The cabin was perfectly located for our weekend snowmobiling adventure with HighLine Adventures at Kingvale. Close enough so that those who tired early could walk back to the cabin which is cozy, warm and nicely appointed. It was so nice that any time we were not on the snow, we spent back at the cabin rather than driving into Truckee. Lots of space for playing games, cooking, and telling tales. The woodstove is awesome. Andy is a remarkably thoughtful and responsive host. Great pre-check directions and ideas for activities. One factor in our choosing Andy’s place is his pup-friendly policy. His people-friendly vibe will keep us rebooking. Highly recommended to others.
This was our kids first snow vacation. The cabin had a lovely creek and grounds for the kids to explore. Sleds and snow shoes at the cabin made their adventures even more exciting. The cabin was very close to Mt. Boreal and the hwy.
We had a wonderful seamless experience. We enjoyed all the details the property had to offer inside and out. The host was thoughtful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again!
Great place to enjoy the snow! Cabin was neat and comfortable with sufficient amenities, cozy, and close to many resorts. Easy access from hwy 80 with regularly plowed roads. Owner was extreme helpful and responsive. Would love to come back!
The cabin was cozy and warm. Fireplace had plenty of wood available. Space heaters up in loft area and bathroom. Beautiful location on the river. Snowy drifts all around, but driveway was clear. A private hill for sledding, beginner snowboarding, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing down the street (a 3 min drive to off-street parking). Just may have to stay aware of the occasional snowmobile.
Andy was a most attentive, generous and thoughtful host! Cabin has all that our family of 4 (plus dog) needed. We would most definitely rent this sweet home again.
Our experience could not have been more perfect (except for the crazy weather maybe). Fist of all, the host was extremely accommodating, communicative, hospitable, and friendly. We started on such a wonderful note. When we arrived at the property, I was taken aback by how charming and overall lovely this cabin was. There has obviously been some recent work put into the cabin, but it doesn't take away from the rustic charm. The kitchen looks pretty new with great appliances. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. The furniture is comfortable, clean, and in great condition. The property overlooks the river and is absolutely picturesque. The stairs leading up to the bedrooms are a bit steep, but we managed. My two year old was able to climb up, but needed help coming down. The property does not have central heating, but that wasn't an issue at all. There are plenty of space heaters and a wood burning stove/fireplace in the living room that keeps the cabin toasty. Each bed has a heating blanket. The upstairs rooms have skylights which is gorgeous when it is snowing. The property is less than 10 minutes from Soda Springs and is minutes from a little snow park as well. I LOVED our stay here. There is no TV, but great WIFI. I was happy to have a screen break, so the TV wasn't a big deal at all. We were so sad to leave. Thank you Andy for a great experience!
