Lake House

My husband rented this condo for 2 nights of our trip to the Eureka Springs area, but we only ended up leaving early and only staying for one night. I was able to get in touch with Vacasa quickly for check-out instructions. The condo was was cute, but definitely appears more rustic in person. It smells like a cabin, and we did not sit on the couch as it appeared to be damaged. We were excited about the kayaks but didn’t end up using them because there wasn’t a very easy access point nearby. Cell service and Wifi are extremely spotty. Pretty neighborhood of lake houses, but it is extremely secluded. It is approx 45 min away from any restaurants/stores. In the future we will be choosing rentals closer to town.

Great Hopes, but fell short.

Our stay was a week long. Cottage located in a beautiful area with lots of wildlife around. Unmaintained yard is steep, with sharp rocks and old wooden steps that are somewhat treacherous to climb. This cabin is not kid-friendly as the steps to the loft are dangerous for young kids. Lacking utensils: enough forks, but only 3 spoons and 2 butter knives. Not enough cups/glasses or coffee mugs. Oven did not work. Dryer did not work and we had to hang clothes for 5 people all over the patio. Cannot comment on fire pit, as we didn't use do to the hornet infestation at top of house frame on front patio. There were red-wasps nested at top on back side of house where you entered property. Sewage fumes were backing into the property in the laundry room and downstairs bathroom. The smell was terrible. Internet did not work, so no way to watch TV. Worn out couch had been broken with two wooden blocks attached on one end for make shift legs. We immediately reached out about the problems. A bug man came 2 days before we left to spray the hornets. They were still swarming when we left. No other problems taken care of. We've used VRBO in the past with no problems. However, this property is handled by VaCasa. There was no contact between us and the homeowners like our past experiences. We asked for some kind of refund for all of the problems, but have not received a response. We do not recommend this property unless updates and repairs are made.

Weakened stay

We stayed here two nights, it was clean and nice, we enjoyed the stay. Easy to find and access home through keypad. We appreciated dishes, stove, dishwasher, etc. were able to eat in for a couple of meals. Do recommend.

Charming Nostalgia

This quaint little A-frame stepped right out of the 70s-80s and nestled itself magically into the Ozarks. Instant grandmillennial charm is evident the minute you walk through the door. It is furnished in a retro design with MCM elements. Even though you feel like you stepped back in time it is full of modern amenities such as wifi, Bluetooth speakers, smart thermostat, pid coffee and on and on. Everything you need for an enjoyable retreat at your fingertips just bring yourself, some good food, a great read, oh...don't forget a good album for the record player nestled under the spiral staircase. It may show it age in places but don't we all eventually.

Cute house

Cute house, beautiful area. It was quiet, and enjoyable. No designated beach access points, so unable to use kayaks. Washing machine can't be left open to properly ventilate so it STANK. Beds/furniture were comfortable. Rental process was smooth.

Nice retreat!

This house was great and the neighborhood is very nice. The kayaks are an added bonus with the close proximity to two state parks. I missed this in the photos, but if you have younger children the front porch is a little nerve-racking with the wide spaces between the spindles.

Peaceful

Peaceful, quiet, relaxing stay. The only two small issues we had was misinformation about how far the water was and the outside gas fire pit. It’s a downhill walk to the beach but uphill and very steep back up and you have to walk through tall grass so use bug repellent. The trees obstruct the view of the beautiful lake from the deck. And fire pit had no propane in it so to enjoy that we had to buy propane there should be a note in the description about this but wasn’t and when we ask about it the response was it’s not a amenity. But the next guest will have propane, but take note that it’s not a “amenity “. Everything else was nice and clean , a beautiful home with a retro vibe. We had a wonderful, relaxing, time and would most definitely return. The wildlife was always around and fun to watch.

Arkansas stay

Place was very clean. Would be nice to have bbq grill. Plenty of towels and that was fantastic. Layout was great because they could be upstairs and had a bathroom
