Bad Choice
Leslie’s apartment is small but cozy & nicely decorated.We were very disappointed in the host.When I asked specifically about steps,I was told there was a walkway around to the back & in the pictures it looks like a level path.We drove by a few days before we moved in &I walked to the top of the walkway & was concerned with what I saw. Given that my husband has Parkinson’s and I am recuperating from two hip surgeries following a fall we had asked specifically in advance & feel we were misled.Even after a second question, Leslie assured me that “there is no hill.”But there definitely was a hill and I have pictures to show it.Two days after moving in, my husband fell but luckily wasn’t hurt.We found another place to move to but Leslie refused to uderstand; she responded we were welcome to return. Bu this was not an option.We also learned that VRBO leaves such issues to the host and won’t intervene. In 9 years of full time travel we’ve never encountered a situation like this. We were extremely disappointed that Leslie didn’t value the safety of her guests.If you are young you probably won’t have an issue with the walkway but be aware that the listing is not accurate.Also, it is important to point out that there were space heaters & guests have no control over a thermostat. Also,outlets in the main area are loose & do not hold plugs for charging.From now on we’re sticking to other sites which have been reliable & helpful & support guests & hosts!
