Bed sheets & towels & facecloths are drenched in artificially scented detergent & dryer sheets.
Contacted host to say I am allergic to scented detergents & dryer sheets. She assured me she would let the cleaning people know. But she did not, or they did not change detergents & used scented dryer sheets. The sheets & towels & facecloths were so heavily scented, I had a bad allergic reaction. Also bothered the other members of family. I let her know & she was not very nice about it. Also, the new carpet in the home theatre room has not off gassed yet and it is awful to smell & toxic to breathe that.
Had a great time in this cabin. Very unique layout, but worked great, the people there could hangout when they wanted and had space to themselves when they needed. Overall, highly recommend.
The mountain house was especially great for teenagers. They loved the arcade, ping pong table, and theater room! The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were spacious for our family of four (and space for more)! The house was well stocked and met all of our needs.
The fall colors were on full display at the high elevation of this property. The gated community made us feel safe, and the easy check-in was convenient.
Shanna, the owner, kept us informed and made us feel welcome! Thanks, Shanna!! We plan to return sometime next year!!
We had 5 couples. We trailered the motorcycles there and rode them once we got there. We were able to leave the trailers just past the cabin in a safe area. The house was fine we had one small problem with the back door locking. I called the owner and left a message. She was very quick to call back and she talked me threw how to lock the door. Great trip!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Peaceful place with a beautiful view. Only wish we'd have more time! There were some things that we noticed that could have used some more cleaning, but that wasn't the owner's fault. You'll also want to keep in mind that if you have more people staying with you, you can't access the bottom floor from inside the house. She had that in her listing, we just missed it. She was very detailed in her listing and super accommodating and quick to respond. The only thing that would make the house better in my opinion is some updating to the downstairs area, but it was a perfect extra spot for our family. The kids (and adults) enjoyed using the ping pong table too. :) The beds were very comfortable as well. The owner was wonderful and we would definitely stay anywhere she owned again.
This is not a luxury rental but was good for two families traveling together for a ski weekend. Comfortable beds and it was nice for the kids to have their own space downstairs. Kitchen was missing some basic tools which we had to buy (can opener, whisk, wine key, wine glasses…). Overall a good rental for the price!
