The name Arthouse is due to the fact that it is centrally located between the most important museums of Dordrecht, (Dordrechts Museum, Hof van Holland Ann Kunstkerk) the Dordtse Schouwburg (Kunstmin) Arthouse Cinema (The Movies) and of course the important contribution of the famous Dordrecht artist Rein Dool in the design of the house. (Can be found in the bronze front door, the ironwork for the windows and the various works of art by him in the Arthouse.
The main entrance is is use as a small art gallery.

Exceptional B&B

The facilities at the Arthouse were superb. the hosts Letty & Cor were very attentive to our needs and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very stylish and spotless. large doors led into a lovely garden area to relax. They served an excellent breakfast to the room and the attention to detail was exceptional. There was a selection of drinks and snacks available on a honesty basis in the kitchen. The Arthouse is located in a quiet but central location with easy access to local transport links. a fantastic place to stay.
