Just what we needed!

We only stayed in this location one day just to keep us from having to travel so long between owensboro and lynnville Indiana for my daughter’s wedding. It was absolutely perfect and everyone greatly enjoyed their stay. Highly recommend and will consider renting again in the future!

Just what we needed

We went there for a convention and needed a place where the kids could have some outside time in the evening. Perfect for that. Plus we have never stayed in a place that had such a well stocked kitchen. All the rooms were clean and comfortable and I loved the farmhouse feel. If I changed one thing I would have liked a door or maybe a curtain on the master bathroom. I hope we get to come back next year!

Serene modern Farmhouse

The two story Farmhouse was quiet and met all the needs of our family of 6--2 adults and 4 youngsters. The main floor bedroom/bathroom suite was large and comfortable. The two upstairs bedrooms were perfect for the 4 kiddos. There was an extra 'porta-bed' which accommodated 3 girls in one room; the boy got his own room. The upstairs bathroom is huge and nicely decorated. There is a commode and sink bathroom on the main floor that was convenient. The laundry room with full sized washer and dryer was greatly appreciated. The grill was used with no issues. All the appliances worked with no issues. There were toys, books, and games for the kiddos. There were no issues with the TV or wifi. This is the second time we have utilized this property for our family. The hostess/host are friendly and answered our questions via e-mail. There is an elementary school very close to this property and we utilized the playground in the evenings. We hope to utilize this property again for our family next year. Thank you.

Amazing!

This farmhouse was the perfect getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The house was spotless, well equipped with all the necessities. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever imagine. Outside is well kept with a cozy firepit area and a deck with outdoor seating and a gas grill. Every bedroom and bathroom is equipped with "extras"...pillows, blankets, hair dryers, heated towel rack, tv, curling irons. You name, it's there. Cheryl and Josh went above and beyond for us to be sure that our stay was special. When we arrived, there were fresh cut flowers, fresh fruit in a fruit bowl, all the charcuterie possibilities, roasted chicken, stuffed mushrooms, and fresh cut veggies along with a bottle of wine. We never had to leave the day we arrived. Josh outdid himself! We are already planning our next trip back this fall. Thank you, Cheryl & Josh, for making this stay so memorable for us!

Lovely Farmhouse

LOVED this property, a quaint farmhouse with the amazing view. I am a country boy and i would move this house directly onto my 12 acres right now! Has all the charm of an older home with so many new upgrades! Lovely rooms and lovely kitchen. Walking into the home you are immediately pulled into another time, back when things were simple and you could feel the love. I will definitely be staying here everytime i go to work in this area!

Couldn’t have found a more perfect place for me and my 2 Maltese to relax and observe the eclipse. The master suite is on the first floor which was super! Nice quiet place but I wasn’t afraid to be alone because it wasn’t super secluded. Updates to this home are well chosen and lovely. Charming farmhouse

This little nugget, situated right outside of Newburgh was the perfect, quiet location for our weekend! The quaint house provided for all of our needs and was very clean. All areas were well-appointed including the kitchen as well as offering bath and bedding extras. Our downtime included engaging in the puzzles and board games provided for some family time. A wedding in the family brought us to Country Comfort and it rounded out our wonderfully perfect weekend!

Farmhouse Christmas!

We truly had a WOW experience staying at this beautiful farmhouse for Christmas! The hosts have done an incredbile job of furnishing the home to create a cozy and fun experience, including a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds/linens. They went above and beyond to provide a Christmas atmosphere with Ponsettias and other decorations, including Christmas dishes. My mother is in a nursing home with hospice and it was great to return to the farmhouse during visits to entertain the family and enjoy quality time together. Family thanksgiving

We hosted family and the house was perfect. Easy to find. Lots of space. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms were huge and so nice. Next time we want to be sure to use the fire pit and grill. Originally we were to have our granddaughters with us and the school playground across the road would have thrilled them. Lots to play on. We appreciated the flexibility when we needed to arrive a day early.

Farmhouse Birthday

We stayed here for 1 night and had my daughters 17th birthday sleep over with 10 of her friends. The house was perfect! We have plenty of room in the kitchen/living room to all be together and the fire pit was so much fun as well. The hosts are very flexible and will accommodate most any need. Also, the beds are very comfortable!!! I will definitely stay here again! : )

Labor Day Relaxation Get-Together

My husband and I got together with a couple of my college friends for a relaxing weekend of playing board games, dining locally, and going to the area movie theater. The house was very comfortable and cozy and very cost-effective. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return and may make staying here an annual event.

Wonderful

My 3 sisters and I get together for the weekend once a year to catch up. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful house. Nice kitchen. Ample outdoor space. Friendly helpful hosts. The only problem we had was finding the place. Google the adress given and it shows the house farther down the road and in the woods. The house is actually right on the corner of Hill and Yankeetown roads which was confusing in the dark when we arrived. Over all we had a wonderful stay.

Renovations were surpassing our expectations.!

This remarkable farmhouse, on the outskirts of Newburgh, was not only as beautiful as the photos displayed but there was even more to see! The newly added driveway and sidewalk was an added dimension to the outstanding renovations of the house. Use of the garage was a great surprise! It is obvious that more things will come outside. Entry to the house was easy and secure. The newly updated interior is amazing! I still loved some of the original things that you will notice throughout. The 'at home' feeling when you arrive is indescribable and so comfortable. There were so many more bonuses that you would never expect and filled all your needs. My husband and I were there visiting my hometown of Evansville to see family and friends. I am glad to have known my way around the secondary roads so I could find shortcuts to get to and from town so I could avoid the traffic of the highways! The weather was not conducive to being outside much but I was so impressed with the amenities there also, especially the mosquito deterrent plants around the back deck! The bedrooms and bathroom were very spacious and beautiful!! High quality everything! The beds were extremely comfortable. This house is so impressive you will be in awe! We highly recommend this amazing home away from home! Thank you Cheryl and Joshua for allowing us to stay there!

About the host

My husband and I grew up in Iowa. We moved to Southern California in the early 80s were we lived until 4 years ago when we retired. We are new working in Arizona doing similar jobs that we retired from. The need for special education/any teacher in AZ is great, so here I am teaching again. My husband went from golf course superintendent to golf course construction management, to golf course employee mowing and spraying. We love traveling and have stayed in many VRBOs. I am putting into this rental all that I loved and learned from other property owners.

Why they chose this property

This house is the original farm house that housed the landowners before parcels were sold off. They were of German descent and so structured the house to there history and german homes. Although the fire place wall is no longer in use, it adds to the character. The living room was an add-on by my daughter and her family.
Previous owners sold off 5 acre with the house sitting on the remaining 5 acres of black walnut and cherry trees. Spring is full of colorful flowers and new follage. Fall is a glorious painting of reds, yellow, oranges and greens.

What makes this property unique

Getting good sleep away from home for all who stay with us is my goal. Comfort on a bed and between the sheets. This space is perfect single couples or for the whole family and/or friends to stay together and enjoy a meal or two together.
For couples - you have all you need on the main floor. Master bed/bath, kitchen with island and bar stools, living room, and dining room.
