Cozy Crescent Cottage

Magical moments in nature await your arrival at this charming burrow on Crescent Lake!

Tucked in a pretty little cove on the lake, the cottage is complete with gas grill, fire pit, hammock and lots of lounge chairs, kayaks, canoe and rafts for summer fun. We have life jackets and a dock so you can bring your boat!

It's not just a lakefront property: waterfalls, rivers, and an OHRV trail are very literally just steps from the door.

In the warm weather, birds, crackling camp fires and fun in the lake are backdropped with the sounds of the home's own babbling brook.

Great Ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and skiing in winter. Boating, watersports and of course swimming in friendly, clean, sandy bottom Crescent Lake, hiking and mountain biking in warm weather. Fabulous hunting and fishing as the seasons permit.

A wood stove to compliment the heating system adds to ambiance and warmth in the cold months.

Comfy beds, blankets and moments to relax, read and play games surround you inside. Fiber internet makes streaming media a breeze. Two smart TVs let you spread out on rainy days or late nights.
A cooks cottage kitchen waits for your best recipes, and we provide all pantry basics as well as coffees, teas and fixings for morning.

To make your life a little easier, all linens, including beach towels in warm weather, are provided, as well as toiletries, sunscreen and bug spray, and even extra toothbrushes and razors just in case you forget. Simply bring your clothes, food and personal items!

Bring your boat, your fishing rod, and your favorite book or activity! Just don't bring your jetski, the lake association doesn't allow them.

Fall vist with family

This was our second stay at the cozy cottage amd was just as enjoyable as the first time . Glenn and Melanie are very responsive and like to makesure their guests are comfortable and happy . We loved waking up on the lake and enjoyed the back deck and firepit. We look forward to renting here again in the future. P

Peaceful adventure getaway

This was just a pit stop during our New Hampshire adventure but we wished we could have stayed for our whole trip. The home had everything we needed for our family of 5 plus fur baby. We brought in our own groceries so didn’t have to leave the property. The owners were easily accessible and offered many suggestions though if we needed to. The weather was beautiful. We hiked, canoed and fished all day! A highlight was exploring the lake at night and watching the bats feast over the lake at dusk! Can’t wait to come back for some more zen!

Cozy Crescent Cottage offered a peaceful retreat!

Cozy Crescent Cottage was fantastic! Melanie and Glenn were excellent hosts and great to communicate with, always responding super fast! The cottage is adorable with everything you could possibly need. The cottage was very clean, and the people we met up there were super nice. My sister and I truly enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

Relaxing and fun trip with our family and dog!

The pictures didn’t do this place justice, we were pleasantly surprised the house was bigger than we thought and so adorable. There were boats to use and everything we needed including lots of comfy places for a nap! The lake was warm and so clear. We had such a wonderful vacation, would highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful long weekend stay at the cottage on Crescent Lake! The place has all of the amenities that you need for a relaxing and fun filled time on the lake. We will definitely be back for another stay next year!

It was a nice little cottage with a great view. The property was clean and well appointed as described. The hosts clearly take pride in their property and are responsive and kind. If you are looking for a locale where you can quickly get to a town/shopping/dining, this is not the ideal place, but we enjoyed staying here and explored. Would definitely go back.

Leaning Cottage of Crescent Lake

Cute cottage on Crescent Lake. It has a slight lean towards the lake which made us smile as we looked around the place. Two otters fishing in the lake tossing their catch onto the ice and feasting as we sipped our morning coffee. The place has everything you need for your stay and the owners were very responsive to our questions. Don’t expect cell coverage but there’s WiFi so no problem. We would definitely visit again in the future.

Great weekend trip!

This cottage is adorable, well-stocked, clean, and in a gorgeous setting. The hosts were communicative and also laid back and supportive. This was the perfect spot for a friend get-together and would also be great for families. We stayed in the fall and the foliage was beautiful. The surrounding nature trails were lovely.

Wonderful Weekend Stay at the Lakeside Cottage!

We had an amazing time at Melanie's lakeside cottage! The attention to detail and the list of available amenities is unmatched. The cottage was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was fully stocked of cooking supplies. There are tons of water sport equipment available and recommendations for local hiking trails. The ability to have both indoor and outdoor fires is truly wonderful, especially with the variable weather in October. We will definitely be back next fall!

What a wonderful place to stay! It’s an absolutely gorgeous property right on the lake with amazing views. Our kids canoed, fished and hiked. It was so incredibly peaceful that none of us wanted to leave. Melanie and Glenn were excellent hosts!

Wonderful stay at a beautiful little cottage!

My husband and I (and our dog) had a great experience at this adorable lake house. The house and property are exactly as listed and the host was very quick to respond to messages and texts when we had questions. Even on the one rainy day of our trip the view of the lake was beautiful and we had fun playing games inside while looking out at the water. We definitely plan to return in the future!

Relax and recharge at Crescent Lake, NH

This delightful spot on Crescent Lake, NH, is located just about 15 miles from Mt. Sunapee. The cottage was as described in the listing. Our hosts Melanie and Glenn thought of every little detail-providing every day items such as coffee, tea, Kleenex, toiletries as well as having a kayak, floats, and fishing poles to use on the lake. There was a canoe available as well but we were not adventurous enough to use. My family did take advantage of the kayak and floats and my nephew really enjoyed being able to fish and explore the lake. We used the fire pit every chance we could. The first night was definitely a memory maker as three generations made s'mores together, laughed and enjoyed the beauty of the lake. Melanie and Glenn provided a binder of areas to visit and where to grocery shop to pick up sundries. The main reason I booked during this time period was to take advantage of the NH Arts and Craft Festival at Mt. Sunapee in nearby Newbury. Next time I will try to book a dinner cruise on Lake Sunapee. The lake is quiet and not crowded with motor boats and jet skis. A nearby waterfall and hiking trails were explored. We also visited the Crescent Lake Tee Shirt shop. Lake residents were very welcoming. I am hoping to book another adventure filled weekend with friends to enjoy the fall scenery.

Wonderful getaway

My wife and I and our two dogs stayed at the cottage for a week and had a wonderful time. Our hosts Melanie and Glenn thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and easygoing. The house itself if comfy and quiet, with a fantastic view of the lake, which is literally steps away. We used the canoe, the grill, the firepit, the games the place is stocked with, the flashlights for walking the dogs after dark (it gets really dark!), and the suggestions for hiking that she left in the information folder. The Crescent Lake community is wonderful; we met many of the locals who were very friendly, and we visited the free book exchange just a short walk down the road. There's even a little t-shirt shack! The cottage is on a cove at one end of the lake so it's very quiet with no motor boat traffic at all. There wasn't much boat traffic anywhere really which I appreciated because I like to do open water swims and the lake was great for that. All in all we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again.

Cozy, comfortable stay

This lake house is an ideal relaxing getaway. My family stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, beautiful deck, and lake amenities. We had our meals on the deck by sunset, went swimming, floating, canoeing, and built a fire each night as well. Don't miss the adorable local t-shirt shop, and the nearby walking trails, which are lovely, and be sure to hit up Balthazar's Ice Shack for ice cream.

This is a cozy and clean cottage on the waters edge. The owners are friendly and easy to contact as well as helpful. The property is very clean and well organized with plenty of sleeping and seating areas. Not to mention well supplied from the kitchen to the recreation areas. There is plenty of wild life to observe as well as beautiful scenery. We thoroughly enjoied ourselves and will be booking again in the future.

Perfect Getaway

Melanie and Glenn have thought of everything with their cozy cottage. Our stay was wonderful. Melanie was in contact with us and checked in during the storms to make sure we were okay. There was plenty to do in the house when it was raining, we were never bored. The house is on a perfect spot on the lake for our boys to fish, swim, kayak, and use our pedal boat. They had a blast. We cannot wait to go back again!

Snowed in😆

My Mother,my brother and myself with our dachshund stayed in this lovely Cottage to visit nearby relatives for a few days . We arrived Monday to a sweet welcoming note from Melanie. The place is very clean and comfortable. On Teusday we were snowed in literally. The power went out in the AM but we started the wood stove and were very comfortable. In the middle of the blizzard Glenn came to check on us from 11/2 hours away. He snowblowed a place for our truck and brought us some battery operated lights and firestarters to get us thru until we regained power. By Wednesday morning we had between 24 and 30inches of snow and no power still .We went our way to visit relatives and Melanie kept in contact with us to make sure we were still OK and to let us know when the power returned later in the day. Even with the storm of a lifetime, we enjoyed our little stay at Melanie and Glenn's cottage. They have made it into a cozy place to achieve peace and comfort.We definitely would stay again. Thank you Melanie and Glenn for a comfortable place to relax.

NH Ski Getaway

We stayed at this beautiful cottage located on a lake for a ski vacation and we loved it. The style of the cottage is adorable and cozy. When we weren't skiing we loved hanging out by the wood burning stove, working on the puzzle, or watching movies as a family in the back room. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We are an active family from Southern NH. For nearly 10 years we have owned and operated a popular community cafe, and so we are no strangers to the service industry. We love to travel, so when the pandemic demanded some changes for us in 2020, we sunk our trust into some carefully selected properties (we currently have three! look at us go!) and began listing them as short term vacation rentals when we aren't enjoying them ourselves. Come visit when we can't!

Why they chose this property

This settled little cottage is nestled in a nature lovers dream land. Its only an hour from MHT airport, but it feels like its 40 or 50 years back in time . The lake frontage can't be beat, there's well over 100 feet of shoreline, mixed with gentle walk-in sand bottom, (great for littles!) And a dock! The quiet community of owners at Crescent Lake is small and kind, and this lake house life is great for families or for those who want to disconnect from the hustle bustle and slow down for mental health's sake. Basically it's ok if you've lost your marbles, because the floors are too crooked to play them here anyhow! It's just what the Dr ordered!!

What makes this property unique

Theres a brook to one side of the property, and some easy sunny rocking chairs on the front porch to listen to the babble and the birds. Inside, the calming benefits of an old fashioned NH cottage (let the front screen door slam!) meet modern amenities like smart tvs, chargers, and fast wifi. We LOVE it here and hope you will too.
