Not ready for prime time.

Please read to the end***The cabin overall will be nice and comfortable once it is completed. The problems were. It was not completely renovated when we arrived. The third bedroom, and the rear deck was still under construction. And the oven was very old and not working. Also we did not have a washer and dryer as advertised. Then the plumbing in the bathroom failed. The owner offered to have us use another cabin next door to use the bathroom. Its was a little bit of a hassle but we are used to primitive camping and wasn't a deal breaker. I do want to say the owner was very attentive and was doing all he could to fix the situation with the plumbing. He was getting the runaround from the home repair plumbing guys. We are already talking about coming back next spring. The cabin is in a wonderful location next to a beautiful stream in the back yard. And is a 30 min drive from Estes and Lyons. The cabin was clean and our bed was comfortable. Even with its current short comings this will be a wonderful spot to stay when completed. And the owner also offered a large discount on a future stay to make up for the hassle.

Originally from St. Louis, I moved to Colorado over a decade ago to enjoy all the things I've always been passionate about....Namely, the great outdoors. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, overlanding, all sports and traveling. I've worked in the real estate industry and have for the past twenty five years which I still find fascinating.

Why they chose this property

I've travelled the extensively throughout Europe and the United States. When I ventured upon this idyllic river front property, I jumped at the chance to purchase it. It's an easy drive up the newly re-done HWY 7 canyon which one of the most scenic in the country. It's also extremely rare to find quality river frontage, especially so close to fun city's such as Lyons, Boulder and Estes Park (and close to D.I.A)...-There's always fun things to do here year round. Wild life is abundant in the area and as I write this brief synopsis, a bald eagle is flying along the river looking to pick off an unsuspecting brown trout from the meandering river just a short distance away...There's no need to turn of a T.V. here when nature is in such full display.

What makes this property unique

The river frontage!!! There is 300' of glorious and continuous river frontage here which is like finding a needle in a hay stack in this area of Colorado- Unless you're interested in staying at a hotel in Estes Park amongst all the tourists. The cabins are updated yet historic. There have only been three property owners of this parcel in the last eighty years which tells you something....
