We attended a wedding in Memphis and this home was what we were needing. It has a lot of charm and the owner is very responsive. Thank you for letting us stay!
The front door was a little tricky and the shower was kinda gross, but we had fun. We went the Memphis Grizzlies game when we were there. This house was super close to everything and we were able to Uber everywhere we wanted to go in like 10 minutes.
The cozy home was the perfect spot for downtown Memphis! We were so close to all the hot spots. The home had everything we needed. Owners had great communication.
We enjoyed the area and the property was charming.
We had to text Cooper a few times and he got back to us in less than 5 minutes.
We had such a great time and already planning our next visit.
This property was exactly as listed. It’s an older property and the bed has quite a bit of sag in the middle, but all in all very comfortable place and just what we needed. We found there was terrific walk ability, the host was responsive to questions, check in and check out were seamless. We will return.
This is a great efficient house in one of the best neighborhoods in town. Great restaurants and parks within walking distance will keep you busy. I definitely enjoyed my stay and would recommend to pet owners traveling by themselves or a partner!
It’s was nice and historic. There was no dish soap although laundry detergent was provided. I do think it’s time for a deep clean. It has the original everything it seems which is cool if were in a museum but I do think the tub needs to be upgraded and central air and heating would be a plus. The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows.

The
THE WORST VRBO I HAVE EVER BOOKED!!! It smelled like a doggy daycare, the bathtub was so old cracking and dirty, the sheets had yellow stains on them it was so bad we cut our trip short because we didn’t want to bathe in the tub! Pissed is an understatement. This has me rethinking ever using VRBO again. I reached out to the owners they responded back promptly but it was like o well type response DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE
Just stayed for a night before traveling on to Alabama. It is an older place, but the bed was comfortable, it was quiet and everything was clean. We couldn’t have asked for more. The listing was accurate. Even though, one note, it’s best to put in the address directly into Maps. At least in my case, it didn’t bring me directly to the house when I clicked the address in the listing. Once I figured out the address wasn’t in my directions the issue was resolved. I’m chalking that up to my error. Just wanted to share to prevent others from doing the same.

Why they chose this property
This unit is a single-story 1 bedroom 1 bathroom unit. It is one side of a duplex in a beautiful historic neighborhood walking distance from Overton Square, Overton Park and Memphis Ballet. It provides all the privacy and convenience one could ask for in a short term stay! From convenient off-street parking in the front of the building, to a private entrance into a living room that spans across the space to the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. Off the kitchen to the right you have the laundry room where you can wash your clothes after a long trip and to the left a breakfast nook for some relaxing breakfast and coffee.
This historic revival has charm and personality - from the soothing blues and other colors that are sure to inspire calm and relaxation after a long trip. The unit is cooled by 3 window units and stays pretty cool. During the winter months, there is central heating wall furnace that will heat the space sufficiently. We have box fans and space heaters located in the main bedroom closet.
If the historic revival itself isn't enough, our location and easy access to everything in Midtown - Overton Square and Overton Park surely takes the cake!
