We loved staying at this rural home. We spent our morning sitting in the quiet watching cows graze. It’s a beautiful place, but if you want to be near stores and restaurants this is not your place. We stayed here while visiting the zoo and the pottery. It was a bit of a drive but not too bad. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The wi-fi was fast. The only improvement needed were the mattresses in two of the bedrooms need to be replaced. I also had trouble with getting the key from the lock. It was very tricky. The property manager is very responsive. I would recommend staying here especially if they switch out the mattresses.
A very well maintained property!
Very comfortable & really enjoyed relaxing there in between touring Seagrove pottery & Ashboro restaurants & shopping.
Home is remote which made for the perfect unplug weekend! Simple furnishings and open layout was great with our kids. The outside accommodations were picture perfect . We enjoyed everything about our stay.
The location was wonderful quiet and peaceful. House was nicely done. Would highly recommend to other people. Thank you for your help and wonderful accomodations.
The house was perfect for my family! We enjoyed roasting marshmallows. Close to the zoo. The only thing that I could say that needs to be done is before guest arrive the ac be set to a good temp. It was 86 degrees when we arrived but it cooled down to 70 throughout our first day/night there. Will stay again if we travel this way.
This was a trip to the zoo and we needed a place to stay. We stayed here and it was about 20 minutes to the zoo. It was off the beaten path, and yet somehow close to everything. Cell service is spotty in all of this area, so get your GPS going before you start. The home was clean, had everything you needed, and the internet was super fast. The owner was incredibly responsive and made sure that everything was in order and responded with any questions very quickly. We would definitely stay here again.
This property worked perfectly for our needs. The views of the countryside are awesome! The sheep and lambs were grazing peacefully and I even walked out in the pasture with them.
The property manager was easy to contact and attentive. He assured me that the questions I raised would be dressed. Some basic supplies were lacking but we filled in the gaps.
There was plenty of parking,
They did a great job of turning a double wide into a cute little place. Nothing fancy and had only the basic necessities. Master bath could be updated and the place could have a full length mirror. The firepit was under a canopy which caused a very smoky fire. Outlets in bathrooms did not work. The paver stones leading up to the deck are a safety hazard. Beds could use some side tables. If you plan on having a fire bring a lighter.
If you are looking for a cute quiet and peaceful place to stay, choose this place!
We truly enjoyed sitting around the firepit making s'mores watching the cows graze on the field next to us. Not too close as a small stream separates the properties.
This house is 20 minutes give or take from everything including the zoo which is why it was chosen.
Water was super hot and we were all able to use it to shower after being next to the fire.
Appliances, stove, DW and microwave are fantastic. Kind of jealous of the DW. Just know the house is on a well and septic set up so if you don't know what that means, please search it.
The ac kicked to the point we had to use blankets, which we liked a lot.
Kids(teenagers) said the beds were comfy and so was the master. The towels were soft.
The owner is quick to respond as I had to ask where to put trash when inside was full. When I responsive, think texting your best friend juicy gossip quick.
It's a great place to stay to get away in the country setting so I'd say grab your toothbrush and stay a few days. I know we'd stay again.

Great location, cute house needs a little minor upgrade
The location of the house was fantastic. The house was very roomy and perfect size for the 5 of us, 4 adults one toddler. However, as soon as you turn on the water you get a huge smell of iron or sulfur. I do understand about being on a well but they also make filters for that exact thing. Hot water was very minimal only one adult could take a shower then we had to wait about 45 minutes for more hot water. The water pressure was great in the master bathroom though, made for a great shower other then the smell. The bed was uncomfortable for my liking. One mattress and box springs was being held on the bed with string that was visible. That particular bed made a horrible noise anytime you moved. Another bed when you set on the bottom of the bed the head of the mattress would fold up, almost like a taco per say. The other bed was okay. But it is hard to have just one bed with 4 adults. I did understand upon reading the reviews prior to go that renovations was taken place. I just didn’t realize that some of the basics for sleep and showering would be the last thing fixed. Overall or experience was just okay. The house “got the job done” for what we needed, a place to stay while visiting the zoo. Also, waking up to the fog over the farm was just breathtaking.
