Other things to note
Although many people enjoy traveling with pets, our home is not set up well for them. And we do not have a yard or nearby area for pets to eliminate. Most importantly, we like to keep our homes pet-free for those that are sensitive to pet dander. If you have a service animal, we suggest one of the many other Page accommodations that are well suited for your furry family members.
Please see our Guidebook for more information on what to see and where to eat.
Other than the amazing Lake Powell and iconic sites just minutes away (each ten to 30 minutes) you are just a few hours from Grand Canyon, Zions, Bryces, Monument Valley, and more.
We highly suggest booking your activities now. Area activities and equipment gets completely sold out May-October. We will send you specific info on pricing and avialability after you book.
Make sure you stop at the Powell museum/ welcome center to get help and information on the many activities.
The two most visited and spectacular sights nearby are Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. Both of these are only 15-20 minutes from your vacation home. In addition, Glen Canyon Dam has amazing views of the canyon, lake, and dam, free videos and is and only 10 minutes away. Here is information on all three—
Horseshoe Bend
This iconic attraction is free to the public, but there is a $10 charge for parking. Tours are available if desired but really not necessary. The parking lot is 10 minutes away from your Page vacation home. Once parked you must walk about half a mile on an easy but sandy and uphill trail to the overlook. This attraction gets very crowded and there may be lines to pass through the parking fee booth. Early hours offer spectacular viewing and fewer crowds.
Antelope Canyon
There is actually an upper and lower canyon and each of these has its own unique beauty (and fee). The canyons are only a 20-minute drive from Page. Because Antelope Canyon is on the Indian Reservation. You can drive to the attraction entrance, but you can not enter Antelope Canyon without a native Navajo guide. Therefore, it is not only recommended to book a tour but absolutely necessary. You don't have to book a tour guide in advance, though it is highly recommended. You may want to work with one of the many companies that conduct these tours and provide transportation to and from the site.
Glen Canyon Dam
Tours are free. The hours are from 8 am -5 pm. There are videos throughout the day that are informational and enjoyable. You can also take the elevator down to the lower dam level. It is free and highly recommended.
Lake Powell
If you like recreational water activity, Lake Powell is truly amazing. The water is warm from June through early October and there are many accessible and even private beaches for swimming. There is a National Park entrance fee that you pay as you enter the parking area. You can take a tour or you can rent a boat or wave runners for the day. Some tours are available year-round and even when the water is cold, the trip up and around the lake and its many canyons is well worth it.
Float the River
River tours start from Page and reservations are recommended.
From the Air
Scenic flights are available, and the small private airport.
