The Bay Watch Resort is made up of 3 large oceanfront buildings and is only 2 miles from Barefoot Landing. Bay Watch Resort offers oceanfront seclusion and relaxation, away from the traffic and congestion of Myrtle Beach. This oceanfront condo is a corner unit in the middle tower and can accommodate 10 with 2 fulls in the master bedroom, 2 fulls in the 2nd bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. All 4 mattresses were replaced in November of 2023!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was clean. Toilet seat is broken and shower head in master bedroom is not height friendly. The appliances are old and rusty. The sliding door in the living room you can’t see through because the seal must be broken.

Safe location right on the water, 11th floor. The unit is large with a large entry hall, good size bedrooms and bathrooms but a small kitchen. Nice big balcony. It looks like the unit has been updated recently, although on the cheap side. The flooring is not level and probably won’t last long with wear and tear. The two beds in the master are way too soft, the two beds in the other bedroom were way too firm. Overall the cleanliness of the unit is good. The lobby is nicely updated and was cleaned a lot while we were there. The indoor pools were kind of gross looking, to the point I didn’t let my kids go in one that looked like a lagoon and there were ceiling pieces hanging down. I thought this building was older than it was based on this. My kids (6 and 8) loved the outdoor pools and lazy river, couldn’t get them out of it. The beach bar is awesome, great drinks ($8 a drink) and very nice staff. They had entertainment on the Monday we got there, I was told it was the last one of the season (we went the last week of August). Parking was pretty easy for us, it got busy for Labor Day weekend as we were leaving, but not crazy. The breakfast buffet in the cafe was great. Make sure you know the gate code for the parking garage, don’t hold up the line! For this unit you have to pick up the pool bands and return them at the end to the realty office, mildly annoying.I bought tickets through Xplorie but they charge some fee for it and are not forthcoming with their price breakdown.

Family Reunion
Great location, beautiful view! Unfortunately the primary door to the balcony has no lock and that cause a bit of concern for those with little kids (we have 3,5,9)… not a deal breaker but you also can’t use the travel locks because the track is on the outside of the door… I would stay again!

A nice stay
We had a nice stay. The room was clean. Some of the towels had light stains but not a huge concern. The bed linens were clean, no bed bugs were seen! No roaches or ants! The master shower doesn't drain well, the sliding glass door doesn't lock and the furniture is hard and stiff. We also weren't able to use the coffee maker because it didn't place the water in the pot instead it filled up where the grounds go and spilled all over the counter. They should consider replacing it. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I do wish there were better instructions on figuring out where our room was and how to get into the parking deck. The parking deck was extremely tight quarters. I felt bad for people with overly large vehicles. The pools were nice but we didn't realize there were pools in the other towers too so we missed out on those. The restaurant prices are steep but it's really convenient being in the resort. The Italian ice there was amazing. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon. I will mention that for less days here than at another beach rental it ended up being double the price because if the fees and that was a bit of a bummer but there were pools here so that made up for it a bit. Thanks again for a great stay. :)

We had a great time. Room was as advertised, we didn’t have any problems. The only thing I did not like was having to go to the rental agency to pick up the pass code and pool bands and have to take them back at check out. (it wasn’t far away just inconvenient)

Great condo unit ! Very clean (other than the balcony door jamb) and very spacious! Only two needs - new mattresses and a repair to the balcony door handle. The resort offers a lot of amenities, many water choices, restaurants and an ice cream shop. However, the indoor pools, whirlpool, and surrounding areas were filthy! While this is never acceptable, you would think during October, more attention would be placed in this area. All personnel were super friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here and would stay again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We like being up high with a balcony and this 11th floor condo was perfect. Location was nice. Close to shopping and restaurants. Our only problem was having to park in a building. Spots were too tight and it was hard to find an open spot we could fit in. We finally started parking on the top where there were no concrete posts, but of course, then we had to circle the entire building 6 times to come and go.

Nice location on the beach
We were very happy with this property located on the 11th floor right on the beach. Beautiful views, beautiful beach, and enjoyable resort. Close to lots of stores and restaurants. Barefoot Landing about 8 minutes down the road. There was some confusion at check-in as our paperwork said we were supposed to have two keys but there were no keys in our packet (and we had to pick up in the lock box since we got there after 5:00 pm when the office closes). We called the after hours number and got voicemail but they called back within minutes. Turns out we needed a code for the keypad but it was not listed on our paperwork. So there was some confusion on check-in but it was resolved quickly. The only issue I had with cleanliness in the rooms was that there was some mold on the shower curtain liner. Other than that we loved it and would stay here again!

The beds were a little hard and one of the beds had egg crate mattress on it that smelled like rotten eggs but when I called the reality company, they came right away and took the mattresses out of the condo. It would be nice if there was a few more towels, and another roll of toilet paper, paper towels and 1 more trash bag. It was a great stay and great location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, The beach was clean with lots of shells and view of the beach from the balcony was amazing. We had bad timing with the lazy river being shut down the entire week and 2 days of loud compressor noise during their repairs, but the other pools were nice, we loved the ice cream shop and the restaurant food was good. Lots of amenities in the resort. The condo had 2 bathrooms which was great, enough dishes for light cooking and enough seating for 3 of us. My only downside to this particular condo was the mattresses were incredibly hard and very uncomfortable. We slept terribly the entire trip.
