This is by far the best place we’ve stayed. Perfect for adults couples and just so nicely decorated and comfortable. I can’t say enough nice things about this property. If you’re considering staying here, do. You won’t be disappointed.
My wife and I have had nothing but positive experiences every time we stay at Lone Star Cabins. For us the property is ideal. It is a short drive into town and at the same time it is far enough away from town that we get that quite relaxing feel that we long for when we need a short get away from the DFW metroplex.
The cottages are very cute and excellent location. Easy to get to town and wineries in the area. The view out the back porch was very nice. Highly recommend the Lone Star Cabins.
This was our second time here and we stayed in one of the new cabins. All of the cabins are clean, spacious, and built with quality. The grounds are also well maintained and the area is quiet. We are very satisfied with our stay, as were our friends that stayed in a separate cabin. We have recommend this to other couples and they too have enjoyed their stay.
We booked four cabins for weekend get away for a bunch of friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. Everyone loved the cabins and the proximity to nice ones on the outskirts of Fredericksburg.
We loved staying at the Lost Pines cabins. Our unit was very clean and spacious and comfy. They aren’t in town but we kind of preferred being closer to the wineries themselves.
The cabin was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The location was quiet and relaxing. This was the best cabin we’ve ever rented in Fredericksburg. We will be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Very peaceful outside on the back porch and the western interior decor was amazing! Very clean and just what we needed. We definitely want to go back.
The title of my review sums it up! This place was practically brand new across the board. Super clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a nice getaway weekend for 2. Directly across the road from Altstadt Brewery, the location is quiet, just outside of downtown Fredericksburg with about a 5 minute drive into town. Walmart is close by too if you need to make a quick stop for goodies. The wife and I would 100% stay here again!!! Wi-Fi is good, has a smart tv in the living room, ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. These little things go a long way in our book! Great job!!
Fredericksburg is a cool little town and this was a great place close to town to stay. The cabin seemed brand new, everything was very nicely done, great shower/ bathroom. Location was right in the middle of all the wineries and only 8-10 min. from the downtown shopping area. Communication with the host was easy and responded quickly. Would definitely stay again!
The cabin is nestled among tall shade trees at the back of the property, so it is nice and quiet. The inside was very nicely furnished and comfortable, with all the amenities. After exploring the area, we enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch, sipping a glass of wine. Highly recommend!
Everything was fresh and new. Very well equipped. Communication was excellent. We will return.

First time at this place, not our last. The property is, in a word, outstanding. Very well appointed, new, quiet. Easy access, only minutes from some of the better wineries, and less than 15 from Fredericksburg, right off US 290 but far enough back that road noise was non-existent. Despite some recent heavy rains the gravel roadways were completely accessible and not muddy.
Right outside the back every morning we were able to observe elk and oryx running at the adjacent property. The floor plan is exceptional, and everything we could have asked for was already there. Cleanliness is outstanding, the only complaint involved the refrigerator, it made a lot of noise at times.
