Pictures don’t do its justice. The estate is beyond gorgeous and stays true to “land of enchantment”. The place is spacious, clean and full of characters. We couldn’t ask for anything more. Kitchen was full of supplies and host is very communicative. Highly recommend to everyone and I hope to return again.
The property was serene and perfectly located to travel to Taos, Santa Fe, Chimayo, Los Alamos, Ojo Caliente and many other quaint locations. We wanted for nothing. The Ranchito was well equipped with everything imaginable from kitchen equipment and spices and fresh eggs to luxury linens and robes. The MANY outdoor areas are stunning. Views from every angle! We loved it!
Wonderful getaway for our weekend of calm and relaxation. The unqiue property is quiet and the views are stunning. The hiking trails are easily accessible and endless. All of the beds are extremely comfortable with lovely linens. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would possibly want. Great set up for groups -there are a few private spaces for the perfect mix of separate space and time together. We will be returning.
My wife and our adult children wanted a chance to catch up, hike, and cycle. Misty's place is everything it's billed as. Amazing views of the mountains, great gathering spaces (indoors and outdoors) and plenty of bedrooms for out purposes (including a separate cabin). So many nice touches--absolutely everything you'd ever need in the kitchen (including lots of spices), basics in the fridge (and even a few beers!). Only about 25 minutes to Santa Fe, we were nicely positioned to outdoor activities or going into Santa Fe for the museums and restaurants. A brief review can't do Misty's place justice. Thanks for the great list of recommended restaurants, bakeries, and bars!
This property is expertly curated and impeccably decorated. All of our needs were anticipated and the host went above and beyond to make sure that anything one could want, was already available. The attention to detail was simply breathtaking. The property is gorgeous and the photos simply don't do it justice. It must be experienced in person to be believed!
We've visited a lot of vacation properties and Misty's Ranchito in Espanola is exceptional in every way. Misty was helpful throughout the experience and her decorating is one of a kind. We loved every minute of our stay. A plus that we hadn't anticipated is the great walking/hiking available on the BLM land behind the Ranchito. Our daughter loved climbing on the rock formations.

Why they chose this property
Hand-crafted adobe house with a soul-healing Georgia O'Keeffe flair. It is a chef’s dream, with every possible gadget, spice, tool one might need to craft an extravagant feast, including a brand new Nespresso coffee machine, milk frother, soda maker, Vitamix blender and Kitchen Aid mixer. Each vibrantly decorated area exudes warmth & comfort, with high end furniture throughout the inside and outside. There are dozens of luxe plop down spots situated around the house and property - perfect for paging through piles of books and magazines. Lazy days, fireplace crackles, long dog walks, traipses into nearby Santa Fe, proximity to Opera House/Chimayo/Taos/Ojo Caliente/Los Alamos/Rio Grande, a half dozen national forests, a few rejuvenating spas (Four Seasons and Wo’P’in) and several popular casinos are just down the road. There is a charming cabin from 1860 on the property that acts as a another private guesthouse for your group. Outdoor solar lighting keeps the grounds well lit at night and adds a sweet fairytale vibe to the warm evenings that is unrivaled. Sonos speakers are in every room and discreetly placed around the property, so your own playlist of music follows you wherever you roam. There is parking for multiple vehicles, with several covered spots available. As in most rural communities, this property has delicious drinkable well water - which is always mind blowing when you’re from the big city…throw in a calming live edge flagstone verandah that is perfect for yoga around the firepit or late night stargazing with a hot toddy and you’ve got yourself a spot on earth that’s hard to leave.
What makes this property unique
Gorgeous rolling hills in La Puebla. This very private 6 acre property backs up against 12,000 acres of BLM land with endless trails for dogs and horses (and has a private, cash access entrance to all of the trails)! 22 minutes from Santa Fe. The road to the Ranchito is a short, well maintained dirt road that dead ends, so there is plenty of privacy. The few surrounding neighbors are private and very quiet. Close to Los Alamos, Espanola, Pojo, Chimayo, Taos, the Rio Grande, Opera House, Buffalo Thunder, etc…Amazon delivers right to the doorstep so you really never have to leave:). Or just load up at the Santa Fe Farmers Market and cook away in the well stocked kitchen…
