Wonderful relaxing and lovely hosts

We spend a really wonderful time in Les Clos des Olives. It is a lovely house with everything in you need to feel comfortable. Our dog could be free in the wonderful garden and he found a lovely friend in Athena - Jasmines little dog. The area is very quiet and it is amazing to walk along the Gardon. Our hosts were very nice and discreet - we felt very much like being home. A lot of interesting sights are very close. We will come back.

Wonderful stay in Provence

Le Clos des Olives was a heavenly place to stay and was perfectly situated for sightseeing in Providence by car. We would come home in the evening to relax by the pool, have hors d’oeuvres and a drink, and then make dinner in the perfectly equipped kitchen. The apartment was very large and comfortable with a huge living room, bedroom, and a bathroom with washing machine. To be living in the country was a delight; instead of hearing the sirens of Paris, we listened to the cicadas and an occasional farm vehicle. Jasmine and Patrice are the most warm and gracious hosts, offering insights into our travels and helping us navigate the area. The only drawback was that we could only stay 4 nights; we would have liked to stay longer, but their place was booked. Now that we are home, we miss our stay at Clos des Olives very much and our pleasant time in Provence! We highly recommend this beautiful place! All our best to Jasmine and Patrice.

A wonderfully quiet cottage, with a perfect location between Provence and Languedoc. The house is very tastefully decorated, has a wonderful pool, which is surrounded by a beautiful garden area. Jasmine and Patrice are very nice hosts who have supported us many good tips for exploring the surrounding area.

Paradise

As soon as I spoke to Jasmine on the phone I knew we'd enjoy our holidays at Le Clos Olives. She kindly answered all my questions, assuring me that our dog wouldn't be a problem. Jasmine and Patrice were both there to welcome us. The accommodation was comfortable and catered for our every need. Jasmine gave us good advice on places to visit and we went to lovely places that we wouldn't otherwise have heard of. The whole family were patient with Sky, our dog, who barked every time someone came by. If you're looking for sun, peace and quiet, then you couldn't do better than head for Le Clos Olives. You'll get a warm welcome, comfortable home, pool and walks along the Gardon for the dog.

Helpful hosts & excellent location for a great "southern France" experience

We found the owners Jasmine and Patrice to be very kind and helpful to foreigners like us, and very easy to communicate with in English. The property is quintessential “southern France,” with an outdoor pool that couldn’t be more perfect for the summertime. And the location couldn’t be better, either, for those looking to discover the southern Rhône region: Avignon, Nîmes and Arles are all within 30 minutes, and Marseille, the Camargue and the Luberon are all within an hour’s drive. You might find yourself walking in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh in the morning, touring the medieval ramparts of Avignon in the afternoon, and sipping a Châteauneuf du Pape poolside that very evening. Parfait!

We had a most enjoyable week at this quiet and secure location. Our hosts were most welcoming and helpful with their advice on local attractions. A good central location for day trips to nearby towns but a car is essential. The accommodation was comfortable and clean with good kitchen facilities and a washing machine. Would especially recommend a visit to the ornithilogical park in the Camargue to see the flamingoes, the Palais des Papes and Ville Neuve in Avignon, and the Pont du Gard. Plenty of resturants in nearby Beaucaire. No hesitation in recommending this gite to others.

Perfect place in Provence

We loved our week in Provence, and much of the delight we attribute to Jasmine's suggestions of places to visit and things to see. The gite (a cottage) is conveniently located 20 minutes from Avignon, Nimes, Pont du Gard, St. Remy de Provence, and Les Baux, to name just a few. When I mentioned to Jasmine that I love markets, she nudged me in the direction of the best. The gite itself is spacious, modern, clean and lovely. A perfect place to relax after a long day of being a tourist...perfection. We will definitely recommend this place to our best friends travelling to France.

"PERFECT PROVENCE LOCATION"

This property had the "Central Location" that we were looking for. We visited Pont du Gard, Avignon, Nimes, Les Baux and Arles to name a few, they were all about 20 to 30 minutes away. Aix-en-Provence was just 1 hour away. After a day of sightseeing it was great to return to the peace, quiet and comfort of the gite. The property is in a rural setting among olive trees and vineyards and within walking distance of the small village of Comps. The property is gated and you get your own remote to enter. The grounds are beautiful with an inviting pool and patio. The interior is spacious and beautifully decorated, with a full kitchen, the washer and dryer were a huge plus. Our place was spotless and well taken care of. What made this place especially memorable were the owners Patrice and Jasmine (both speak english). Jasmine has a beautiful personality full of joie de vivre and she is also a wealth of information. We joined Jasmine and Patrice for a wonderjul dinner and good conversation and met one of their 2 sons, Jean-Vincent. One afternoon we joined Jasmine on a long walk along the river. This is why we travel, to experience other cultures and to make new friends. We look forward to returning to Provence and this lovely gite. Merci Jasmine et Patrice!

Beautiful cottage for a family holiday

We loved this place and will be sure to return!! This well located cottage is perfect for a family holiday. We stayed there with our two children, aged 6 and 8. The cottage and enclosed olive grove is charming and secure. The pool at the cottage would be a perfect place to spend a warm provencal afternoon. Everything is provided, the cottage is spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Little things like the coffee machine and laundry make a holiday so much more enjoyable with kids. There was pleny of room for the 4 of us. There is also a full kitchen for self catering. Although its quite private, the hosts are nearby and Jasmine and Patrice and their family are warm, friendly and very welcoming hosts. Our two tips: 1. Get up early and experience Pont Du Gard in the early morning before the crowds arrive. Its simply breathtaking to have the Pont Du Gard all to yourself. 2. Grab some wine from nearby Domaine Saint Charles and enjoy a few glasses on the patio in the early evening with a platter of local produce. We've stayed in many Gites through Europe, but this is amongst the best of them. We cant wait to get back there....

A place to remember and hopefully return

When we arrived we were immediately made to feel so welcome by Jasmine and Patrice. The gite is close to the house but by no means did this take away from your privacy. It is excellently presented and contains all that we needed to make our holiday wonderful in this most attractive part of France, however we were pleased to have the car for the shopping and be able to visit the surrounding sites of interest Jasmine and Patrice both spoke excellent English and encouraged us to practice our French without any embarassment. We were invited to aperitifs when Jasmine and Patrice entertained some of their English friends who live on a boat in Beaucaire. When we returned to the UK our friends were eager to lean of our holiday. We were happy to recommend the area, the experience and the hospitality without exceptions Merci Jasmine et Patrice pour les vacances formidable, nous esperons retourner encore. Perhaps next year I can write all of my comments in French, who knows

Fabulous stay and great place to explore Provence!

The cottage, yard and interior decoration are cozy and charming! The bathroom and bedroom are so clean, you feel like you are the first guest! Nestled in a small village in Provence, this cottage offers peace and relaxation. But, you also will find exciting activities in Avignon, Arles and Beaucaire: villages located nearby. I really enjoyed my stay. The owners are charming, helpful and extremely informative. They made me feel at home. Their hospitality and “joie de vivre” are also a plus! This place is like “a heaven on earth! “ Highly recommended.

Born and raised in the south of France, we know our region by heart. It will be a real pleasure to introduce you to this wonderful place, the so-called Provence... We used to travel a lot, thanks to my husband, a former officer in the French Navy, in New Caledonia for instance, or French Polynesia, United States...We are open minded, that's why it's always a pleasure to meet people from everywhere in the world. I teach English to children, and during my spare time, I play the piano, and I paint. We are looking forward to meet you, moreover, it's easy to get to from anywhere in Europe (Ryanair flies to Nimes airport, which is about 20 minutes away and the TGV from Paris stops in both Avignon and Nimes). Marseilles airport, with connections from all over the world, is about 1 hour away. See you soon. Jasmine & Patrice.

What makes this property unique

Obviously, the weather is one of many advantages of living here, in Provence. But, it is also a certain standard of living that you can hardly find somewhere else. The food, the people, the landscapes, the history, the culture, castles, monuments are elements which composed this spot which will, for sure, blow your mind !
