The house is off of a pretty quiet road… some neighborhood kids playing basketball in then evening and most people going a safe speed. About 15/20min to N topsail beach access and about 10/15 to Jacksonville. About 1 minute to the main highway.
Little touches for guests were well thought out… plenty of towels. Paper towels. Laundry supplies if you needed them. I noticed a toothbrush in a drawer in case you forgot yours. Lamps with outlet plugs… etc. thank you for sharing your home!
Perfect place for our visit with our son before he deployed to Japan. The fenced in patio with chairs and grill allowed us to relax outside with our dog and cook out. The home itself is beautifully renovated - we are in the midst of our own renovation so we took plenty of pictures for ideas. The location is quiet - a bit of a secluded feel - yet convenient to Camp Lejeune. Attended Verona Methodist Church down the road on Sunday - very warm and welcoming congregation. Great stay overall.
This was a lovely property with beautiful furnishings, comfy beds, and well stocked with everything we needed. I typically pack extra little things like olive oil, spices, coffee, laundry pods, etc… but Dena, the host had included those things. She was also great at communicating. The fenced area was good for the dogs, but not as sturdy for medium to large dogs. We kept our dog on leash because we were concerned he would push through it to chase the neighborhood cats. Over all, probably the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at!
The house was very clean and was stocked with wonderful amenities (i.e. snacks, drinks). The place was very clean and spacious. There were two things that detracted from our stay which make this listing a 4/5 rather than 5/5 for us:
1. We found a single cockroach in the bathtub during our stay
2. There was sometimes sounds of continuous gunfire that lasted until ~11pm (though I suppose this is to be expected given the location)
Overall, still an excellent stay for a good price.
This cottage is cozy and cute. We really enjoyed our stay here. Its proximity to the New River & Camp Geiger side of Camp Lejune made our stay very convenient. The host provided everything we needed and was very easy to communicate with. Beds are comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!
