This home is hard to describe with words! Conveniently located 2 miles east of Packwood, Washington and 2 ½ hours from either Portland or Seattle. From the house it is only a 20 minute drive to White Pass Ski Resort which has double in size this year with over 700 acres of skiing, 2 new lifts and a mid mountain lodge.

With Two Master Suites, a third bedroom with a queen bed, a Pull Our Sofa in the media room and two single futons in the loft area (for children only), this home can easily be shared by two families.

Being built right on the Cowlitz River and having an incredible view of Mt. Rainier are only two of this home’s amazing amenities. The hot tub is close to river for you to relax in after a long day of hiking or skiing. An outdoor fire pit is ready for roasting marshmallows. A media room is waiting for you with the latest electronic entertainment equipment. When it comes time to cook, you will find the fully equipped kitchen a wonderfully place to cook and entertain. Or if you wish, you can cook on the gas BBQ outside. A gas fireplace in the living room will make your evenings very enjoyable.

White Pass Ski Trip

This place is amazing. Wonderful views, plenty of space, perfectly located for White Pass & Packwood. We’ll definitely be back for a 3rd visit.

White Pass Weekend Getaway

Part of me wants to tell everyone that this place was terrible & to stay away so we can selfishly keep this place a secret. Ha. But it was amazing! A secluded spot right along the Cowlitz that gives you all of the relaxing privacy you could ask for, while still being just minutes from Packwood, and 20 minutes from the White Pass Ski area. And that hot tub right along the river after skiing all day was awesome. We’ll be back soon!!

Stunning property

We had an amazing stay in this river home. The property is beautiful and nicer than the pictures show. We enjoyed watching the eagles hunt all day and the views of the mountain were very memorable. It was a short trip up to White Pass to ski and areas for sledding. We had one minor issue and the property manager was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Family Home

2nd year in a row that we’ve spent Christmas with our adult children in this home. Perfect each time. Location is perfect, close to Whitepass for skiing, minutes to DT and the River view is spectacular. Lots of space and very clean.

Stunning

We had such a great time at this property. My mouth dropped when I seen the backyard. The hot tub was a bonus. The inside was very clean and the pictures do NOT do it justice. Just book it!

Awesome house!

The home is gorgeous and immaculate. The property is private with a lovely setting near the river. Everything was perfect, couldn't be better. We enjoyed the short drive up to silver falls trail, which doesn't require a reservation line other areas of mount Rainier. We stopped by the local brewery as well with live music and a fun crowd everyone in our group lives this home.

3 day trip to Mt. Rainier & Mt. St. Helens

Very nicely furnished house along a mountain stream with beautiful view of Mt. Rainier. Quiet & secluded property that’s only a very short distance to Packwood. We had beautiful weather during our stay…..mostly sunny, warm & dry.

Great location!

Located just outside of the town of Packwood where you can get groceries, hang out at a brewery, and get hand dipped icecream — and just 15 minutes from the park entrance. House was clean and new, with plenty of areas to explore along the river. Would recommend to friends and family.

Gorgeous property with fantastic views

My wife and I and our two adult children with partners stayed at this beautiful property for six nights. It has everything you would want, a luxurious large home with amazing views from every room of the river and Mount Rainier, with the relaxing sound of the flowing river, and a large outside property that invites you to come out and enjoy your company in the jacuzzi or around the fire pit after a day of hiking in the fabulous Mount Rainier National Park less than 20 minutes away. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of seating for six people to relax and dine together. It was hot outside and the downstairs AC helped keep it comfortable upstairs as well although the media room stayed quite warm, where we spent only little time. A few large fans in the bedrooms would be an extra plus to add. The beds are quite firm but the group upstairs adjusted with a few extra blankets put on one of the beds. Overall everyone slept well. The river was cold as expected, but we all got in for a dip and some even went floating in the water down a stretch by the property. The glacial flour makes the water murky but beautifully aqua, so you have to be careful if you go in as there are lots of large rocks. We had a wonderful time and I must highly recommend this gorgeous property and setting. In addition, the property manager Lee Ann was excellent at responding and communicating.

Perfect

Actually it looks better in person than the photos- it’s massive and gorgeous wirh views of the river and mountains that can’t be beat. The kitchen is very well stocked. One of the upstairs beds is way too hard for us but some may like it. Additional bed pillows would have been nice. Otherwise, a perfect stay!!! It is close to the main road and walking distance to Packwood but still so, so, so quiet and peaceful

The house was perfect for our family Christmas celebration. Location to White Pass was super convenient and they had decorated for Christmas which was a lovely surprise!

Luxury house in beautiful location

This house is large and has a number of luxury features, such as a two-sided fireplace and double shower in the primary bedroom. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and the media room has a large smart tv. The outdoor hot tub has views of Mt. Rainier (as does the living room/kitchen/dining room). The furniture is dated, but comfortable. We enjoyed a family Thanksgiving in which everyone could be together, but also have their private spaces and our dog could come too!!

Great Stay at the River

We had a great stay at the river house. It was a crazy heat wave, so we stayed inside most of the time. But, the air conditioning was great downstairs. Although there was no TV downstairs with the good AC, we had quality family time chatting, playing games, and relaxing. We also saw elk walk through the property, which was really cool. This is a great home for a family vacation!

Amazing packwood place

Couldn’t have enjoyed the place more. Perfect spot on the river, large and roomy. Even though hot tub wasn’t working, we didn’t miss it. So much to do w great hiking close by in Mt Rainier.

Stunning location

This home is situated alongside a beautiful stretch of river with a postcard worthy view of Mt. Rainer. The home has strong architectural features and would have been stunning in its debut 20 years ago. Today, the fixtures and furnishings are dated and worn. Kitchen supplies should be sorted for duplicates and misfits and probably best to be restocked. The hot tub was broken, but the caretaker was very kind and generous to provide a growler of beer/cider in exchange. The house was very clean. We would definitely consider staying again but recommend the owners undertake a modernization effort.

Highly Recommended - Beautiful

This house is amazing - absolutely beautiful!!! Very comfortable living and dining areas. Beds and linens were great. Beautiful outdoor seating near the river. We saw Elk in the morning. Hot tub was nice. Great location for exploring Mt. Ranier and you can see the mountain from the house. Very secluded and private. We will stay here again when we come to the area!!!

Stunning views, beautiful home

Walking in, my jaw dropped when I saw Rainier from the dining room window. Home was super comfortable and had great shared space and private areas. Kitchen was very well equipped. Close to hiking and exploring, and a lovely river is just steps away (a bit of a scramble). Everyone in the family loved our time here and enjoyed the privacy and animal spotting (elk, eagles, ducks, trout, etc…)

Spectacular setting
