Great Place

House was wonderful in a safe location that was easy to get to. It had so much space for our big group and was very clean. They had so much to do for all ages as we had kids ranging from 1-15.

Family Christmas

The house was very well stocked with extras in the kitchen. Coffee, creamers, tea, firestarter for the marshmallows. the kids loved the game for the TV upstairs. And outside in the garage upstairs was a big game room. They had lots of things to play with. Would love to come back someday.

Family friendly!

Awesome family friendly home. Took 5 grandchildren ages 3 months to 9 years. House had anything you could even think of to keep them entertained and the pool was just across the street. Also a plus that everything for the baby was provided so we didn't have to pack any baby items other than diapers and milk. Very close to Tweetsie and Grandfather Mountain

Location, location!

The house was everything we expected it to be except poor accessibility to the rivers edge. Also, this is a very narrow section of the Watauga river. It’s more like a big creek. The front yard and the backyard had not been mowed, and it was noted that the backyard is purposely overgrown to accommodate wildlife. The back deck and furniture had not been blown off or cleaned off and the fire pit had an infestation of ants so we did not use those chairs. However, there is a great front porch with rocking chairs. The house was very clean, a well supplied kitchen, although the chef knives were very dull and the cookware not the best. If you cook a lot on your vacation, bring your own knives and your favorite skillet. Something was wrong with the oven. Every time we used the oven, it would burn whatever we were cooking on the bottom and would hardly cook the top. With a family of 13 with small children, we did a lot of cooking. There is a great dining room with a large table. There is no central air, however they do have wall units and window units that worked perfectly. The neighborhood is very tidy and the swimming pool is located right across the street. The tennis courts are not playable, they need a lot of work so don’t plan on playing tennis. There were lots of toys for the children and anything you would need as far as baby furniture. We had a great time together and I would recommend it to a family with children.

Great place for a family time together

This was a great place for a family get together. The house is a center point in the area. We went zip lining, hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, water rafting, and sight seeing. Then when we came back to the house, it was great to climb into the hot tub and relax the old muscles. The kids loved the game room, and the river was available for fishing. In fact a guide was on the water behind the house instructing a fisherman on technique, that my grandson, a teenager took in every word.

Great overall

We enjoyed the house and location as it was a perfect fit for all of us! The only thing I will mention is the hole in the ceiling in the master bedroom. I believe there was a leak, but now it is covered by plastic and there is a musty smell. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The perfect family house

My husband, my parents, and our 3 children (age 6, 3 and 3 months) had an amazing stay with nothing but great things to say!! Perfect location -- close to everything, on the river so the men could fly fish, arcade games and tons of toys and room to play, fully stocked kitchen, ans even a rocking chair to use with baby. We will defifinitely be back! Thanks for a great stay!

Family Memories

This house is everything you see and more. It was the perfect setup for our kids and their cousins to have a memorable family trip. The house is stocked with video games, train sets, legos, books, bunk beds, cozy coupes and more that the kids enjoyed. The adults enjoyed the stocked kitchen, on-site hot tub, views of the river and easy access to the pool and tennis courts. This home gets our highest review, and we are already planning our return visit.
