The cabin is remote and offers wonderful seasonal mountain views. It’s perfect for a getaway with friends, a romantic retreat, or spending quality time with family. You can stargaze from the hot tub or fire pit, relax on the rocking chairs on the deck, or nestle up inside by the fireplace.

This rustic escape is spacious enough for six to be comfortable, yet cozy enough to ensure your vacation is spent in close proximity with your favorite companions. As you walk in, you'll marvel at the vaulted ceilings and misty views of the Smoky Mountains. This fully equipped cabin offers a fireplace, central heat and AC, washer and dryer, propane grill, outdoor seating and fire pit, and a private hot tub on the back deck. Additionally, the Smart TVs allow you to log into your streaming services like Netflix and Hulu to enjoy your favorite movies and shows.

All of the bedroom mattresses are hybrid memory foam, and very comfortable. There is a queen bed in the private main floor bedroom and two queen beds in the second upstairs open loft bedroom. There is a full bathroom on each floor.

The kitchen is fully equipped. Just bring your choice of food, beverages, and seasonings! There is a traditional coffee pot with coffee filters and various coffee and teas provided for your enjoyment.

Fresh linens and towels are provided, as well as additional towels for the hot tub. We also include a starter pack which includes 4 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, 3 dishwasher tablets, 3 laundry pods, 1 dish soap, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.

After a day of exploring the nearby areas, slip into the bubbly hot tub and relax! Experience the sights and sounds of wildlife all around you as you gaze at the stars. Enjoy s'mores and hot dogs over the fire pit, or just relax with a favorite drink in the rocking chairs on the back porch. Select from an array of provided board games and puzzles to play with your family and friends or snuggle up with a book on the comfortable leather sectional couch!

Please note there is no cell service in this area, making this experience a true getaway. For those who need to stay connected to the real world, there is internet at the cabin. We also encourage guests to bring groceries with them, as the closest place to grab essentials is 20 minutes away.

Our secluded location is just up the mountain, on a gravel road, in a quaint community known as The Pines and is surrounded by large trees and heavily wooded land. With only one other cabin down our road, our home is private and quiet. This cabin is the perfect choice for your family and friends looking for a getaway to unwind and relax! It is centrally located, yet off the beaten path, with easy access to many local attractions and only 11 miles from Robbinsville where you’ll find grocery stores, restaurants, beer/wine, and shopping. We do encourage guests to bring groceries and essentials with them, as the closest place for food and essentials is a 20 minute drive. The Nantahala National Forest and Great Smoky Mountain National Park are our backyard and playground. We are located just minutes away from world class white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, sight-seeing, zip lining, local eateries, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing and more! This is truly your own private refuge in the Great Smoky Mountains.

This ideally situated cabin is every outdoor enthusiast’s dream. With a plethora of active adventures and well-known destinations at your fingertips, the opportunities seem endless! There are so many options, but our favorite might just be relaxing the day away, breathing in the fresh mountain air with no place to be, no voicemails to check and no emails to respond to.

★ ADDITIONAL DETAILS ★

• We are available to assist you with all details of your stay, big or small. Please don’t hesitate to send us a message or give us a call.

• DO NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. PLEASE throw all other products in the trash can. The plumbing is all septic. These systems cannot drain like city sewer and will easily clog if paper towels, baby wipes, feminine products, etc. get in there.

• If you plan to enjoy an outdoor fire, you will need to bring your own firewood or collect wood from around the property. If there is wood on the property you are welcome to use it, however, we can’t guarantee that the pile will always be stocked. Please purchase firewood locally!

• If you plan to utilize the indoor fireplace, we encourage guests to bring a manufactured fire log (such as Duraflame or Enviro-Log). Please only use manufactured logs in the fireplace and do not leave any fires unattended.

• There is camera surveillance on the exterior of the property, facing the parking area and back doors for security purposes. Please do not tamper with these cameras.

• Please note that there are narrow, steep and winding roads with gravel to access the property. A four-wheel, all-wheel, or front-wheel drive vehicle is recommended to get up and down the mountain and driveway. The driveway is steep and requires some speed to get out of. There is parking on site for two to three vehicles, as well as overflow parking at the bottom of the mountain for any motorcycles, trailers, etc that do not feel comfortable coming up the mountain. This overflow parking has signs marking it as “The Pines Parking.” The overflow parking is located 0.5 miles from the cabin. The Pines Road is not serviced with snow removal during the winter months.

• You are in the woods away from it all. You may see bears, snakes, boars, mice, deer, spiders, insects and other exciting critters. We treat the cabin for pests quarterly to encourage these critters to stay outdoors.

• Please note this cabin is in a heavily wooded and rural area and occasionally weather conditions can cause power outages that are out of our control. We will do everything we can to promptly fix these issues, however, we are not responsible for outages due to these natural occurrences.

• Graham County does not offer trash pick up. We welcome guests to utilize the dump site daily that is just up the street. This helps avoid critters getting into the trash overnight.

★ POLICIES ★

• Check-in begins at 3 pm. Check-out is by 11 am. Please note that arriving early or departing late will result in additional charges of $50 per hour unless previously arranged. We are happy to accommodate early check-ins and/or late check-outs for your convenience when our schedule allows for it at no extra charge.

• No smoking inside the cabin (outside only, at least 20 feet from windows and doors). Please pick up and properly dispose of any cigarette butts.

• Pets are welcome with a one time $25 pet fee. Please let us know prior to your stay if you’ll be bringing a pet so that the fee can be added to your booking. This fee helps us offset the fee for extra cleaning and goes straight to our wonderful cleaners. We ask that pets be limited to two per trip.

• No loud parties and only 6 guests, please.

• Must be at least 25 years old to book. A photo ID may be required upon booking.

• Additional fees and taxes may apply.

• Please treat our home as if it is your own. We understand that accidents happen. However, guests will be responsible for all costs associated with any excessive damage caused during their stay by them, their guests, and/or pets.

Thoughtful Host
Its rare to find a host that considers what you actually need to stay a few nights, and they nailed it! The kitchen was well stocked with spices/oils and utensils, there was extra toothbrushes and towels spread around, and the hottub was clean and hot when we showed up. Overall, a great experience.

Fontana Lake area getaway
The cabin was exactly as advertised and completely met our needs. We wanted a quality, modern rustic cabin to base our explorations of the area. We made daily use of the well-stocked kitchen and the indoor fireplace. Bedrooms were comfortable. All in all, a great rental that we would choose again.

Cozy, Clean, Relaxation!
My dad has been visiting the area since he was a kid and this cozy cabin was the perfect place to spend a long Easter weekend. The beds were so cozy, the kitchen made it easy to cook all our meals, the place was clean, the pups LOVED the deck and the sunrise views over the mountains while eating breakfast = amazing! The lights on the way to the fire pit are such a cute touch. Overall, we were very comfortable, communication was amazing and we will absolutely be back!

Wonderful Relaxing Stay
Great stay, really enjoyed our weekend after our stop in Helen, GA. Drove in at night in the rain, followed the directions given by host and had no issues. Lots of reflectors along the way and a cone at the end of the driveway to lead the way. Grocery was nearby. We made great use of the fire pit and hot tub! Had a minor issue getting the tv working and the host was very responsive through VRBO. Would definitely stay again!

hibernation due to work burnout
My husband's work has spilled over into our weekends and nights. He works all day Mon. thru Fri. and comes home and has to work more and he hasn't had a weekend free from work in months. I booked this place for 5 nights to make them give him a break that was much needed. We were very happy with the place. Mission was for him to get bored, and mission was finally accomplished the last day we were there. This was our first VRBO and it was perfect.

Mountain retreat
This was a great vacation stay. The only issues we encountered was the steep driveway, but once we got used to it, it wasn't bad. However, the cabin was very well stocked and the amenities were very well thought out. The size of the cabin and lighting was excellent. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Best cabin retreat
This cabin was very private and peaceful. It was well stocked, and clearly cared and planned for, in a way that most VRBOs are not. Everything we needed was available. The location was excellent for exploring the Smokies. Don't miss the Joyce Kilmer forest. We hope to come back!

Quiet getaway
This cabin is clean and well stocked. The canopy gives you a nice break from the heat. The fire pit is lovely! This listing was completely accurate. The directions to the driveway are a bit confusing but we figured it out. The speed bump is quite a ways up the road...we thought we were in the wrong place, but we made it!

Wonderful mountain getaway cabin in one of the most charming areas of North Carolina. The cabin is located in a very private little slice of green mountain forest. It’s the perfect size for a small or medium sized family, and is well maintained and stocked by the owners. The hot tub and upstairs lodging was a hit with the kids! Also boasts a cute yet private little pathway, quaintly illuminated by classy string lights, to a sitting area for an evening fire! I highly recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for an escape to a quiet yet beautiful space!

I searched for cabins near Fontana Dam. I had never utilized the Vrbo app. After I located this cabin and reviewed the pics I made my reservation request. Pics are often deceiving but not in this case. This place was perfect. I can’t think of a single thing that would’ve made our stay better. You guys hit the mark and exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend your cabin.

Great location
Booked the cabin for our AT hike to Fontana Dam. The location was perfect with a short 7 minute drive to the trailhead. Then just a 20 minute drive back up to the cabin after our hike and dinner at the Wildwood grill. Good communication from the owner. We enjoyed our weekend getaway to the mountains of North Carolina.

Mountain getaway
Before the trip we were advised there was no phone service, however with Verizon service we had service even inside the cabin. When we arrived you could tell the place was well taken care of. There wasn’t that normal cabin smell that most cabins have. We arrived the day after a storm and the electricity going out caused the Wi-Fi not to work. We called the host and they literally had it fixed the same day. We spent most of our time hiking & site seeing in the area and it is absolutely gorgeous. Yellow Creek Falls is just a short car ride away from the cabin but an absolute must see!! After spending the days in the trails, it was nice to come back for a dip in the hot tub. We spent a couple evenings at the fire pit that is on the property and it was very relaxing! Our favorite part of the cabin is just the over all layout of it. It is large enough to accommodate a large family, but still intimate enough for a couples weekend. We highly recommend going, and will be coming back often. You cannot find better host!
