Dan was an excellent host. Loved his old charming house which was easy access to beaches, restaurants and stores. Beds were super comfy and bath towels were luxurious (would love to know where he purchased these). Loved the front covered porch. Would definitely stay here again.Denise
We were here for various reasons, some fun and some business. The location could not have been better, the owner was very responsive to our needs. This is a value priced accommodation, do not expect luxury. There is room for growth from the owner, but all and all, we are very pleased
Dan was great. The space was great for 3 adults. Beds were comfortable. Parking was good. Neighborhood was quiet. We ate most meals in - the kitchen served our needs.

St Pete Yacht Club
It was old and beat up, had bugs and felt dirty. Only on bathroom was an issue for 5 people
We had a good trip. The house was clean and had comfortable beds. Was a little concern with neighborhood and street noise during the night.

This was no vacation rental
My husband and I were displaced from hurricane Helene and needed a long term rental. We booked for 4 weeks. We stayed 2 weeks because we did not feel safe (details were provided to host with just a request for me to call and leave a police report). We asked for a partial refund from Dan and asked for help from VRBO but did not receive any. Very disappointed that there was no empathy for out situation. If you are considering this rental, beware of bedbugs and would advise to contact host through VRBO instead of directly because we did not get much of a response when direct messaged.
Much more space than hotel and has the basic necessities of home
Older home, easy to find and check in. We always had street parking available in front of the house. Residential area with Sunrunner bus stop on the corner. We easily used it to go to the beach one morning. House has 3 bedrooms, one of which is partitioned off the living room. Kitchen had basics to prep a few meals at home. Big front porch has patio table and chairs, no other outdoor space.
The house was clean with all the amenities we needed. It was a great location close to bus lines, which were very convenient, restaurants and stores close by. And the best part is we were able to bring our dog, Skye. She's a big dog which makes it difficult to get lodging when traveling. So thank you again for making our first visit to St Petersburg a very memorable one. We'll be back!
Our 5 week stay was perfect. The location was quiet but conveniently located to beach areas (including our favorites: St. Pete, Treasure Island, Fort De Soto), and many restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed downtown artisian area, Yankees spring training, Tampa Bay Downs and numerous festivals and markets (especially Gulfport).
Dan was quickly available if needed and responded by phone, text or in person. He was helpful and friendly.
Great location for our small dog and his plan to add a fence will make it perfect for all.
The property was well maintained and comfortable. Little extras to get us started i.e. coffee, snacks, water, paper products were a nice touch. We highly recommend this property.
We stayed at this property for 11 days 12/26 – 01/06/24. It was clean and well equipped. Having stayed in several small cute older homes in St. Pete, it was nice to find one with some space. Pictures do not do it justice, rooms are large and this bungalow has been remodeled. When we arrived needed AC, then strange FL cold spell required heat for several days. Both worked well. New appliances in kitchen were great. Master bedroom had an extremely comfortable mattress and even with a king sized bed, we had plenty of space. Location is great as a home base for the area. 15 minutes or less from everything – downtown, beaches, or north to Clearwater. We will be keeping this on our list of properties to try and repeat visit.
This is my first VRBO experience, and it went very well. We mistakenly booked the wrong dates, and the manager, Dan, was accommodating in making the change.
There was some minor confusion about our arrival date that was easily corrected. Because of this error the cleaning crew was scheduled for the next day. We think the VRBO was fine. Dan stopped by shortly after we arrived to check on us and apologized for the cleaning crew. He came in and tidied up a few things that weren't really necessary and we appreciated the service.
An upgrade that was not in the listing is the queen bed in the the third bedroom. It was advertised as an available air mattress, but it is a full queen bed.
We attand the St. Petersburg Gran Prix every year and we hope to get this location again next year.
The property manager, Dan, is a local glass artist and much of the glassware in the VRBO is handmade in his studio. It is also available for purchase.
Thanks, Dan.
We came in town for a family vacation/wedding. Communication with VRBO and owner was sketchy at best. I believe it was due to using Apple sign in instead of my email. All communication was delayed or not answered. The AC was set at 78 on our arrival, but it took two days to get down to 74. This made it very difficult to sleep. I reached out to owner and VRBO and the responses were not quick. We arrived on Friday and Sunday evening the AC finally was able to cool down. The couch had fleas, and if you sat on it long enough they would jump on you. It was very disturbing. I was embarrassed to have my kids and their girl/boy friends with us. This was the first time I used VRBO and it will be my last. We had a few correspond with the AC, but they had no follow up to see if the issues were fixed. Very disappointed.
