Lovely spot, close to everything

I stayed at Brian’s place in the Mission for nine weeks and it was perfect. There are lots of great restaurants and shops on Valencia. Easy and safe to talk to and from the train that’s just a few blocks away. The property itself is fairly spacious, well equipped, and very clean. Brian was very prompt in his responses to any inquiry I had. At one point there was an issue with the dryer and he had someone out to fix it the very next day. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Great Location

Rented this apartment in The Mission due to neighborhood proximity to family and first granddaughter. The Mission is full of excellent restaurants within easy walking, plus we enjoyed wandering and window shopping in Valencia St. With a little pre-planning of routes, the bus pick-up on 19th and Mission took us all over the city.

Perfect first visit to SF

Great location, a short walk to BART which takes you downtown quickly and convenient MUNI routes that can take you to other parts of the city. Tons of restaurants and shopping in the Mission district, very young and diverse area from high end restaurants to hole in the wall burrito places(La Oaxaquena was our favorite). The apartment was clean, quiet, and exactly as shown in the pictures. The shared back patio was great, it felt like we were the only people using it during our stay! Brian was very helpful and responsive from before the trip until after we returned home. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, convenient place to stay in SF!

We had just a wonderfull time. Comming from France after a 2 weeks roadtrip in the wild West (Monument Valley, Bryce, Zion, Yosemite...) that was just nice feelling like coming back home in SF. There were a few broken items or minor problems when we arrived but the owner knew about it and we felt like it was normal for a place where many different people come. We never had chance to enjoy the patio (too much things to visit and not such a nice weather). The sounds coming from the street (garbage trucks on Monday morning) weren't such a probleme, we were too happy to be here to bother. If we ever have a other chance to spend a few days in SF we will certainly try to stay here again.

Great clean place.

Lots of room, the apartment was great, nice updated appliances. Just make sure you understand the parking situation in SF, there's not much parking around without spending money.

Good value in a very convenient location

Perfect location for participating in a conference in the downtown and yet coming "home" to relax in the evening. The unit was comfortable and contained everything I needed, and the owner was attentive and very responsible to work with. I took his recommendation for Poncho's for dinner. What are great value.

Mission apartment

The apartment is clean and functional with a fully equipped kitchen and is as described. It is close to a good selection of restaurants and bars that should suit all tastes and pockets. The booking/reservation process was quick and simple. The apartment is located close to the Mission Street Bart which takes you downtown very quickly. I would definitely stay there again.

staying in the Mission

Visiting our first grandchild made us want to stay in the same neighborhood as he was in. The apartment was spacious enough for the 2 of us. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs....basically breakfast. There were convenient places to shop for what we needed. The biggest problem we had was that the bedroom was in the front on the street. All the street noises on Friday and Saturday night were very audible. And on Monday the garbage trucks started at 5AM. We did enjoy the backyard one afternoon. And be warned that the bathroom is on the opposite end of the apt. from the bedroom. However the shower was very good.

Excellent location, good price, and easy rental!

The entire process of renting this apartment was easy and conformed accurately to description and pictures. The location is spectacular if you want to be close to both the Mission District and Valencia Street. San Carlos Street is quiet. I found the apartment to be clean and, for a rental property, pretty well-maintained. I would definitely recommend this rental to family and friends. The "Herbivore" Restaurant, on nearby Valencia Street, is wonderful, as is "Dog-Eared Books" for book lovers.

I had a wonderful time during my 3 week stay in SF at this property. I loved being right in the middle of the bustling Mission area. I was able to enjoy several of Brian's suggestions for dining and found a few places on my own. The soft serve ice cream and hot chocolate at Bi-Rite Creamery were two of my favorite things. I also loved the bookstore, Borderlands, on Valencia which provides books for Sci-fi/Fantasy fans. They have the best selection of new and used books of that genre I have ever seen. During this trip, I was able to travel on the BART for the first time. I used it to go to the theatre section, Union square and the Embarcadero. I also used it to cross the bay to visit a friend in El Cerito. Walking around and just enjoying the different areas of SF has always been one of my favorite activities. The murals and shopping in the Mission are outstanding. I also walked over to Noe Valley for some great shopping and to the Castro for some great meals. I liked Chow restaurant very much. I also used the MUNI to visit the Ocean Beach area. I like to eat at the Cliff house even though it is overpriced. The day I went was one of the best and I got some great pictures of the Sutro baths and the surrounding area. And last but not least, I slept so well while I was there. I have a Tempur-pedic at home but I think I slept better on the bed in this unit than I ever have slept on mine. Brian was very helpful. The property was clean and neat. I would recommend this unit to anyone going to San Francisco and I will use it again the next time I visit.

Wonderful Stay in San Francisco

Brian was a really great host! He gave me a list with all the great restaurant and things to do and was really helpful. He also arranged me while I had to arrived earlier the first day. The apartment was cute, with a lot of space and clean. It is in the mission, which is a wonderful lively neighborhood. It is near Dolores Park where I had a lot of pic-niques in sunny days. There is a lot of nice restaurants and great little place where you can find good organic food. It is also close to all attractions. I had a wonderful stay in San Francisco!

Great little spot in a fantastic location!

My fiance and I stayed here in Jan 2011 for a long weekend in San Francisco and loved it! You can't beat the location, which is in the middle of the Mission District surrounded by great cafes, bars, restaurants and shops, and just a 5-10 minute walk from the 16th & Mission BART stop. The place was clean and on a quieter street, and the perfect size for two people. We also found the process of working with the owner (Brian) to be very easy. He was always responsive, friendly and helpful. Next time we're in San Francisco, we'll be sure to look this place up again!

Nice apartment in a great location in the heart of the Mission

I stayed for a week in this cute spacious apartment with my boyfriend. It's located in a nice small quiet side street close to BART, buses, shops, restaurants, cafes, galleries and parks. It is just a few blocks from Tartine, Bi-Rite and Dolores Park. I really loved the convenient location & the quiet at night let me sleep well, even though we were just a short walk from all the action. You can walk everywhere from this location. A car would not be recommended because parking is quite hard in the Mission. The apartment is bright, has nice high ceilings, a yard and nice cozy feeling overall. The kitchen is large, modern and equipped with the utensils and items one would need for a short stay. The living room is cozy with a comfortable couch and love seat and a nice TV/DVD player. The shared yard is cute and has a table/chairs and BBQ for hanging out on nice days. The owner, Brian, was very helpful, communicative and easy to get along with. Thanks for a very nice stay, you were very friendly and helpful!
