This vacation house was absolutely amazing! The pictures don’t do it justice! The views, the home and all the amenities were fantastic!! We will be back! Thank you Andrey for getting back to us right away!
This cabin is a very beautiful property right on the waterfront and the view of nature, the mountains and the Susquehanna River are exceptional. There are a few things that still can be improved with the cabin to make it perfect which is to make it where you can kayak right off of the property or dock. Most people cannot lift their own kayak out of the water onto the boat dock from this property because there is no real ramp to roll a kayak into the water and this property has a drop that is quite a few many feet making the current setup too troublesome & unsafe. It’s fine for fishing but NOT to put a kayak directly into the water which we were really looking forward to doing. Also there should be written instructions on how to use the pellet stove and the elevator because the door on the second floor did not open for the elevator and that would’ve made it very convenient to bring groceries, luggage & supplies in and out of the home for those who are 60+ yrs in age. Besides these two concerns, the cabin is really lovely, very peaceful, and absolutely stunning.
The cabin offers stunning views of the river, making it a perfect retreat for nature lovers. The interior is cozy and well-appointed, with a comfortable living area, and charming rustic decor. The cabin is also well-maintained and clean.
Location-wise, it is only 30 mins from Knoebels and on the Susquehanna River. Overall, it is a wonderful getaway spot, ideal for unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty. of the surroundings.
We had a wonderful stay here. We were in town for a swim meet at Bucknell University and thoroughly enjoyed fishing and relaxing by the river in our downtime. One small note is that the listing says that it is 15 mins from Bucknell University and it is no less than 25 minutes from there. It will not stop us from coming back but worth noting if you are making frequent trips that way like we did. An amazing property - we can't wait to stay here again next year when we're in town for the meet!
The River House is a beautiful property. It is a gorgeous log home with the Susquehanna River as the backyard. The home was very clean and comfortable. The entire property is calm and relaxing. My husband was able to fish right on the river bank which was one of the main reasons for this trip. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We would definitely return for a stay in the fall. Thank you!
The home was absolutely beautiful and extremely impressive. I would definitely consider going back another time. The host was communicative, the house was clean and had everything we needed. I loved my stay! Would definitely come back.
This was exactly what we needed. The huge windows and stunning view allowed us to feel apart of outside even as we were warm indoors. The movement of the river was soothing, the interior of log cabin again brought outdoors indoors. Wish we could have stayed longer. Grateful for the opportunity to stay.
My family and I truly enjoyed our stay here! The views were absolutely gorgeous! The cabin so super clean and cozy. The decor was incredibly unique. Also the elevator came in handy! Overall it was a very pleasant experience and the host was very friendly and responsive. Would most definitely come back here!
The renatl sight was down, the code came from the office after i emailed (Thank god) No sponge for the dishes, and the dishwasher was full (for me to empty?) and the Pillows are like hospital pillows,(not good) , lastly the top floor beds are too high, Im 5'9 and it was a tough climb.
Other then that, loved it!
we will be back. The view is to die for! thank you
Overall it was a great space with all the amenities listed. Plenty of room. The buffalo / racoons hanging from the walls were a bit weird, but were also fully disclosed so not a surprise. If it is rainy, the backyard gets muddy and not convenient to get to the firepit. There were plenty of spare towels in the primary bathroom. The TV was very far from most of the living room seating. That may not matter for every one, but if you are trying to watch a movie together it is a little far. The town nearby has food, groceries, etc. very easily accessible.
All of this said, it was a fantastic place and stay.
We rented this beautiful home to host a 90th birthday gathering for my dad. Thank you to the host for allowing this! It was absolutely perfect! The open space, large kitchen and lots of counter space was so nice. The elevator was also a great thing to have! It made our move in/out so much easier. Loved the big windows looking out to the river and the snow made it magical! All rooms were big and comfortable. Plenty of storage in all closets and a huge pantry to accommodate all your food items. We couldn’t have found a more perfect place to enjoy our family time!!! We will definitely stay here again!
I've stayed in many rental properties before, and this one is definitely one of my favorites. The location is perfect! The property is beautiful. The house had everything we needed. Communication with the owner is easy.

Hi! My name is Andrey and I am an operations manager at a local tree service company. We love traveling and experiencing new places all over the country. I decided to rent out my riverfront cabin on the Susquehanna River to give other people the opportunity to experience the river and local area!
Why they chose this property
This property is unique in the fact that it is rustic but very luxurious. The views of the river in the morning are unmatched! Also, river access to boat/jet ski/ kayak etc. This location has it all! Nearby eateries, breweries, and wineries as well.
