Stayed for a month, mostly solo with occasional guests. Very spacious and inviting common room. Good for a family too. Would definitely stay again. Deeno for the win.
We moved to Colorado on a corporate relocation and were lucky enough to stay at Lisa and Mike's place for two months. This is a large and very comfortable guest house with a beautiful view of the Garden of the Gods. Lisa and Mike are incredibly thoughtful hosts! We were a bit sad to leave but will be keeping in touch with them, and are certain that other people will enjoy this guest house as we did.
My fiancé, our dog and I were fortunate enough to stay here for a couple of summer months in 2024. First off, Lisa and Michael are excellent hosts and people. We had a lot of packages delivered and they always brought them to the back door along with a text. They were so friendly and thoughtful and we always had good conversations. A big thanks to them for being such great people in general. Deeno was a great dog and host as well!
Expectations are out the window when you arrive and are surrounded by the trees, water, forest and all the colors.
There is plenty of sun, everything works as expected and the house just has a happy open vibe. The back yard is great and perfect for a dog or to sit out for morning coffee. It was fun to cook and look through the windows, sit on the patio and enjoy dinner, or sit on the couch and watch some TV. It's rare to look out the front or back windows and not see deer grazing.
Downtown Manitou is about a 1.4 mile walk and is full of fun shops and some really good restaurants (plus spring water to fill up).
There are dozens of trails to hike and very close are the Incline, Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Open Space, downtown Manitou, Old Colorado City and some really good golf courses.
We were very sad to leave as we felt at home there (and a week later still feel the same), but all good things have an ending. We'll be back and this house and location will be the first on our list. It was a special place for sure.
