We had a wonderful week's long stay at this property, ages from teenager to grandparents. It is evident how much this home has been loved through the years. It is charming, but updated in the right ways for guest comfort. The home is nicely located close to town. We took advantage of the short walk on several occasions. The home is large with ample gathering space. The check in process is easy and Wanda is very accessible for questions. We especially enjoyed the large front porch with plenty of seating for everyone. We very much enjoyed our stay at this very sweet home.
We loved this beautiful historic home! It is walking distance to the downtown area of Waynesville, and close to all the things we wanted to do. Plenty of room for 8 and could have even accommodated more comfortably. Wonderful stay!
This place is like being back in time! Absolutely beautiful old farmhouse with feel at home style. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed relaxing on the porch watching the squirrels and chipmunks playing around. The outdoor space with fire pit was very nice and relaxing. We hope to come back here again. Charlie is a very sweet lady and met all our needs, you will enjoy her! Thanks again Charlie for allowing us to vacation at your place!!
We had an amazing time at Twin Maples Farmhouse during our annual girls getaway. The porch was perfect for relaxing and catching up with each other. Downtown is very convenient to all the shops and restaurants, all in walking distance. We all loved the farmhouse charm! We would definitely come back!
Truly enjoyed our stay- home was beautiful and in a great location. A wonderful time was had by all- the holiday decorations were a special touch we enjoyed very much. Thank you for a great vacation!!!
For anyone who enjoys stepping back in time this was an amazing place. Each room contains so much history, including photos of the original owners. I loved sitting on the porch and the shops in Waynesville. We had only one concern and that was promptly addressed by Wanda within hours. She was great to work with, even contacted us to tell us we could check in early!!!!!
We had a great experience staying at this property. Charlie has great communication!
We had two families staying together while we attended a conference at Lake Junaluska. It was an easy drive to the lake each day. It is conveniently located close to downtown Waynesville and local stores.
Our favorite part of the house was sitting around the dining room tables to eat, play games and talk. There was plenty of room to spread out and have our own space.
We love to cook, and the house had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Very nicely stocked!
Perfect week away!
I love the location of this property. Could easily walk into town. Good parking. Bedrooms are spacious. It is a traditional historic home with a lot of charm in character. Enjoyed our stay very much
The house is old farmhouse. It was built in 1907. It has been upgraded and has all the modern conveniences. Two bedrooms have en suite baths and the other two bedrooms have adjoining baths. The big yard is great for kids to play. Each bedroom has a TV and there is a TV in the sitting room. Internet connection is strong. The property manager is friendly and respoonsive.
This old farmhouse/former B & B, built at the turn of the 20th century, and situated on a beautiful lot overlooking a creek, grassy fields, and countless fireflies, was the best "find" I've ever made on VRBO. The furnishings were impeccable, the accommodations were spacious with huge bedrooms and a bathroom for each, the kitchen was fully stocked, the air conditioning was great, and the front porch had enough rockers for the five of us. This was an unforgettable stay in a lovely home, and I couldn't recommend it more.
This was a great choice for a short family getaway. Property was very close to shopping, restaurants, and scenic location. The property owner was wonderful to work with!
Three men between 55 and 65 stayed in the beautiful old home for three nights. We were there to ride motorcycles in the mountains. The home had a very comfortable bedroom and bathroom for each of us. It had more space than we needed. It had a wonderful porch with rocking chairs. There was a great fire pit with more outdoor furnishings that was very useful. It was a great property and exactly as advertised. We needed solid pavement all the way in and plenty of parking for the motorcycles. It was an easy 5-10 minute walk into town. It was perfect for our needs. Thanks Charlie.
We’ve been to Waynesville many years in October. This is our first stay here. There were 6 of us, plenty of room to visit or have privacy, eat, or sleep. Easy walk to Main Street, a little up hill! but doable
Great host/owner and one of our best trips
This house is lovely. The charm it exudes is endless. Everything we needed was at our disposal. The only thing I would like to make clear (because I missed it) is that the house only has window units for ac. This was not a big deal for our time of visiting, but could be if you go in the summer and are hot natured. This is coming from a 40 year old woman. Lol…
I would come back to this house again, no questions asked. It was amazing.
We had a wonderful week at the Waynesville House. This Grand Victorian home is so well maintained and appointed. From the hard wood floors, period doors and wide porch to 5G WIFI, this house gives the best of both centuries. Super comfortable beds, room bedrooms and 3pc bathrooms. It's a 7 min walk to the downtown where we walked into every shop and contributed to the local economy :-) Great restaurants for foodies in downtown and in nearby Hazelton, Bryson City, Ashville, Maggie Valley. Publix is just a short drive as well as the loal market stands - all the the edge of the Smokies. About 1.5hr to great waterfall watering holes and tubing. Highly recommend for a mountain get-a-way. Charlie is a great host in that all was ready for us to check in and enjoy. We communicated several times before the vacation and she was always ready with an answer or solution. Thank you so much!
Perfect spot for large family, walking distance to downtown Waynesville.
Loved this house. Tons of room with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen with any appliances /dishes you would need. Plus washer and dryer. Could walk to downtown Waynseville. Loved all the rocking chairs and seating outside, and eVen had a cornhole game. Than-you Charlie for letting us enjoy your home.
