Come watch bald eagles soar over towering pines next to the crystal clear and private Carpenter Lake in Eagle River. Our resident loons will lull you to sleep with song. Carpenter Lake is renowned as one of the best private lakes in the North woods. No public boat ramps ensures a tranquil, crowd free stay! Fish, swim, kayak, paddle boat, sunbath, hike, bike, hunt, fall color viewing, cross-country ski, ice fishing and snowmobiling. Enjoy all the North woods have to offer.

Southwestern exposure offers you incredible views of the lake and woods from this well maintained year-round home. The home features 3 full bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, bunk room, loft, fire pit, screened porch, fireplace, private sand beach, fully equipped kitchen, great room, washer and dryer. Enjoy that morning cup of coffee from our deck overlooking the lake. We have a dock for your boat(private boat launch on the property) and a swim platform for the kiddies of all ages. 5 Kayaks, paddle boat, lounge chairs, and firewood are included in the rental.

Master bedroom has a king bed and crib, downstairs bedroom #2 includes a queen size bed and a twin. Bedroom #3 has 2 twin beds. The loft features a full size bed and 2 twin bed. Downstairs in the walk out basement is the bunk room and family room. This room contains 3 twin beds and a set of bunks, twin over full bed. In the family room there is a table for games couch and TV. Great room has 2 full size leather couches, and a recliner chair along with a large dining table, large HDTV, and wood burning fireplace. A full size HE washer and a dryer. Pak n Play, youth chair, and highchair are also available by request. Beach toys, and house toys included.

Wildlife abounds, nesting pairs of eagle and loons, deer, chipmunks, birds of all kinds add to your viewing pleasure. Come stay with us, postcard sunsets are free.

Met/Exceeded all of our expectations.

Fantastic property and stay. Anything we needed was included. Many properties list full kitchen and have one pot, one pan, two plates... not here. We were able to cook for and serve 17 guests with no issues. The peddle boat and kayaks were a hit. Cindy was very responsive and greeted us a few minutes after we arrives. I would stay here again.

What More Could You Ask For?

After a lot of property searching, we chose this property to celebrate the cancer remission of a family member. We have never done this previously; being joined by our two daughters and their family (7grandchildren, ages 1 to 12). Loon Haven offered everything and more that we could ask for. The children caught fish, played in the sand, swam, played lawn games on the huge front lawn, and made smores in the outdoor fire pit. Cindy has thought of everything to stock the home with. The adults enjoyed a fire in the fireplace while the kids played with the provided toys downstairs. We really appreciated that we could all spread out. The home had many safety features for small children such as life jackets, and a gate to deck stairs. We created wonderful memories for a lifetime and wish to thank Cindy for hospitality.

Beautiful Home with Exceptional Host

We had a wonderful time. This property was absolutely stunning. There were so many things for our group to enjoy on the property including outdoor equipment, water toys, and lots of relaxation chairs to enjoy yourself. Inside the property it’s was exceptionally clean with plenty of games to play. This spacious rental slept a great amount of people and worked perfectly for our group. This is a property where you do not need to bring a thing with. The host Cindy was also exceptional. She answered any questions promptly. She is very friendly. She is very knowledgeable about the area and has great advice if you are coming from afar. Anything we needed she was there for us. I can definitely say without a doubt, it will not be our last time here. I would highly recommend this property. I cannot say enough how grateful we’re to experience a place like this. Thanks again!

Everything you need is here!

This property is even more impressive in person than in the photos. The owners provide so much on site entertainment for both the kids and the adults in the form of kayaks, paddle boat, paddle boards, sand toys, fire pit, yard games etc. Our group of nine adults and two kids had a fabulous long weekend together.

Perfect Family Vacation

The lake home was everything promised – spacious, clean, well-stocked home, huge open yard, sandy beachfront on a clear, quiet lake to make for a perfect family vacation. Plenty of games, toys and watercraft to keep kids and adults busy. Gas and charcoal grills were available along with a huge fire ring with plenty of wood. Easy check in and out. We’ll be looking to stay again.

Just marvelous!

We brought an extended family of 15 and had a fabulous week. The cabin had everything we needed, as promised. And the beach, what can I say except it was perfect for our group! The little ones spent the entire week at the beach. Fishing was great and supplied us with a fish fry enough for all of us. The large grassy area let us golf and play cornhole and frisbee, and gave the kids tons of space to run and run and run. It was our best family vacation so far. Thank you, Cindy!

Amazing Cabin Weekend

This place was AMAZING. A group of us rented it for a winter weekend get away and it was the coziest place on earth. Tons of beds, linens, blankets, etc. Check in and check out process were super easy. The property is BEAUTIFUL. We were absolutely smitten. All six of us adults loved the cabin’s layout and the kids had a blast. 10/10 would recommend and if we visit Eagle River again I would highly consider staying at the same property. What a great spot on the lake.

Great stay!

My friends and I rented this cabin for a snowmobile weekend getaway. Location was great and had all the amenities we needed. Lots of bed space and comforts of home. Also enjoyed the wood burning fireplace!

Great getaway for a big group

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful and very spacious. Everything we needed was provided, including a fully stocked kitchen, lots of towels, firewood, and gear and supplies to enjoy the lake. The property itself was very spacious as well and great for our dogs to roam around. The beach was right on the property and easily accessible for the kids. The lake was great for swimming and for fishing. There was also a pontoon boat we rented that was provided to us right on the property, which was great. There was lots of wonderful wildlife.

Home Away From Home

We always wanted to rent a cabin & we finally took the opportunity. Loon Haven met all of our expectations & then some! Carpenter Lake is a private lake which made it awesome for fishing & tubing. The cabin was very accommodating with 3 levels for privacy & yet fantastic for getting our family together! A big plus was that there was ample level/grassy room between the cabin & lake for playing games. The sandy/shallow beach front was loved by everyone too. We were all amazed by how well the cabin was stocked & equipped with all of our needs. Our family now have lasting wonderful memories & so can you!

Paradise!

Wow! What a great place! Cindy, and her assistants, Bear and Abby, were the most cordial hosts. They live right next door so access to the owner is convenient, if needed. The house, Loon Haven, is stunning, beautifully decorated, and stocked with every conceivable amenity. Super kid friendly with toys, games and videos. The grounds are well maintained with lots of outside gathering areas, including 2 firepits (one by the house and a second one closer to the waterfront) with Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, a huge deck off the back of the house with more seating and phenomenal views of the grounds and lakefront. Nice sandy beach, with pier and swim raft. Many water toys including a paddle boat and kayaks. A local shop stores a rental pontoon boat there, so it was easy to access and cruising private Carpenter Lake was a blast. We had such a great time and I would highly recommend this rental. The only complaint I would register is that our stay was too short. Wish we would have stayed longer! Thanks, Cindy, for a wonderful experience.

The beach was amazing! Just what I was hoping for! The house was perfect. Plenty of room & beds!

Cindy was a great hostess! Kitchen stocked, lots of toys and games, bedding and towels supplied. Just move in and relax and play!! We loved everything about our stay and already booked for next summer!!

Enjoyed every moment we had there,

The house and grounds are amazing here, the kids were busy every day and all day. There was so much space. The yard is large we played games and swam, picture perfect! The house comes with everything you need and more. We will be back next year

Great place to relax

If you are looking for a pacefull place to relax Loon Heaven is for you. Kids loved beach, men went fishing and ladies had great time relaxing at the pier. Best vacation ever!

Awesome!

Loon Haven was amazing! We were there with our children and grandchildren and EVERYONE had a great time. The beach area is simply wonderful, the grandkids could swim and jump off the dock all day long - they never tired of it! Campfire area was lovely, having kayaks available a big plus, and the yard had so much room for our 2 year old grandsons to run and play - just to see those little legs go brought smiles to our face. The cabin was absolutely perfect with plenty of room for everyone and well stocked with everything you need. We saw deer everyday - eagles, loons, and geese. Cindy was great and saw to all our needs if needed. Thank you Cindy for a wonderful vacation we will definitely be back!

Loved it!

It was all we three 60+ gals wanted and then some! The house was beautiful and spacious, well equipped, and we loved having kayaks right there, ready to jump into - that was the highlight. Although we usually go someplace different each year, I would LOVE to come back. We were enchanted, and one of the other ladies developed a sudden love for the Northwoods and plans to come back with another friend. We enjoyed two lovely dinners out - Chanticleer Inn and the Riverstone Restaurant, as well as the interesting shops in Eagle River. The other gals went horseback riding, we all took some walks, and enjoyed seeing deer almost every time we drove to town. Played miniature golf, went to the Wildlife zoo in Minocqua and loved the aviary with 500 budgies eager to land on you. Enjoyed a nap in the hammock. All in all, it was a wonderful week, but the house and kayaks made it special. Five stars in my book, and ditto from the other two gals.

Wonderful Loon Haven on Carpenter Lake

We LOVED our stay at Loon Haven. Carpenter Lake is beautiful...great for swimming, boating and fishing. In fact we caught so many fish (mostly good sized blue gills), that we had a wonderful fish fry on our last night there, and even brought some home. Every day we heard and saw loons and watched bald eagles perching in trees or dipping into the lake for fish. Loon Haven was clean, well stocked with cooking utensils and had enough sleeping room for our group. Added bonuses for our group were WIFI and satellite T.V., 2 refrigerators which saved us money because we did not have to buy ice daily for our beverages, washer & dryer, swim raft. Best of all, we were able to bring our 2 dogs which are integral parts of our families. Cindy, thank you so much for taking time out of your Sunday afternoon and visit with your friend, to help locate a pontoon for us. We definitely look forward to spending the summer of 2017 at Loon Haven (we'd be back next year but for a planned trip out West).

Perfect Family Getaway

My husband and I took our 5 daughters (3-12 yrs), and his parents this past weekend. We had plenty of space!! The house was very clean, had plenty of blankets/pillows/towels and had a very full kitchen, 2 refrigerators, toddler toys and many staples. The deck had a locked gate on it which was ideal for the small kids. The beach was perfect---slow sloping sandy soft entry to end of dock and another floating pad to jump off of. The backyard is huge and ideal for playing sports! The TV s, wifi and A/C were an added bonuses. Despite the lack of sun, our family had a great time and made many happy memories!

Loved our visit!!!

We just returned from our visit, and we had such an amazing time! Our number one priority when looking for a vacation rental is always the beach and water. Here, they are wonderful! Crystal clear water perfect for swimming in. The water was shallow enough for our 4 young children (ages 3-6) to be able to pretty much do anything without us worrying about them. Also, nice sandy bottom all the way out to the end of the dock. The beach just has to be seen to be believed - so clean and well kept, with plenty of seating, kayaks, paddle boat and a row boat to keep everyone busy! We also rented a pontoon, and the boat launch onsite was a huge bonus! The yard was another huge bonus! We brought our dogs with us, and they just loved running around and swimming. We saw a lot of eagles, some loons and had a family of ducks that visited us daily. They were so friendly, they even swam around us as we floated in the water! The house was wonderful - plenty of space for everyone and it had everything we needed! The owner was great to work with and always stayed in contact, very pleased with our experience. We will definitely look at coming back!

Great Family Vacation Spot

We had an awesome week at Loon Haven - children and grands spent quality time on the beach, in the yard with games and had a wonderful large dining table to eat meals together and give thanks. The kitchen had an abundance of supplies and all our needs were met. Cindy was easy to work with and always available to answer any questions. We all hope to return to this wonderful home!

Our family has always loved the Northwoods, no matter what season it is. Our 3 children spent their weekends here snowmobiling, fishing, swimming, or just playing in the woods with their friends. Now my 4 grandchildren are following in their parent's footsteps. This is stress free living at its best!

Why they chose this property

This is where our family comes to have fun, and we would like to share it with other great families. We believe the house and yard have everything you need to have a great vacation. The house comes fully equipped with linens and kitchen gadgets. there are 5 kayaks, new paddleboat(2019) and 2 SUP(2017), and both beach and house toys for your family to enjoy. There is a shed in the yard for you to use for all your toys. We also have a wagon full of beach toys as well as some extra life jackets and more in there for you to use. We have a Rental Pontoon Boat from the Toy Shop on site for you to rent, either by the day or the week. Give the Toy Shop a call at 715-479-7090. We have a boat launch on site for you or one of the local rental shops to use to launch your rental equipment.

What makes this property unique

Our beach is very rare to the north woods area. we have that sugar sand like you would find along a Florida coast. We have a level yard for playing games, or just relaxing in. The lake has a sand bottom and is clean as far as you can walk out. Sun yourself on our dock or the swim raft.
