Friends weekend Ruined
After coordinating an annual friends weekend, we were looking forward to a great friends gathering in Lexington. It all can crashing down 1 hour before check-in, when I received a phone call from the property manager (The Kentucky Life Property & Health Green Team) informing me that they would be cancelling our reservation without any explanation. About half an hour later - we found the same property listed on a competing vacation rental app for triple the price. After calling the property manager back - they denied the listing and it was later taken down. Perhaps my favorite moment of this miserable interaction, was when the management company would not “officially cancel” our reservation which delayed Vrbo from being able to accept the fact of this cancellation. After close to 8 different phone calls and emails exchanges with vrbo, they successfully did nothing to assist me in finding comparable lodging for 10 people. Which of course ended up being a mess and costing significantly more than the original Vrbo reservation.
In summary - the lack of professionalism and blatant absence of customer service from both the property manager/management company and vrbo is unacceptable. I would highly recommend avoiding this manager/management company (The Kentucky Life Property & Health Green Team). Further - I would recommend avoiding doing business with vrbo altogether, as it’s clear they are the enabler, by supporting such a poor organization.
