cute place, dark entry, inquire about the heat

The place was cute with dishware in the kitchen and a toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle. (no coffee or tea though so if you come late be prepped) 2 things affected my score. We showed up around 9:30 after flying across the country and renting a car, and the place was really cold when we got there. I get it that they're trying to save energy, but maybe request that they warm the place up if you're coming in late and getting ready for bed. The only heating element was in the living room and the bedrooms did not warm up that evening. There was an issue with the heater the following day as well. I know San Francisco is temperate, but when its 45-50 in the evening its pretty cold for taking showers and sleeping. Maybe you like camping, its not so much for us. It was also concerning that there were dead light bulbs or no electricy to the outside lights and parking area. Get your cell phone ready. The area is safe, but its hard to tell if you arrive late at night. All in all it was a nice place, but maybe look into these things with the landlord before you go.

Ground Floor apartment

The apartment was clean but on the ground floor, packed into a gritty neighborhood in Berkeley. There were overflowing garbage cans out front. The unit has a dedicated parking spot, but was too narrow for standard SUV’s. Being on the ground floor was hard because the residents above were active at night (between 11:00 PM- 2:00 AM ) rolling a chair around, vacuuming, and a pet was running around. The unit was nicely decorated and cute, but dark. We left the unit as clean as we found it- we stripped beds and gathered towels into the bathroom. Our son opted not to stay there with us.

Pleasant Stay

Communication was excellent. Location was great! Our coffee maker wasn't working so management ordered a new one and had it delivered same day. Wow!
