Do not hesitate to book this rental. It is a beautiful property both inside and out. We found it to be more spacious than depicted in the photos. It was clean and well stocked with the necessary supplies. The location worked very well for us as we were looking to visit both Rochester and Canandaigua.
Very clean, comfortable, spacious & plenty of parking for additional family members and friends.
Used this property for 2 years now with plans to return for a third. Easy access to several communities. Plenty of golf courses 😊
Jeff has always been cordial, accommodating & quick to respond to any questions .
Highly recommended.

This home felt like a home away from home! We had things plan for every day to be out but we decided that we would cancel one outing and just spend it watching movies together. The home is so cozy you won't want to leave!! Thank you so much for a really nice vacation home!
The house was a step back in history mixed with modern amenities. We had a wonderful stay here. Beautiful house. Beautiful yard. And walking distance to the canal, which just expanded our activities. I highly recommend this home, and the host was great!
My family stayed here for my son’s wedding at a venue about 8 miles away . It’s always special when we can all stay under one roof. Plenty of room to spread out, beautiful spaces indoors and out for pictures of the groomsmen before the wedding. Grandsons ages 3&8 really enjoyed the large backyard. Loved the huge island in the kitchen, was where we gathered the most. Fire for s’mores one night out back was perfect. Definitely recommend this home if you are spending in the area!
We loved our stay in this historic home. The front part of the house is original (but with modern amenities like ac) and the back part of the home is a modern kitchen, laundry room, family room and garage. We all felt so lucky to be staying in such a special home. It’s beautiful and very comfortable with everything you’d need for your stay. We loved the location with so many historic sites and outdoor adventure areas nearby. There are plenty of stores and restaurants for amenities and food. We loved our stay and highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area. The yard is beautiful and every night at dusk the fireflies came out. It was magical.
This was a wonderful place to stay for our family of eight (grandparents, parents and children. Beautifully kept and preserved. We enjoyed the great room, with the kitchen and family area. The bedrooms were just right. King bed comfy. Macedon was cold and rainy when we got there. I text Jeff and he immediately turned on the heat. He was great to work with. Always responded in a timely way. This was perfect for the things we wanted to do and see centered around the LDS church sites. Our grandkids enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit and watching the fireflies. Overall, a great experience and I recommend this property without reservation!
Really neat historical home with a beautiful yard and convenient park next door, which the kids loved! Kitchen and additional living space is modern and nice. Well stocked kitchen with a BBQ grill outside. The only issue we had is my elderly parents were traveling with us so my husband and I had to sleep upstairs in a queen bed. The AC worked excellent on the main level, but not well upstairs so it was too warm, and the bed was uncomfortable. The kids twin beds were a bit uncomfortable also. Overall, it worked well for our family.
We had an amazing time with this beautiful property! A very open layout! Very clean it was all perfect for the family. Enough rooms with a big family room with games. There was something for everyone in my family to do. Will 100% be booking again!
This historic home was very tastefully remodeled with all the modern conveniences. The blend of the old with the new is seamless, and gives you the feeling that it is all original. The yard is gorgeous with many birds around, and the back porch is the perfect spot to sip your coffee before starting the day. The grandkids were not able to join us this trip, but the upstairs playroom looked like it offered many fun activities for all ages. I loved the original hardware on many doors, and the original floors. The hosts book was full of information about the history of the home, and we might even be distantly related by marriage to the original owner!
We spent 4 days here for a family event and it was as charming as it is pictured. There was plenty of room inside for my family plus extra room and yard for kids to run around and play outside. The house was immaculate and our host was very communicative with the questions that arose during our stay.
The best Vrbo we have leased! By far… my family & I have been leasing VRBO’s for the last 3-years in the finger lakes area. This was the best.
Lots of room… large kitchen area plenty of bed space, 3- bathrooms. Outdoor patio & grill. Lots of privacy with the large yard, plenty of parking for guest. Jeff is an excellent host! Responds quickly.
Everyone had a great time and everyone was very comfortable
We hosted a baby shower with guests from all over the country. Everyone commented on what a beautiful property this is. We will definitely consider staying here in the future when traveling to visit family. Absolutely wonderful!
Lovely stay at Historic Farmhouse near Palmyra, NY
We loved our stay at this delightful stone farmhouse. The inside was spacious with a new kitchen addition. Rooms were roomy and comfortable with an old fashioned feel since it was built in 1839. We love history and this place was amazing with a beautiful park next store, wonderful walking trails along the Erie Canal and grassy lawns as far as the eye could see. Coming from the Desert of the Salt Lake Valley, it was wonderful just to drive around upper state New York with all the small towns and historic sites that Palmyra has to offer. It was a wonderful stay and one we will always remember. I have already recommended it to all my family and friends who want to visit this part of the country.
This was, by far, one of my favorite rental homes I've ever stayed in. It is gorgeous and the historical beauty of the home is breathtaking. The home is well kept and very clean. There was plenty of space, inside and out, for my family as well as some extended family who came over for dinner and yard games. The property manager responded quickly and was helpful when needed. This was a wonderful stay and I would happily recommend it to others.
Our family had a wonderful visit with relatives and this house made it more so. Plenty of space with the kitchen really a great room for gathering.
The bedrooms n the older part of the house are on the quirky side as expected in an 1839 house. The other side of the house is newer and perfect for activities in the upstairs “play” room.
Highly recommended.
Large, historic house equipped with modern conveniences and a tremendous, well-cared-for property makes for a fun, comfortable family get-together. Great location for outdoors activities with easy access to eastern area of Rochester, NY.
