We had a wonderful vacation! The home was exactly like the pictures. Plenty of space for adults and kids to hang out. The house came with access to bikes and beach essentials and was a short ride to the beach. It was stocked with everything you would need. AND we loved that it was pet-friendly! We’ll definitely be back.
This property was in a great location with awesome views. The house had everything you could need and the response time from the owner was so quick. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking for a get away to Kiawah island.
The house was very clean and spacious for our family of 5. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals at home and the house was stocked with necessities such as dish soap, paper towels, spices, plastic wrap, etc. It’s located about a mile from the various beach accesses, but the bikes make it a quick and pleasant trip. We enjoyed the sunset from the back deck in the evenings. As we went during the spring and the “pollening,” an indoor door mat by the front/back doors would’ve helped to cut down on the pollen that came in on our shoes. Even with taking our shoes off, it ended-up everywhere. We would definitely return -it was a perfect stay!
Wonderful Kiawah property, owners were great and very responsive. Property is very well equipped down to the smallest details such as bikes, beach gear and even spices!!
Absolutely beautiful, comfy home with stunning views and sunsets. House is well stocked, comfortable, exactly as listed. The sunroom was our favorite spot to watch the wildlife! Sunsets from the deck are outstanding. Sad to leave.
The property was everything we expected. Perfect for the group we had, 4 adults, one toddler and two wonderful labradors. Stocked like your own home would be, perfect location to everything you would want to participate and enough room for all and then some. Great host, anytime we had a question, she was available with an answer, great communicator.Perfect place to come back over and over.
Overall, the owners are super friendly and we're excited to stay again. The place was clean and the view was peaceful. Plenty of parking, it was quiet, the rooms were larger and kitchen was useful. We didn't get to use the bikes but we plan on using them next time. Recommend.
The house is well appointed . Would stay again . . Only negatives The king bed on the first floor is very uncomfortable , and there is no way to organize the closet with your clothes. Basically lived out of a suitcase. There were 5 hangers .
We had the best experience. Our group consisted of 7 adults, 1 infant (3 month old) and a Labrador. The communication was excellent and the home was immaculate. We were pleasantly surprised at the details of the home which made everyone in our group feel comfortable and made our stay more enjoyable. The sunset views were stunning and the bike trail is right across the street. The beach is a short drive and we didn’t have a problem with it at all. Highly recommend this home to anyone whether it’s solo, small family or large family with pet. Cannot say enough good things about our experience.
This home is great! We had my husband, myself, 3 adult children and 4 teen boys and we had plenty of room and tvs! The bike to the beach isn't too bad... right at a mile... same to the Sanctuary and the Nest. Gorgeous views of the marsh, tons of wildlife, and peace and quiet! Decorated well and very clean, well stocked with bikes and chairs, extra towels, and a 2nd fridge! The 2nd washer/ dryer was awesome for beach towels etc. Owners were so incredibly kind and quick to answer any questions!
Lovely marsh views. We have rented larger homes, closer to the beach but really didn’t buy us that much….maybe a pool (expensive swim).
We had 10 total in the middle weekend and it worked out fine. Multiple TVs a plus.
Interesting generational observation.
My wife and I (80+) arrived looking for a “book” on amenities. Our kids knew to look online….and their kids neither needed, expected nor wanted any directions……

Broke a bone in my foot, in surf, so had to leave early. My son and children thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the week.
A nice VRBO !
This home exceeded our expectations. We were 6 adults and 2 dogs - more than enough room for both gathering and private time. The home is well appointed, but even better stocked. Everything you could want for a beach vacation - chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and great bikes - which you need to get around the entire island. Also a tow to get everything to the beach - which is a beautiful mile ride from the house. The kitchen was the most superiorly stocked kitchen of any VRBO. Plenty of spices, tinfoil, and everything you have in your own kitchen. And the marsh view is brilliant and the neighborhood delightful. If we go back to Kiawah - we would certainly rent the same home. Lastly, Michelle is a regular, quick and positive communicator. She is a great host.

About the host

We loved Kiawah so much we decided to share the experience with everyone. We are from Massachusetts- Duxbury and enjoy golf and the beach. We have 2 dogs that love to join us in Kiawah. So we know that you want to vacation with Fur family. We have been host since 2018. We have two properties on Kiawah. 2 bedroom in tennis club villas and a 4 bedroom house in Vanderhost passed the second gate.
Why they chose this property
The house is located on the scenic Marsh area of the Kiawah River. We enjoy drinking coffee on the deck or sunroom and enjoy the marsh views at sunset and sun raise with amazing birds and wildlife. It is a secluded and private section away from the Hussle of the island.
What makes this property unique
This 4 bedroom house has enough room for two families and all the kids. The bunk bed room is the perfect kid room with 4 beds. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with a Master with a king and another room with a queen bed. A half bath and full bathroom on first floor and 2nd on second floor. Outdoor shower to rinse off all the sand!!!
