No extra toilet paper for 4 people 1 role of toilet paper the outside swimming pool was cold every other hotel that has a outside pool has been warm idk why this was freezing cold and the room not even a sponge to wash dishes some of the dishes had brown stuff on them
1. Not very clean. Dirt on stove, trash under couch, food inside of sleeper sofa, dirty, sandy floors, first day had to pull out sweeper which smells like Cheetoes to clean, matress pads do not get washed between guests, balcony floor was blackish, and railing looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time.
2.Toaster did not work at all.
3.No soap was provided in master bath sink to wash hands. We found it in the kitchen almost empty.
4.Small complimentary shampoo and conditioner in both showers not provided.
5.Kitchen pans need updated,heavily stained,warped.
6. No guest book.
7. Very uncomfortable patio chairs and 2 of them had cracks that we noticed.
8.The elevator is a joke, long line, long waits.
9. Kids eating at pool, one washed ice cream of his face in the pool, also found a napkin at the bottom of pool.
10. Needs baby pool to control urine and feces, diapers.
11. Theater closed down due to leak in ceiling and trash can unable to hold water.
12.No complimentary towels in Roman spa area.
13. Refrigerator hydrator was wet and dirty. We had to clean before using.
14. No coffee filters supplied.
15. Breakfast bar is held up by shelving brackets but, I noticed a few of the white coverings were busted.
16. Room darkening shades were missing.
17. One floor tile near Refrigerator was cracked.
18. Washing one load of laundry before leaving is asking too much.
19. Communication between Vrbo and owner was difficult. Vrbo app did not work well..I still had to pay the Vrbo fee
We really enjoyed our stay this year! Frank was quick to respond to a small maintenance issue and it got fixed right away! We did not experience anything negative from this condo nor from owner. The only complaint I would have is checking out which took 30 minutes to get on the elevators - which is not Frank’s fault but Tidewaters poor management - some elevators weren’t working.
Overall, satisfactory place to stay. Clean and safe. Check in was really simple if pre-registered and we had no trouble with parking or amenities. Our unit was stocked with necessities and had a great view. Our host, Frank, was very informative and thorough thru email and very kind. Wait times for the elevators were problematic but that was really our only complaint.
Condo was nice and Frank was always quick to message back or call when we needed to ask questions. It was nice having beach service included and there is plenty of things to do at the resort. Only thing I didn’t like about staying at Tidewater was the elevator wait time. You need to plan ahead so your not late going places because of the elevator wait. We have stayed at other places just as big and didn’t have so much trouble getting an elevator. That’s not something Frank can control though.
Our stay in Tidewater was great! The condo was clean and had everything you needed. This was the first condo that we have stayed in that had an icemaker to fill the cooler every morning and made the morning easy. (it's the little things). My only complaint would be that the master needs a darkening shade to pull down at night as the room wasn't dark enough for me but even with that I would definitely return to. The view was AMAZING!!!
This is our second time to stay here and first time with problems. Upon checking in, it was a bit hectic where paperwork couldn’t be found & we had to get temp passes for that day-night and wait for office to open in AM. Our first night we found the room not very clean at all. We barely wiped down a counter where it was black. The bed sheets had sand throughout. We also noticed someone’s dirty laundry (sock and underwear) in the floor on edge of bed where my toddler almost picked up. We weren’t able to wash many things due to the mildew/mold in the washer and found the dryer wouldn’t dry the towels all the way without running more than once. There was also mildew all around the air vents and the master bathroom fan would not work and had dust caked up around it. The kitchen light would flicker and go off for about 5 minutes then come back on. The room needs a deep clean and replacement of the things that don’t work or completely dirty beyond cleaning by hand. Unfortunately due to the conditions of the room, we will not be booking it again in the future but would stay at Tidewater.
Very big and spacious, however bring your own pillows and bed topper, everything was great minus the bed was hard as a rock and we didn’t sleep well , other wise everything in the condo was perfect for me and my husband. We had our kids with us as well that loved the bunk beds
This was a hassle and it’s self to get to your room . The key pad didn’t work you had to carry around a key. The bathrooms smelled like mildew. The washer had mold. The tvs are outdated. The mattress is a very old mattress and super uncomfortable. As much money as this room was for a week I feel if things should be upgraded. I normally do not leave bad reviews. We are just very upset with this experience. The key pad not working was the biggest problem it wouldn’t even lock the deadbolt lock for security while sleeping. Hopefully this review helps get the proper upgrades that are needed.

Elevators!!!
This is not a review against the condo itself or the owner. This is about the resort. The elevator issue is absolutely horrible. Long wait times almost always but certainly on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. They should absolutely stagger the check in times. The wait on check in days (elevator) was up to one hour!!! If you stay here, stay on lower floors and be prepared to walk the steps!! Beach service is not good. Service is supposed to be until 5:00PM but they began taking up chairs at 4:00. We were forced out of our chairs every day between 4:00-4:30. The crew was unfriendly as well.
This condo has an amazing view of the beach. We had zero issues with the stay. If there was anything to complain about, it would be the wait time on the elevators.
However, when it was real congested, employees would get in and manually control the elevators to help cut down on wait times.
This condo is very clean and if you plan to stay at Tidewater, I would highly recommend this condo!
I stayed for an entire month. Didn’t want to leave! Any questions I had received a prompt response. The unit was spotless and had the most amazing views of the ocean, sunrise and sunset. Bed was comfy and decor was great for a beachfront condo. Had opportunity to meet the cleaning rep- very helpful and friendly. All around great trip! Left during first week of spring break and yes, at that time property elevators took a little additional time- my advice is use the express elevator- much faster! Doordash delivers right to the unit. Loved! Loved! Loved! this unit and the weeks spent there.
Good location with beautiful views from the 19th floor.
Frank was easy to work with and had a fast response when we had issues. House cleaning could have been better, as there was sand left in the throw rugs and on the balcony. We enjoyed our stay even though we thought it could have been cleaner.
Outside of the Hellevators, this was an awesome condo in the perfect location for my family of 6! There was plenty of space to were none of us were tripping over the other, and it was equipped with all things needed. Thank You for sharing your space!
This was our 1st time staying at The Tidewater and I can honestly say we loved it. We especially loved the 19th floor. One thing I can say is that my sister and I know that we can make it down 19 flights of stairs bc they were doing alarm testing and didn’t know that until we made it outside. We got a good laugh and thankful the other two days of them doing testing they let everyone know. The view from the balcony was phenomenal. I know everyone was talking about the elevator wait time but luckily it wasn’t that bad for us. All in all we had a great vacation and would definitely recommend this condo.
We enjoyed staying at Frank’s condo so much we will be coming back next year. The view was amazing. The condo had everything we needed and location was perfect to stay out of the traffic.
We loved this property! It was very beautiful. The restaurant and shop came in handy when we didn't want to leave the resort! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the king bed was very firm so we didn't sleep as well as usual since we are used to a soft bed. But other than that, the trip was perfect! Thank you!
We stayed a week and the biggest drawback is the elevator wait. At times it was a 30 minute wait! The condo was nice and as advertised. Had ding dong ditchers 2 nights in a row. We wish there would have been extra blankets and more kitchen utensils, such as a potato peeler and tongs. Overall enjoyed the condo but very crowded and encountered many rude people in PBC.
Stayed for a week with my wife and 2 children. It was perfect especially with the bunk beds. Elevators can be slow, but was expected with such a large tower and high volume of people staying there. Overall we had a fabulous vacation. Can’t wait to come back down.
I live in the Florence, AL area. I own a fine dinning restaurant serving steaks and seafood. Been in business since 1983. I own 4 condos in Panama City Beach and Destin, FL. I treat my renters as well as my customers at my restaurant. Love the beach and will retire there one day.
Why they chose this property
Tidewater is one of the best resorts on the panhandle. Not just the location and the amenities but also the way they treat there guest. You will love it.
