About this property

Spacious casita with desert & mountain views ⛰

Experience the real Arizona at this classic Tucson burnt adobe casita. Enjoy the stunning mountain views from the lush yard on a 4.5 acre lot. Enjoy a sunrise coffee on the porch swing and hear the Sonoran Desert come to life. The nights are quiet and filled with stars. Although shops and restaurants are only a seven-minute drive away, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. A 20 minute drive will get you to over 25 amazing hikes, historic downtown Tucson, the U of A, or Saguaro National Park.

Casita del Plata is a 1960 style burnt adobe guest house situated on over 4 acres. It has a private entrance, separately fenced yard and is detached from the main house. At nearly 800 square feet the casita gives you plenty of room to live and move. Inside you will find beamed vaulted ceilings and the solid brick adobe walls. The bedroom is large with a California King bed and plenty of room for luggage. The living room, dining and kitchen areas are open and full of light. The full bath has a sink, toilet, tub/shower combo and wonderful skylight for a natural glow. The yard is full fenced/walled and has amazing views of the Santa Catalina Mountains.

The Catalina Casita and the casita yard are all yours! Come and go as you please!

We live on the property in the main house. Our guests have their own entrance and fenced back yard. Let us know if you need anything or have questions, other than that we will leave you to enjoy your time!

We live in a cool 1960's neighborhood on a dirt road. All the lots are over 4 acres so there is privacy and room to roam. In the mornings and evenings you will see people walking, running and taking their dogs out for walks. The area is quiet and has lots of natural desert flora and fauna. An easy 1/4 mile walk will get you to a large grassy park with a play structure, walking path and basketball court.

We are close to everything but in our own little slice of heaven. There is about 1/4 mile of dirt road which includes our driveway. Once on the property there is a ton of room for parking and a shade structure you can use to park under if you like.

Private and peaceful

The casita was lovely, with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, there were huge windows that let in natural light, the kitchen had enough dishware and cookware, as well as a microwave, toaster, and a very nice Keurig. There were some spices and teas and other staples. We particularly enjoyed being in a very quiet area, away from the downtown bustle, yet not so far away as to be inconvenient. The main house was next door, and also rented out, but we were never disturbed by anyone. In the private backyard area, we could sit and read, watch the birds, see the sunrise in the morning, and the light of the sunset on the mountains in the evening. The large property has a walking trail right outside that leads to an overlook, where you can see the city lights at night. Also much appreciated was the rapid response from the management company when we had any question. They were very friendly and helpful. This was an excellent place to spend the week and we would absolutely stay here again if we return to the Tucson area. Thank you!
