Sunset cove is a charming lake front private property with rare sand beach, shallow water entry, incredible sunsets and great location to explore the region. Completely renovated (2022) lake cottage offers a great place to relax and is a base for an incredible vacation. Located in a quiet neighborhood consisting of private homes and camps.
Sunset Cove consists of two bedrooms, a sunroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, large screened in porch, large outdoor deck, level yard, and an outdoor shower! New mini-split heat pump provides Air Conditioning and/or heat year round. An outdoor grill and fire pit complement the lawn furniture and picnic table on the lake side of the property.
Water access is unique on this lake as many places have a road to cross and/or rocky, slippery waterfronts. Sunset Cove offers a natural sand beach with gently sloping ledge rock once you are in the water. (Although water shoes are always recommend in the lake)
The cottage is 1 hour from downtown Montreal, Burlington and Lake Placid! Point Au Roche State Park located 4 miles away. Plattsburgh is a quick 15 drive south. Hiking in the Adirondack Mountains is highly recommended due to our close proximity to the High Peaks region. Lake Champlain is a Professional Bass fishing stop on all major tours. The main US/Canada border crossing is 22 miles away, about 16 miles by boat.
Bring your toys! Boat launch is 3 miles away. The bay is suitable for boat mooring and there are several marinas around that offer short term slip rental. Kayak and Paddle Board from our beach or load up and seek out adventure on other parts of the lake. Bicycle tours regularly pass by and an incredible ride around the north portion of Lake Champlain is possible from right out our door. Mountain Bikers have access to some great terrain a short distance away

Spring is the start to great outdoor adventures, Summer provides endless opportunities on the water, in the mountains or exploring the cities and towns that surround Lake Champlain. The Fall continues to allow for numerous outdoor activities and exploration and the Winter might be the best hidden gem up here for adventure!
