Dirtiest house around
My family and I were extremely excited about this home. Location is amazing. The kids sled along side the home for hours at a time. However, Big Bear Vacations did a horrible job with cleaning this home. It was not cleaned at all. Beds were thrown together, house wasn't swept, dog poop all over the second floor deck and in front of the property. Furniture was not put back to original spot and everything was unplugged. Used eyelashes next to nightstand. Dog food all around the corners of the house. We found medication on the ground, not ours! Dirty and used klenix under the kids beds. Blankets and sheets not cleaned at all and just thrown in the closets. Bathroom showers and tubs were not cleaned either. It was the most disgusting experience ever. Our cleaning Fee was given back to us but it did not at all make up for the fact that we slept I a dirty home for 5 days!

The property was great. We wanted a relaxing weekend and this delivered. It had all the snoozing stations you could ask for.

No complaints.
Lots of covers, fireplaces and heaters kept us all warm. Everything needed to cook except for ingredients. Hot tub didn’t get as hot as wanted but was still warm enough to use. Need snow chains to park in driveway because it’s steep, our 4x4 explorer with different terrain features slid halfway into the street.

Charming Cabin that Needs TLC
We came up to Big Bear with a group of 10 people to celebrate my Birthday for the weekend (all couples). Overall, the layout of the cabin was cozy and great for a group of friends. Unfortunately, almost all of the appliances in the cabin need replacing. We spent $500 on groceries as we planned to cook a lot of meals throughout our stay, but after the first night we realized the refrigerator was broken, which really put a damper on the trip because the big kitchen was part of the reason we chose to stay here. I called the rental office, and they provided us with a large ice chest and cooler so we made it work the best we could. We were also looking forward to watching the UFC fight and the NFL playoffs, but the TV downstairs needs replacing as it has screen damage and the upstairs TV could use a good update as well. We still made it work though and had a good time. My group also snowboards, so when we went to go use the outdoor hot tub the second day after the slopes, we realized that also didn't work. The jets were broken and the water was murky. Everyone was disappointed because this was another reason why we were looking forward to staying here. I tried to do a load of laundry and the washer wouldn't drain properly and the dryer took over 2 hours to dry a few towels. The dishwasher was extremely old and rickety and didn't open and close properly which made it difficult to load and unload. Lastly, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable and desperately needed replacing. With all of that said, those are super easy fixes. I expressed these things to the rental office and they seemed like they were going to look into it. They did not offer me a discount, but they did give my group an extra night stay at no additional charge, so we appreciated it. My group still had a good time. I would just recommend that if you want to rent this cabin, just clarify that what I mentioned above has been fixed, and I am sure you will have a PERFECT experience in this cute and fun cabin.

Very disappointing home
We were so excited for our little getaway with our friends, we saw a great review on this home and booked it. So many things that are wrong with this home it's not even funny, I feel like we have wasted our hard earned money and I would like to warn others for that reason. First thing there was no heat when we got to the house, it did drop to 20 degrees at night, so pretty cold. Another thing, we noticed there was no trash can in the kitchen, also no paper towels or kitchen towels, so we used a hand towel from the bathroom. Everything is so disorganized, only 4 ceramic bowls to use, every wine glass is from a different mother as well as the pots and pans which were just thrown in to almost every single bottom cabinet. No coffee, not even a little bit for the first morning. No hair dryer! The beds were super uncomfortable, we woke up in pain! The guest room had a nasty comforter which wasn't washed in who knows how long, it had hair and body fluids all over it, so nasty!! TV upstairs did not work at all, someone was suppose to come and fix it but apparently they couldn't get in when we were not in the house even though they had permission from us to enter. Floors were super dirty too, this house needs a real deep clean! Just to top it all off, we went in the hot tub and I got poked by a broken glass, it was a pretty big piece, about 2 inches. The deck pieces are not nailed in right by the steps to the hot tub so when my husband stepped on it he almost fell through, I actually fell down when I got out of the hot tub because I forgot about that piece. Deck wasn't swept either. So so disappointing, we will never come back to this cabin that's for sure!

Great Family Spot
We stayed here with our three small children (4, 3, 6m) and in-laws for a long weekend during President's Day 2017 weekend. The house was great and exactly as pictured on the website (now). When I booked it, there were not pictures of every room on the site, so I was a little nervous, but pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The house was modern and clean and had the amenities of a house, yet gave us the cabin feel. It snowed a lot while we were in Big Bear and the front and back yards provided great sledding terrain. All the bedrooms are on the main floor, upstairs. The master bedroom had a large walk in closet that we were able to put a pack/n/play in for our baby. The basement was great for entertaining, although since our kids are little, we didn't get as much use out of the pool table and bar area downstairs as we'd hoped. There were some miscellaneous board games and sleds at the property, although we brought our own since we didn't know they would be there. The property was pricier than we had hoped and compared to other similar properties in the area, but overall we had a great stay and hope to go back. Thank you for sharing your home!
