This is a great property for a wide variety of guests. It was just the two of us staying for a long weekend (super cozy, and quiet) but it would be great with kids or multiple adult couples. Space to spread out if needed and a daylight basement if the kids need to get some energy out.
Incredible time, lovely layout with the most epic space for your morning coffee and great space for family game time. Can’t wait to stay again. Great/quick communication as well!
Nancy is an amazing host, amd the home was everything and more than i hoped for. It was perfect for 5 people, the amenities were exactly as listed and the paddleboarding and kayaking exceded all my expectations. My frownds and i will be booking again.
We had such a nice stay at Nancy's nest. The home is so pretty, it was warm and inviting. It was a delightful place to be in the summer & I'll bet it's fantastic for the winter time too. There were lots of games to play, a full kitchen and the views were heavenly.
My only suggestion is to bring a cushion for the seats around the table, if you're big game players.
We would highly recommend the place to friends & family.
We had a lovely stay at Nancy's nest. We cooked every night in the fully stocked kitchen, we lounged on the deck and hot tub, and enjoyed the canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Watching the the tides rise and fall throughout the day and spotting seal heads popping up all day long never got old. Lots of games to play, things were clean and easy to use. We would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful part of the world!
The cabin itself is very charming and cozy. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway with friends and has all the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. The location is great, with easy access to kayaking, fishing, and other water activities. We really enjoyed our stay and highly reccomend Nancy and her cabin
Our family stayed at the Enchanting Lindal Waterfront Cabin for a wedding reception (at another cabin on Harstine Island.) The cabin is gorgeous, and we enjoyed the stay very much.
The house is beautiful, has all the amenities you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the house, all the games, the kids art table, the water. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home.
We had the most relaxing 4 days at Nancy's Nest on Harstine Island this past July. Our group spanned 3 generation (2 grandparents, 3 in our 40s and 4 children ages 7-11) and everyone had the best time! The ping pong table provided hours of entertainment, there were tons of games and puzzles to use in the 2nd floor living area and there was enough space for everyone to spread out and relax. We loved going out to explore on the kayaks and paddle boards (so much wildlife!) and then soaking in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and we either cooked and/or grilled every night. Will tell all our friends and family about our stay. Recommend 110%.
We loved the house. It had 3 levels that worked well for us. Grandparents in the top floor bedroom, one family on the main floor, one family on the bottom floor. We loved the main floor living room. We all gathered there Saturday night just to catch up with everyone and have family time. Lots of games that the grandkids and adult kids enjoyed. We loved the water view and enjoyed time on the dock. Grandkids were busy playing ping pong and enjoying the craft room. We had a great stay.
We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home. There was lots of space for our family that included small children and older adults. The home could not have been more child friendly and we were able to stay entertained on both the gorgeous weather days and rainy days. Highly recommend!
Nancy’s place is a great waterfront property with peace and quiet. They also have kayaks and paddleboards for guests’ use and we loved having time on the water - and hang out with 4 seals that was popping up around us! Nancy is also a great and quick communicator, and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Nancy’s.
Nancy’s Nest is a treat. Beautiful home, great location with huge picture window views. Fireplace and outdoor fire table added to the warmth of the home. Fun artwork all over. I loved going on the dock and enjoying the otters, the herons and the peaceful surroundings. You will not be disappointed.
We loved the cabin. The location is perfect if you are ok being away from city amenities although there are several places within 30-60min if you feel the need to get out.
The place itself is beautiful. The views of the water and dock access are perfect. Nancy was a great host providing a generously stocked home with games, kitchen supplies, and water activities. We spent some serious time with the kayaks.
The layout of the cabin is great with plenty of room for the family to spread out. We have little kids and one 11yo and the basement provided a good balance for our family. We also ended up staying during a mini heatwave and the basement (and many fans) kept us cool during a rare mini heat wave.
Just a beautiful area to stay or explore by water. We saw several sea otters, deer, ducks, crabs and jellyfish (careful!). Just a gorgeous area and we feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to get to stay there.
Accommodations met our needs perfectly with 3 families including 3 young children. The 3 levels of the house worked really well for naps & sleeping. The weather was nice so walking to the Marina park worked great. Two comments under cleanliness: I had to wipe down the refrig before use and an unrealistic expectation on check out day to empty the dishwasher of clean dishes before we left. Getting the laundry going is no issue, but having to hang for a hour for the dish wash cycle to finish & then put dishes away….Sorry we weren’t able to do that!
Would recommend Lindal cabin and stay there again. Thank you!
Our stay was a weekend girls trip. I was a bit disappointed when I received the homes instruction sheet and it informed me "quiet time" was 10PM and the neighbors would call the owner if it wasn't adhered to. Since we planned on sitting in the hot tub and around the fire table at night to visit and drink - I was not happy this was not disclosed to me until AFTER I could cancel with a full refund. All rules should be posted prior to payment.
It ended up not being a problem as the fire table was out of propane and would not light - and we didn't discover this until after dark our first night and we had been drinking so didn't want to mess with propane.
The hot tub was green and filthy when we arrived. Thankfully we had tub owners in our group so knew how to "shock" it and made it usable. The intake at the bottom of the tub was clogged with needles and the there were TONS of needles and leaves in the water itself. The jets only worked on the house side of the tub. :-(
The basement shower backs up and you're standing in 6 inches of water by the end of the shower.
It was 95 the Saturday we were there. We found the thermostat but couldn't get it to change - it was set on 80 degrees. We had the patio and front doors open to catch the water breeze but were being tormented by the nasty yellow jackets!
All amenities should be checked prior to each rental to ensure they are in proper working order.
Excellent across the board-love this cozy get away
Couldn't say more positive things about this home! Stayed twice now with family and we absolutely love it. Location is fun, house set-up is great, and wonderful book that tells all about the house and surrounding areas. Two things that are less than ideal, the stove top/oven are painfully slow (not sure if there is a flow issue with the gas but should probably be checked out). Also, the cleaning fee feels rather steep, especially because we do a decent amount of what the cleaning work should be.
Perfect property for family getaway! We had three couples and one with an infant, this house was set up in a way that each couple was able to have their own private area to retreat to after socializing in the beautiful living room or outdoor areas. The kitchen was well stocked with any tools we needed and the large kitchen table made for great family time. There were so many things on this property that we didn't even utilize, a painting area. Kayaks. Paddle boards, etc. Such a great property! A few hours before we checked in the owner cashed to let us know check in would be a little bit late and encouraged us to enjoy the dock if we arrived before the cleaning crew was done. He offered us a late checkout for the inconvenience. This owner clearly cares for the property and guests, it was a wonderful experience!
