Welcome to our luxurious, spacious, modern cozy home nestled in a magical forest of tranquility up in the Blue Ridge mountains just 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, Black Mountain and very near the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Feel at home in this stunning environment where you can enjoy the incredible diversity of the forest, explore waterfalls, hike the Mountain to Sea trail, immerse yourself in the vibrancy of Asheville and relax in this welcoming, nourishing and rejuvenating space.

ARRIVING . .
Feel the magic of the forest as it welcomes you on your drive up the private mountain road. Step out of the car and breath in the peace and tranquility of the trees, feel the warm mountain sun on your back and relish the relief of arriving at your home for the next few days. It will feel like your own private retreat, with a salt water hottub, an infrared outdoor sauna, and our outdoor shower/bath.

When you step into the light filled space you are faced with a choice . . . lie back on the extra deep and luxurious Crate and Barrel sofa, prepare a cappuccino in the De Longhi coffee maker, sit out in the covered back deck or the south facing front deck and take in the acres of National Forest, fire up the BBQ, have a nap on the luxury Saatva king size organic mattress, prepare a gourmet meal in the well equipped modern kitchen, sit back and take in the beautiful and diverse art collection or fill the outdoor tub and be mesmerised by the magic of the forest.

EXPERIENCE THE STILLNESS
Wake up to the gentle soothing sounds of nature and the speckled light of the mountain sun as it dances through the forest.

The two main bedrooms both have a luxury king sized mattress and beautiful views of the forest. The master room has an ensuite bathroom and an organic sattva mattress. Both bedrooms are equipped for luxury fine linens.

Enjoy sunrises with a smoothie on the front deck and sunsets with a cocktail in the outdoor tub.

Let your children (and pets) run and roam free in the fenced forested yard. Feel free to water the flower and vegetable garden. Pick peas, squash, tomatoes and salad in summer and maybe pull a few onions in the Fall.

Play pickle-ball in the yard, relax in the super sized hammock, day dream on the tree swing or experience the night sounds and camp out on the upper forest deck.

Walk the private forest trails and experience the magic of the changing seasons. Experience the thrill of seeing a black bear foraging the forest floor or watch as red tailed hawks soar over head, eyeing the forest for prey.

The modern, warm, well equipped kitchen (every spice you can want) and open floor plan living/dining area provides for memorable moments whether they be intimate chats by the wood burning stove or listening to music on the amazing sound system, relaxing in the large fenced in garden, preparing food on the BBQ, lazing in the outdoor bath tub or star gazing by the fire pit.

Climb a mountain?

PETS
Well behaved Pets are welcome. We have a wonderful fenced in yard which pets can play safely. Please let us know if there is any pet 'spillage' or damage to furniture or rugs.

BEARS:
Guests are advised that this area is inhabited by bears. Please be alert when outdoors of your surroundings. These bears are capable of opening car doors and doors to the house as well. It is recommended that all food is removed from vehicles and doors are kept locked. Property owners are not responsible for damage done to vehicles or any other guest property left outdoors. The bears are kind and not interest in human encounters, just their food! The one thing to know about bears is not to come between a mom and her cubs. If you follow that one rule, you will be fine.

TECHNOLOGY:
We have a a smart-TV with Roku system that allows you to log into your own Netflix and other streaming accounts. To ensure a reliable rural internet connection for those essential zoom calls, we have two systems: Skyrunner and T-Mobile commercial hotspot. Download speeds vary between 10-35mbps, and upload speeds between 5-20mbps.
The surround sound system provides a great audio experience and is also extended to the back deck.

WARMTH
We have the best Wood burning stove and have a plentiful supply of logs. It is super easy to light, and it will provide all the heat you could need.

WINTER
This is a mountain house. For guests arriving in winter, please be mindful of the weather. Roads are narrow and curvy in spots and may become icy and hazardous when the occasional winter storm hits. 4WD vehicles are recommended. No refunds will be given due to weather or road conditions.

Maximum capacity is limited to 8 folks, including children. The house is on a septic system (like much of the local area), so exceeding capacity would mean an overloaded septic system, which means open sewage issues which... ew. Nobody wants that.

No parties allowed! Parties are strictly banned across the entire platform. Also, we are in a quiet residential community. Neighbors will not hesitate to report excessive noise to the police and to us. Immediate eviction with *no refund* will result if there is a party on the property.

Guests have full access to the house (minus small locked owner's closet), front and back deck, outdoor tub, and our private fenced garden. We have a large double garage which also presents as a yoga exercise room. You will also find a dumbwaiter to bring up all your supplies.

Great Spot

We had a great vacation. This home has everything you could want. We loved the Expresso Machine. And having a direct path to the Blue Ridge Mountain to Sea Trail was perfect. We could hike as far as we wanted without ever getting in the car. Being able to put the car in a garage is always a big plus and having a dumb waiter for our luggage was great. The owners were terrific.

Outstanding

The house is very private and secluded in a beautiful setting. It has easy access to hiking trails, but it is only minutes from restaurants and a grocery store. If you are inclined to cook in, the kitchen is probably the most well stocked of any VRBO I have ever stayed in and the quality of the cookware is incredible for a rental. The furnishings are pet friendly and the large yard provides your dog with plenty of room to roam. The fact that it is fenced in makes keeping your pet totally stress free. Communication with the owners was simple and helpful. One really nice detail is that the owners left a vase of freshly cut flowers on the dining table. That was a very nice touch.

Peaceful Zen Getaway!

This is such a beautiful, romantic and peaceful property. Husband and I loved feeling alone in the woods yet surrounded by eclectic art and cozy furnishings. The outdoor bath is a must do. Husband is a cyclist and took the lower path to the Mountain to Sea trail then to the Blue Ridge Parkway for an amazing hike daily. Close enough to town for great eating and sightseeing. Loved it!

Peaceful mountain retreat within Asheville

Location great close to everything including hiking trails. Yet far enough away to be peaceful. Owners Jane and Scott were very responsive. The house and property were very well taken care of. Full of all comforts and great vibes. Loved being there. Kitchen was full of everything we needed to bake and cook. Outdoor areas were very much enjoyed. Loved the outdoor tub!

Blue Ridge Magic

My family stayed in this beautiful home while visiting relatives in Asheville. It was so comfortable and welcoming that we spent plenty of time there reading, watching hummingbirds on the back porch, putting together puzzles and listening to my son learn to expand his guitar skills. The home is close to everything while maintaining a more remote natural feel which is nearly impossible to do. It was lovely to watch chipmunk and birds while taking an outdoor shower and the sun on the front porch while drinking coffee each morning was heavenly. We hope to be back each summer to experience the spirit and magic of the Blue Ridge mountains in this beautiful retreat.

Wonderful!

We loved staying in this creative, unique home for our trip to NC! Space for everyone, and anything needed available. Excellent kitchen for cooking, private and peaceful fenced backyard with a porch great for relaxing in the early morning hours with a cup of coffee or visiting any time of day. We brought our city pups and they didn't want to leave the lovely yard! The beds were SO comfortable and everyone slept well- not always the case when traveling. Trails were easy to access right from the property. Communications with the owner were lovely. The outdoor shower was such a treat to experience! We'll definitely stay here again if available on our next trip.
