2BR dog-friendly lake house w/pool & hot tub. Sleeps 8 & 15 minutes from beach!

Comfortable, updated home on a fishing lake (we have poles and a private dock!) with a screened-in pool and hot tub. Just a short drive to beaches on the gulf coast. Enjoy your coffee on the patio at sunrise and break out the blender for margaritas at sunset at our Margaritaville bar. It's a truly lovely spot to relax and enjoy our beautiful Florida weather.

*Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and both bedrooms have sliding glass doors to the pool/patio area.
*One bedroom features a king bed; the other bedroom features a king bed and a triple bunk bed (all twin-sized); and one of the living room areas features a queen pull-out sofa bed.
*Full kitchen w/most cooking supplies provided; dining room table w/bench-style seating and kitchen island w/stools.
*Two living room areas, both connected to the kitchen and each with a TV (there's a TV outside as well... you can watch the game from the pool or hot tub).
*Large patio table w/chairs for outdoor dining.
*Pool is unheated, but comfortable most of the year... and the hot tub helps when it isn't! : )
*Desk and desk chair for those who still need to work on vacation!
*We are a pup-friendly property - small dogs only, up to two ($30 per dog per night, but we are happy to cap fees for guests who are staying 4+ nights). We have a dog door in the screened-in patio area that leads to a fenced-in backyard with grass for pups to roam.

Great Vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is beautiful, well maintained and WELL stocked. The views are breath-taking from the back patio. It was easy to find, check-in was a breeze (even got early check-in) and everything was as expected. My younger son really enjoyed the pool and popcorn machine while my older son really enjoyed the piano. Highlights to our stay included feeding the turtles off the back dock, watching the resident alligator cruise down the lake and of course, the popcorn machine :) We had a minor hiccup with the air conditioning but Laurie and her son Matt were quick to respond and remedy the situation. We couldn't have asked for a better host! Thanks Laurie! Hopefully we'll be back next year!

Beautiful Setting

The pictures don’t do it justice. The views from the pool area were amazing. We even got to see the alligator one evening. The place is REALLY nice, a bit dark but that was fine as it kept the house cool. The location was very convenient to top tourist spots. Laurie was quick to answer questions and the cookies and card were a very nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

Family reunion

My son, wife and myself came to meet the newest member of our family. The home was a perfect place to relax, share with family and just enjoy a few days in FL. The host was excellent at responding and the house was filled with any necessities you might need. Will definitely try to rebook on any return trips.

Enjoyable Time in Sun

Property was very nice; being on the lake was beautiful. Bring your birdwatching book! House was clean and was stocked with every thing you could possibly need. We understood the pool wasn't heated and were just a bit disappointed that the sun wasn't enough to get the water to a temperature that made it enjoyable.

a great place to stay!

This is the second time we have stayed here, and we love it! They have made some updates since last year and they were all little things but made a difference in bettering our stay :) It is beautiful and quiet - just what I want when I am on vacation. They have lots of items you would need for cooking at home :) The Hosts are FAST to respond to any questions of concerns you may have. Overall a great stay!

Recent stay

The owners could not be nicer or more accomodating! Great communication. The lake and dock were nice and we even caught some nice size bass. This house is in an older neighborhood, that could use some TLC but close to groceries and restaurants. It is about a 30 minute drive to Honeymoon Island/Caladessi Island(which I strongly recommend, especially the latter—gorgeous beaches! There is mini golf nearby too which was very nice and clean. Some opportunities for improvement: The lighting in the house is a little different and took some time to figure out. Switches are labeled but still confusing. We were not able to run water in 2 places at the same time without water pressure being greatly affected. Having some lamps or a ceiling light in the front room would be very beneficial, as there is only 1 small one We did have an issue with the hot tub and internet shorting out, but the owner came over very quickly to address and fix the issue and even offered a small discount for the problem, which was nice.

Beautiful Florida Stay

The host is very generous. There was everything we needed for our long stay. The lanai is fabulous. Very private and looks right over the lake. The hot tub was a plus as it was a bit cool when we first arrived to take a dip in the pool. Enjoyed feeding the turtles. They do love eating out of your hands! The host left some nice suggestions of places to visit and eat. Tarpoon Springs is a fun shopping experience and we visited Howard Beach often. Catches is a great place to eat and so is Whiskey Joes (more casual). We really enjoyed our stay, it felt like home.

4.5 would be the most accurate

The property and host are really wonderful! Fun extra touches are amazing! I would take off .5 for the neighborhood. Its not like we felt unsafe during our stay, however, I wouldn’t walk my dog at night in the neighborhood. It seems like a few houses are foreclosed or abandoned. Nothing ever happened and like I said I felt completely safe. The house is heavily lit. It had a wonderful environment on the inside and was a great experience overall.

Great Weekend!

The property was beautiful. Very clean. When arrived there was fresh cookies which was a lovely gesture. The host responded to any questions very quickly. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay again!

Wonderful place to stay

This property is well taken care of and everything is just as described. There was even a few extra things we did not expect that was a nice touch from welcome brownies to extra drinking water, snacks and the amount of every day items that you don't think you will need but do. We will definitely stay again

Wonderful vacation property

I highly recommend this property for a family who may be looking for a low hassle, high engagement get away. Our three sons never had a complaint of wanting to go out to do something. They loved feeding the turtles, fishing, the private pool, and the tvs in each space. We would stay here again and again.

Wonderful stay while visiting family

The house was very comfortable and spacious. The layout allowed us to entertain the whole family while cooking and enjoying the pool. We loved how prepared the host was for our stay covering all commonly missed items like trash bags, and soap dispensers. The house smelled clean and looked very presentable with labels to help navigate the many switches and cabinets. Our children loved the popcorn maker on movie night and the outdoor seating arrangements allowed for many meals in between swimming and enjoying the hot tub. Overall it was a great stay for us and we would definitely return in the future and recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Relaxing

Awesome place to stay! Exceeded our expectations for sure. Great host. Great home, makes you feel right at home, everything you need. Lots of room. Beautiful pool/spa area that is so relaxing! House is on a cute little lake with the most precious turtles 😍 they come right up to you and you can feed them, they will take the food right out of your hand. We had such a great time and with everything nearby to do, we would definitely love to come back!

Hiking, biking, beach and pool!

Had a great visit - enjoyed the house with family poolside and kids enjoyed the popcorn machine and feeding the turtles in the pond. Our dog loved the idea of a doggie door and lounging on the patio. Super convenient to beach and bike rides near by state parks. Host was very responsive and helpful.

Fun & Relaxing

We enjoyed our visit with lots of great memories. If you are looking for a fun and relaxing time I would recommend this cozy home. We had 10 people and had plenty of space. Our host was absolutely amazing! She was polite and quick with responding to our questions. The home was equipped with everything we needed for a great family vacation. We spent most of our time hanging out by the pool and hot tub that overlooks the water. Don't forget bread because there is a floating dock and the turtles live eating right from your hands. Definitely a MUST book!

An absolutely amazing place.

This home was absolutely incredible. The pictures dont really do it justice. Its tucked away enough so that its quiet but close to alot of things to do and places to eat nearby. The owner was very nice and extremely helpful. I'm really looking forward to going back in the future.

Perfectly set up for Family Fund

Phenomenal house!

We absolutely loved our stay. This house offers so many amenities, we didn’t even go to the beach because we just loved relaxing in the backyard so much. One note I would give future renters: Be sure to ask if the pool cleaners will be coming during your stay and what to expect. I saw it noted that pool maintenance was possible, but I thought I would be notified about my specific stay if they were coming. I also thought it would be a short process if it happened. The pool guy showed up on our last day when we were expecting to relax in the pool all day, and if he put chemicals in we wouldn’t have been able to. But both the pool guy and the owners were so accommodating. The pool guy called the owner and adjusted his cleaning so it would only take 20 minutes or so. He was so helpful, he deserves a raise! :) This didn’t detract from our stay at all, just a little communication detail that can ensure no one has issues in the future! We had such a great time and would love to come back. Thank you for having such a welcoming home!

Beautiful Property!

House was clean and they had everything that we needed for our stay and then some! Coming from a plus size person the beds were very comfortable. Outdoor space was true paradise! My kids LOVED This house - inside and out! The pool is not heated but it was not needed! It was perfect temperature after a long hot day. Communication from the host was GREAT! We had a small issue (not important and could have waited) but they showed up within the hour to fix it. VERY IMPRESSED! The location was also perfect for our family! It was nice that if we wanted to do something it was only a short drive away otherwise it was just like being at home! Highly recommend and we will be going back!

Wonderful outdoor space

House was very clean. Outdoor space was excellent. Great view of the lake, lots of wildlife. Fishing from the dock and feeding turtles was an added bonus. Kids loved the pool! Short drive to Homosassa, Tarpon Springs, and Clearwater. Overall it was a great week!
