What an absolute beautiful place to stay! Our grandkids from Florida wanted to see snow. This place became available and I'm beyond thrilled every thing turned out as it should! Not a bad drive to the Ski resort. We loved it all! Super clean and fully stocked! Looking forward to future stays! Joe was great!!

Very nicely remodeled property right on New River and close to several sections of National a park for hiking. Had everything we needed for peaceful weekend. Rafting was out for us this weekend due to very high waters.

Lovely New River Central Location Home Base
This location was the perfect home base for us as we explored the New River Gorge National Park. Mornings and evening were spent sitting on the lovely porch listening to the river while we drank our coffee or cocktails. The cabin was really nice and comfortable. Like others mentioned there is no cell service and spotty WiFi but that was perfect for us since we all disconnected from our addictive rectangles. Just a heads up to bring a jug of water for the coffee maker in case like us you stop at the store before checking in. Oh and it was an honor to learn the history of Granny Tabor!

Wonderful experience
This site is simply amazing. Clean, out of the way, and beautiful setting. The communication with the host was amazing! He was responsive, knew the area well, and offered many helpful suggestions about the area (like the hidden beach down the road). He went way above and beyond making sure our stay was perfect. I have read some reviews about the Wifi; no, there is no cell reception, as you are on top of a mountain! But the Wifi hotbox worked just fine! We had a wonderful time, and created great memories.

Amazing Cabin in the New River Gorge National Park
This place is amazing. Waking up to the sound of the river rushing over the rapids was heavenly. It's conveniently located inside the park. Hiking, fishing, rafting, anything you're interested in doing is close by.

Great stay
We loved the location. The only bad thing was the driveway was too steep to park on so you have to park at the bottom and carry everything up when you get there and down when you leave. The house was great and the views are even better.

Enjoyable stay
Host was very helpful and answered questions quickly. Location was great for us to explore the different visitor centers of New River Gorge National Park. We enjoyed the peaceful setting from the deck looking out onto the river.

Overall, it was a great stay. The only downside was that we did not have internet or cell service (we have verizon). The owner did let us know that there was a problem with the wifi on our first night and after talking to some of the locals we gathered this is a common problem. Unplugging was part of the plan for our trip but we couldn't even google information on the local attractions or even pull up a map without driving away from the cabin where cell service was better (kind of embarrassing how reliant on the internet we are!). I would still recommend this rental but if you are planning a stay I would recommend you do research ahead of time on any places you want to go and bring a map just in case.

Cabin overlooking the River
We stayed for two nights at Granny’s Cabin. Everything was there to make our stay comfortable. We visited different parts of New River Gorge NP for two days. We also visited Tamarack which is an artisan venue all with hand made items from West Virginians. Very unique items. Good place to explore the National Park and the River.

Awesome place!
The cabin was great! Clean, quiet, and right next to the river. Neighbors are nice and have a sweet dog that likes to say hi! Would def recommend!

Great Friends Getaway
Communication was great from the start. The cabin looked even better in person than the pictures online. Very clean, nice furnishings, spacious front porch, and everything was in working order. Air conditioning worked great. Easy access to the New River and boat launches. We kayaked near the cabin for hours! Gorgeous views! Just wanted to mention that the WiFi connection is spotty. Be aware that you will be in a gorge and cell phone signals and data are likely in the one bar area at best (I have Verizon). We did not come to this cabin to be on our phones so this really did not affect us. Overall, very cozy and relaxing. Would definitely rent again if we are in the area. Thank you for making this trip a breeze!

Great family vacation
Let me start with saying the location of this property is amazing. My husband and I sat on the porch for at least three hours a day. It is so beautiful there. My entire family loved the cabin it was very clean and beautifully crafted. The AC blasted. The furniture was comfortable. The only complaint on that is there is not enough seating in the living room. We compromised with outdoor chairs. The WiFi is non existent as well as cell service. It really shouldn’t be advertised. As far as the property the only real negative was that the shower did not drain properly. So a family of 6 that made it impossible. There were also a lot of bugs in the shower. But in a cabin we weren’t worried about it. But everything else was great. The only suggestion other than more seating would be candles or flashlights. We lost power one night in a storm. And didn’t have backups. Overall we had a wonderful trip and would stay there again.

If your looking for a quiet, secluded, riverside cabin this is the one for you. We visited the Grandview, New River Gorge bridge, Endless Wall trail, and went white water rafting on the Lower New River(short drive from them all). Loved waking up in the morning, drinking coffee on the front porch, watching the humming birds and listening to the sounds of the rippling water. Only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
