There Is a large yard for the children to run and play enjoying the outdoors in eastern Tennessee. At the edge of the back yard is a short walk to the cove with a new dock that can hold up to 3 boats. There are no steps or steep hills to the cove. This is a quiet cove to enjoy all of the swimming, boating, kayaking, and fun on the lake. There is plenty of on-site boat parking also.
Entering the home on the main floor you will find the large open living, dining, kitchen area with hardwood and laminate flooring. There is a love seat and sleeper sofa to relax and enjoy the large flat screen tv mounted on the wall. The dining room has a large table with 10 chairs and a bar with 4 chairs. The fully stocked kitchen has a large refrigerator with a ice maker, dishwasher, stove, and microwave with lots of counter top room to prepare large meals. Off of the kitchen you will find the laundry room with and half bath. Also on the main level is the master bedroom with a king size bedroom suite and a flat screen tv. The bedroom has a private full bath with a corner shower and Jacuzzi tub. This makes the main level accessible for someone in your group that is not comfortable with stairs.
The kitchen door leads to the heated and cooled garage area with another refrigerator, picnic table, ping pong table and corn hole boards. There is also another set of stairs leading to the basement area.
Up the open staircase on the main level you will find a open loft with a queen and 2 full size beds. Across the catwalk there is a large full bath with tub and shower. At the end of the hallway is the second large bedroom with a king size, and full size bed. There is also a crib for the little ones.
Down the open staircase there is a large den/game/sleeping area with a stone wood burning fire place with a flat screen tv on the mantle and a sectional couch. There is a 4 place dinette set and a bar with 3 chairs. Behind the bar area is open shelving with lots of books and games. The game area has a futon couch, foosball table and arcade games. On the back side of the open stair case are 2 queen size bedrooms and a full bath with shower. Next to the full bath is a door that leads up the stairs to the garage area.
Just a short walk away you have Indian Creek Market and the Scoop Ice cream parlor to grab a quick bite to eat or a treat for the kids and adults too. There are several marinas nearby to launch your boat or rent pontoons and jet skis. A TVA launch area is on state route 92 near the Moonhill bridge.
Douglas Lake is a TVA controlled reservoir and is drawn down from late fall through early spring. The lake is still there, but docks may be sitting on the lake bottom and not at the edge of the property.

Wedding trip

Loved this place. Very clean and good location to valley view venue in parrotsville TN, which was the reason we was there for our daughters wedding. This place had everything that you would need.

Family trip

The lake house is awesome. Very well stocked with all that we needed for a week's vacation spending time together. The space was big, clean, had lots of games, plenty of yard space and access to the lake. Easy drives to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and to the marina for fishing, tubing, and relaxing on a pontoon rental. We had a great time.

If want peace and quiet, this is the place.

Feel like the property manager is unorganized and has too much to handle. Didn't get in till about 4:30 even though check in time is 4. Some things were broke, including toaster, foosball people and ping pong paddles looked 25 years old. When read the handbook guide not all things promised are given. House holds 14 people and only have 2 trash cans. Not enough. Had to drive trash up street. When talked to manager, she didn't even know who talking to. Went to wrong place when was going to bring us some items, including first pile of wood for first fire. Never got the wood! Nice house though. Very very peaceful.

Wonderful Stay

The property was exactly as advertised. The house was clean, the views were beautiful, and they even leave a nice welcome basket for you. The front and back porch were nice to sit on and the hot tub was very nice. The host was always responsive and communicated with us at every step of the way. Would stay there again.

Family Christmas

We enjoyed our stay, the house was perfect for the thirteen of us. Kids had their space and adults had rooms. We liked the fact that the house was close enough to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge to enjoy the attractions. Dandridge was a very interesting town as well. Kesley gave us some great ideas. And was attentive to our needs

nice family vacation

Very nice home on Douglas lake, everything as advertised, including some lake toys for the kids etc. Home was spacious and fit our family of 8 adults and 5 children just fine. Property manager was very attentive and even assisted with a pontoon boat rental for a couple of days. Would definitely rent for a future family stay.

Twin Family Reunion

Great location. Loved the property for playing games with the kids and swimming off the dock. (Check for the time of year for water level, we went when the lake was more full) It was quiet and peaceful. There was plenty of space to share with 2 families (3 adults and 6 teenagers)
