About this property
Wheel House-Secluded Chalet Close to Ohiopyle in Heart of Laurel Highlands
Come enjoy our A-frame Chalet secluded on 2 wooded acres. Enjoy the serenity of the sound of Koozer Run as you relax on the deck or by the fire pit. We are conveniently situated just off of Glades Pike (31) and a few minutes from Hidden Valley and Seven Springs Resorts, Falling Water, and Ohiopyle. You will find all of the comforts of home including a large, well stocked kitchen, open concept dining, large deck, and great room. The downstairs game room provides a pool table, TV, and extra relaxation space.
The house is nestled on the side of the mountain off a private drive just 2 miles from the Hidden Valley Resort entrance, and 10 miles from Seven Springs. Enjoy all of the social activities the resorts have to offer along with the stunning beauty of the laurel highlands then return back and relax at the Wheel House.
Recline back in the comfortable, top grain leather sofa in the open concept great room with vaulted and rustic beamed ceilings. Watch your favorite shows or movies on the oversized flat screen TV over the fireplace. Just want to read or watch nature? No problem. This home is very spacious so while your family watches the football game in the great room, you can relax in the downstairs, curled up on the sectional sofa with your favorite book or TV show. Or simply watch nature walk by sitting on the deck as you hear the soothing rush of Kooser Run.
The Wheel House is not just a place to rent; it's a place to define your vacation - to create precious memories with family and friends and enjoy the outside as much as the inside. You may be vacationing in one of the most popular resorts in western PA, but you will feel right at home staying here at or Wheel House retreat.
We enjoy accommodating small and large groups while striving to set competitive prices for group sizes and seasons. To accomplish this, our base price is for 6 guests and for each guest greater than 6 we charge an extra fee per night. Please submit your reservation with an accurate guest count to generate the price for your group. If your party size changes, update your reservation so we can prepare the house for your comfort. Homes that accommodate larger groups require more upkeep, utilities, cleaning, and service. If you are a party of 2 we may be able to work with you. It is a great romantic getaway. Children and babies are welcome. We provide a high chair and a pack and play travel baby bed. You will need to bring your own sheets for the pack and play crib. *For your safety and for the safety of our home there are security cameras on the property that monitor the driveway and the walkway leading to the entrance. The cameras do not view any indoor space. *This home is in the woods which makes for a lovely secluded time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Do know that we share the woods with critters and insects. This comes with the territory. Most of the time there are not pesky insects outdoors but we cannot predict or control when nature decides their emergence.

About the host
Hosted by Beth

The Wheel House provides retreat for us whether we are seeking rest or adventure. Skiing, biking, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, swimming, and white water rafting are a few of our favorite adventure activities. When we need rest, we gather in the great room for games, reading, and TV. We also love to cook and eat together and the open concept kitchen provides lots of opportunity to be together while preparing and enjoying meals. The relaxing sound of Kooser Run sets our souls to rest. We hope you find retreat like we do at the Wheel House.
Why they chose this property
We love the proximity to adventures while set in a secluded spot.
What makes this property unique
Our home is spacious, secluded, and in proximity to all that the Laurel Highlands has to offer. We love the rustic look of the exposed beams and barn wood combined with modern comfort. We love to cook in our large well stocked kitchen.
The large deck and fire pit areas are wonderful places to sit and relax. Strolling the property is a serine and therapeutic activity that we sometimes share with deer, numerous bird species, and insects. They charm us as we are situated in their habitat. Likely you found us because you enjoy this type of property. Please expect you may encounter nature while you are outside.
