About this property
Luxury 5 bd 3,100 sq ft home on the river-3 min walk to free shuttle w/ hot tub
Single family home sits directly on the Gore Creek. Located in West Vail, 2 minute walk to the free skier bus and 1 minute walk to electric bike rental station. We also provide free bikes/helmets in the garage for renter use. Cabin is 2 miles to Cascade lift (even on Saturday mornings there are no lift lines here!!!) 3 miles from Lionshead gondola, 1.5 miles to grocery store- take the free bus all over Vail!!! Fly fish from the back patios! Gas outdoor fire pit with an 8 person hot tub overlooking the Gore Creek. Gas grill.
The space
Our home has 5 bedrooms: 2 king, 1 queen, queen bunks, twin bunks, fold out couch and a couch in the master bedroom that turns into a day bed and an office. It has 2 kitchens and 2 laundry areas. Our home has 2 separate living rooms and a ton of multi-level deck spaces. We have 2 outdoor tables to dine at and Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. Relax in our hot tub after a long ski day!
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home, outdoor space and garage. Guests will be given a front door code before check in and also a garage keychain opener for easy access to store ski/snowboard gear (on counter when you arrive). Please leave all outdoor gear/equipment in the garage. Gear is NOT to be brought through the front door. ALL GEAR IN THE GARAGE ONLY: there are ski racks. Thanks :-)
Other things to note
Bikes are to only be ridden in the summer months. Use the bikes, hot tub and river at your own discretion. The hot tub is very user friendly. There is a removable touchscreen remote on the side of the spa that will turn on the jets and also increase the hot tub temperature (please do not lose this hot tub remote, place back on charger when finished).
Please re-cover hot tub as soon as you are finished so it stays clean and sparkling lol. We use our home every month, we love it, please respect it like it is your own. The house has a lot of components, please do not hesitate to contact me with questions. Also NOTE: there is no AIR CONDITIONING, in the summer it gets cool at night, we open the windows and it cools everything. It is awesome to let the sounds of the river put you to sleep. We have a ton of fans (portable and ceiling) that cool things off if you put them in the windows. Bedrooms have humidifiers.
There is an iron and ironing board in main bedroom closet and a clothes steamer.
We provide the basics to get your vacation started - toilet paper/paper towels/laundry detergent for both sets of washers/shampoo/conditioner/body wash and also some sugar and pre-ground coffee. Salt, pepper, some cooking oil, and a variety of spices you can feel free to use. I usually keep plastic wrap in the drawer and we also have a ton of food storage containers you can use. We have a coffee grinder for those of you who like fresh ground beans (like me, I need fresh ground). Anything after 3-4 days, you guys will have to resupply on your own if you find you need to. Two grocery stores are 1.5 miles away.
Our home is perfectly located where you can bike to the mountain or take the free shuttle bus that runs all season. You can really get some peace and quiet on the river or you can have a crazy time in the village, it really is the best of both worlds!
